I’Ve got a bit of a different review. Today. Um got the special duties unit in 112 scale for uh by damn toys, um it’s, something i’m quite new to um. I picked this one up a while ago. One at seven, a nice little beverage there um he’s one of the sas crew um, absolutely brilliant they’re, not cheap figures, i’ve managed to get deals on them. Tell it about a hundred pounds uh each or you know just under um. So i paid a lot less for mine. I won’t pay that kind of money, but, as you can see, the figures themselves are really good. They would articulate really realistic main thing about them. That makes them much better is that they obviously have real fabric clothing. Um. You know actually properly stitched everything moves, it’s, manipulable everything opens, i mean even the little thing there opens, so it makes it obviously a lot more realistic, um anyway that’s enough of the old one, but model number is no dot. P e s, zero, zero! Seven! Now be careful when ordering these guys, because they do one twelfth scale well, so they do 1 12 and they do one sixth scale. They probably do more of the 1 6 that’s more common sizes, that’s your action, man that the 12 inch and that’s, where the confusion is one sixth scale. Figures tend to be 12 inch. 112 tend to be six inch so for your cross rc’s your 112 scale trucks.
They can get away with your 1 10th. You know as long as you’ve not got a trx6 they’re going to look silly next to that, but they look brilliant with the cross rc stuff, um there’s, not a lot out there on the one to twelve market to be fair, so um. This is the uh box, hong kong special units. I don’t know what that is, but i presume it’s a police unit, um so there’s two figures. This guy has, i think he has the heckling, clock mp5, but this should be everything that’s in the box i mean the guns are really good: they’re, really detailed um, so yeah let’s have a bit of a close up there, i’ll, try and zoom. In later, when i move the camera, the lighting in here isn’t perfect um i’m. Still in the shed. I need to pull my finger out and actually move out into my house that i’ve bought um but yeah that’s enough of that. So what you get inside have a quick look. There let’s take the cover off. I have briefly opened this just to make sure it was all there. So we have inside a right shield. Nothing too special there um, we have got the hexagon mp5 we’ve got glock 17, something else and a form of pump action shotgun, not really sure what that is. Um but yeah, so it’s all really detailed stuff. It’S, not like your toy grade things. Well, not the money you’re paying anyway, so let’s get this open.
As you can see, all the hands fall out everywhere, but the good thing is, i have actually got all the hands, so i don’t know how well you can see this, but you’ve got open hands. You’Ve got hands that are pointing probably trigger fingers and you’ve got ones that would be sort of like gripping like a fist. So i’ve already actually taken this helmet off because that’s the one that’s normally advertised and put his face on because i thought having two of these might be a little bit in your face. So i like this one though, because he’s all wearing the tactical gear, but over a pair of jeans and uh he’s got his sneakers on which have even got a certain brand tick. There i mean the attention to detail. I think this is a a newer figure released than than the ss guy i mean he’s brilliant, but the extra detail on this seems to be even better, so i’ll try and bring him up to the camera there. This is where someone else would have a nice fancy stand that turns around on its own. I don’t have that so we’ll work with what we’ve got so uh, but yeah as you can see, he uh articulates pretty well. Legs can go up. You know he’s got uh motion in the foot, the knee right up in the top of the quads, so you know he can do a nice running stance. He can also lean over to the side.
Elbows move hands move. Obviously, if the sleeve slips up, you can see some of the joints there, so i think that’s the good thing about the clothing is it keeps it looking realistic when they’re articulating um, so you know and like the other figure he would sit down. I don’t know if he could lay down too well um. You know, because i know a lot of people will buy these, for you know, sort of model collecting or going along in a static display, i’ve seen people put them on um instagram and do photos sort of in a scale environment, um, but yeah they’re really good. Again, you can see all the details. You’Ve got all of the uh clips body, armor all of the pouches for various different things and then obviously all of the equipment would go inside there. So let’s get him equipped with something wow. Okay, so you’ve even got individual magazines in there. I wouldn’t have thought they’d flip into the guns, because i wanted a pair of tweezers for that, but you can certainly put i love this gun. I think he, the sas guy, needs it more than this guy, because it’s uh inherently what inherently and that’s about what what the sas would have used in uh close quarters engagements. So you obviously got to choose the right hands here. So he’s going to be right. Handed so that’s this, this one might work that one there that’s got the clip, so they just pop off and just a fairly firm push on, but obviously they try and articulate while you’re moving them.
