2020 4Runner and Remote Start What Trim Levels Does it work
So please subscribe I’m going to show you I’ve got every trim level of the Toyota 4runner 2020 we’re gon na see which one of these can operate: smart key from the key or the smart key. This is the limited it’s gon na work. This is the sr5 in nautical blue let’s. Try it lock, lock, hold down lock, not gon na work, sr5 premium, lock, lock, hold down lock it’s got a smart key. Will it work, wah, wah wah, no, on sr5 premium, TRD off road, lock, lock hold down lock. We know it works if it starts blinking here’s, the off road premium, this one’s in Barcelona, red let’s. Try it smart key. Will it work, probably not nope, not on the off road premium, either here’s the limited, lock, lock, all right, it’s blinking. So that means it’s going to work. Limited has JBL speakers. That means that it’s going to have remote starts from the key JBL speakers. The limited nightshade also has JBL speakers, so let’s hit lock, lock hold down lock. I see it flashing. This is the TRD pro it’s, an army green. It also comes in super white magnetic gray or midnight black metallic four different choices. We’Re gon na hit lack, lack and hold down lock there we go. The TRD pro also has JBL speakers. So if the sound system has JBL speakers, then it will have remote start from the key unlock. This is the venture Edition it’s, very unique, it’s, incredible and it’s also a great test subject, because this does not have JBL speakers.
The venture does not from the factory, but at Fred Anderson Toyota. We can add remote engine start, even if it doesn’t have it from the factory. Just have Fred Anderson Toyota at it and here’s. How you do it. You just hit lock, lock, lock, Music and then see it. So I have to do come to Fred Anderson, Twitter. We will add remote engine start. Does the remote start shut off when you open the door?

I’ve had my nightshade a week and was sad coming from a Cadillac to the 4Runner because I thought it didn’t have remote start. Connected the app and just learned this about the key fob! Great videos thank you!!

Thanks so much for showing me this feature. Just bought a 2020 Limited and didn't know it would do this. One question, why does it then die when I open the driver door to get in?
Super disappointed that my Off Road Premium didn't have ANY of the Remote Connect features either. We use it on my wife's Camry XSE all the time.

I don't understand why they made this SUV obsolete out of factory. I really wanted one, but I can't go back to primitive technology. No blind spot monitoring in 2020 is like no seat belt in 1996.

Weird, so just an FYI. I recently purchased a 2020 SR5, it has remote start and I use it daily. I'm curious if you missed the button sequence on the black sr5 premium? or If the remote start is only standard on the canadian models ?
Hey Jeff. I heard that the federal government laws wants 2020 and up model vehicle come standard alarm system includes remote start on every manufacturer along with standard rear automatic braking and forward automatic collision on every vehicle by next year. I read somewhere they wanted more vehicle to be safe in the road because too many car accident. Did you know about that Jeff? @ Fred Anderson Toyota