So you’ve got to make sure that you uh get it on there properly. Ah now that’s clipped on properly that ain’t going anywhere soon, but i may have destroyed the gun in the process. So be more gentle than me when uh trying to put the guns on but uh trying to do everything in front of a camera can be quite difficult and challenging at times as you can see there, um let’s get one of the mags out, so i can Even put magazines sneaking outside of the pouches all the pouches here, open i’m – not sure these little ones down here do, but all of these ones across here certainly open up the ones on the back all open up now, i’m, not going to bother undressing him because I’Ve got no use for it, but i think you can take some of the clothes off, but underneath there they’re just bare and it’s, also a bit of a nuisance, trying to get t shirts and stuff back on. But there we go very uh there’s the hong kong special duties unit. So, as you can see, he’s uh pretty much exactly the same size as the ss guy oh see. If ss is so tough he’s just he’s killed over, he couldn’t take the heat so obviously uh i’m, slightly uh biased with the ses being the best in the world, i’m sure i’m going to get loads of comments going. Oh, no! No, you know so, and so is better, but i’m british.
So therefore i support my own country, at least with some of the things they do anyway. So he’s also got a ladder. We’Ve got the uh pump action shotgun. It looks a bit like a spaz 12, but not with wood on it. It wouldn’t, um we’ve, definitely got a glock, could be a 17 uh. We’Ve got flashlight, so plenty of accessories to put in all the pieces. He’S even got a crowbar um and a radio um, which is not a bad little piece. Doesn’T, look the most detailed in the world but i’m sure once that’s on him and sort of bent up a bit that’s going to look pretty good, so um yeah. So a bit of a close up special duties unit or hong kong special duty unit by damn toys – 1 12 figure. So you got the shotgun always. This is not 80 shotgun. Mp5 i’m gon na have to stick my head around sd sub machine gun, crowbar, glock 17 pistols, radio different head it’s, all there, so i’ll give you a different angle. This is a cross rc hc6 with a call of duty figure inside. He is a tad too big, but although he’s uh he looks quite good it’s uh, he doesn’t move much so he stays in there. Whereas these guys, you can obviously make scale scenes and do a lot more with them. Um so there’s. The hong kong special duties unit give it a uh full 360.
, see all the gear one in there and i think, they’re a pretty good scale if they’ll stand up next to the truck and say they’re, both 1 12, and so is the truck so uh. If you’re, looking for any figures for the cross, rc um, damn toys do some good military and police style ones, um they look like they’ve got more stuff coming out. I think they’ve got winston churchill that i’m gon na have to get at some point. Just for a laugh him driving an rc just it it’s worth it. It’S good that’s got ta, be novelty, factor isn’t it so uh there we go. Hopefully that helps you guys choose or guys or girls choose some nice figures for the rc stuff. Like i said here’s his shield as well, so they just a nice figure to go alongside really nice scale trucks, because there’s no point spending all that money on a nice truck to then ruin it by having scale figures that are too big. Now, if anyone’s seen my videos or pictures, i do use these, but they’ll be nearer the camera or they’ll be further away and the trucks will be nearer to make it look like they’re all of a similar scale. Obviously, that would need to go further away than these guys. You get the point so um because here’s another figure where hang on. Let me get the right one, so another one of military ones. That i’ve picked up second hand.
Is these they’re really good, but they have very limited movement. They look really cool, obviously not quite as good as these guys, because, although they’re in weird positions, they’ve got real clothing, whereas this is hard like rubbery plastic um again, but he’s too big he’s, not gon. Na get in this cab any time soon i mean he’s a giant compared to the others, so uh, but your six inch action six inch action figures is what you need for a one to twelve with cross rc um. I would even argue that you can get away with these guys in one tenth as long as they’re, not something like a two x six, because they’re just too big or that unimog there i’ve got is huge for a 110 feet. I mean it dwarfs this thing. So they wouldn’t be good examples, but this 110th land rover i’ve got here. I mean obviously it’s massively massively um jumped up um. You know probably like equivalent of a six inch lift, but you could easily put him inside next to it. He does look quite small but it’s doable, whereas your cheaper action figures, i mean she’s falling apart. I really don’t know what’s going on with her. I mean she’s got a whole load of salsa movement going on there. Um and i don’t know what maybe she’s got a lockdown haircut – i’m, not quite sure, um but yeah. So you can see the difference between your typical toy grade action figure and your proper true 112 model grade stuff um.
