    A Classic Mini Truck

The Datsun 620 is a classic mini truck that has been around for decades and is still popular among tuners. Team Associated has released a new version of this truck on the Apex 2 chassis, and it’s sure to be a hit.

    Unboxing the Datsun 620

I recently had the chance to unbox the Datsun 620 on the Apex 2 chassis. I was excited to see what was inside the box, and I was not disappointed. Inside the box was the XP 120 radio system, as well as the decals for the fender flares, spoiler, and other parts of the truck.

A Closer Look at the Datsun 620

Once I had the truck out of the box, I was able to take a closer look at it. The crew at Team Associated did a great job on this truck, and it looks just like the real thing. The only thing that was missing was the decals, which were included in the box.

A Closer Look at the Datsun Body Set

    The Body Set

The Datsun body set comes with all the necessary instruction manuals for the car, the radio system, the ESC, and a bag of extra parts. The receiver box setup is the same as the one found in the hunicorn. The body set has a molded front grille with openings for LED lights, although they are not included. The mirrors on the fenders give the truck a cool look. Out back, there is a molded spoiler on the tailgate, which is plastic and not lexan. It is a licensed body by Nissan, with a decal rear bumper and decal tail lights. The wipers, lower lip spoiler, bronze turbine wheels, and street rubber tires complete the look.

    The Chassis

At a quick glance, the chassis looks like the hunicorn, but there have been some changes made to it. The shocks are now adjustable, with a threaded body and adjustable preload. The battery tray has been moved to the center of the chassis, allowing for better weight distribution. The steering servo has been moved to the front of the chassis, which gives the truck more stability. The ESC and receiver box have been relocated to the center of the chassis, which helps to keep the electronics away from the heat of the motor. Finally, the wheelbase has been increased to improve the overall handling of the truck.

    Unicorn RC Truck: A Review

    The Build

The Unicorn RC truck is a great option for those looking for an RC truck that is both powerful and easy to build. The kit includes a ball bearing kit, a center dog bone, a composite out drive, and a motor plate setup. The motor plate setup allows for easy removal of the motor assembly and setting of the pinion gear on an idler gear. Taking off the top plate reveals what appears to be a center diff, but is actually locked out from the factory.

    The Electronics

The Unicorn RC truck comes with a standard metal geared servo, the Reedy sc500xp controller, with a t plug on it. It is capable of running on two to three 3s packs and comes with a program card for tweaking the settings. It also includes a 550 15 turn three slot motor for power.

    Performance

The Unicorn RC truck has a lot of power when running on a 3s pack. It has good acceleration and the steering is controllable, although it is a bit on the powerful side.

The Datsun Mini Truck: Speed Test Results

Mini trucks have always been a favorite of many. From the S10s that have been lowered to the Hunicorn that has been jumped, these vehicles have a special place in the hearts of many.

    The Datsun Mini Truck

The Datsun mini truck is no exception. With its impressive looks and power, it is sure to be a hit. To test out just how powerful this truck is, a speed test was conducted.

    Speed Test Results

The speed test was conducted using a 3s pack and a brush motor. The results? A top speed of 29! This is an impressive speed for a mini truck, especially one that is right out of the box.

Apex 2 Chassis: A Street Truck That Delivers

    Performance in the Parking Lot

The Apex 2 chassis has been driven before with the hoonicorn, but mostly in a skate park and with a lot of thrashing. In a parking lot, the performance of the Apex 2 chassis was able to be tested and the results were impressive. It is well balanced and planted in the corners, with a bit of understeer. It is also controllable and does not spin out.

    Speed and Durability

The Apex 2 chassis is a fast truck, reaching 29 miles an hour with a 3s pack and brush system. This is a respectable speed for the truck, and it has been tested with three packs so far. The downside is that it will wear through the tires quickly, as it is equipped with slicks.

Trucks: The Perfect Vehicle for Off-Road Adventures

Trucks are the perfect vehicle for off-road adventures. They are powerful, rugged and can handle any terrain. They are also great for hauling heavy loads and can be customized to fit any need. But before you take your truck off-roading, there are a few things you should consider.

    Tire Upgrades

Tires are the most important component of any off-roading vehicle. The right tires can make the difference between success and failure. If you plan on taking your truck off-roading, it is important to invest in a set of high-quality tires that are designed for off-roading. This will ensure that your truck has the grip and traction it needs to handle any terrain.

    Suspension Upgrades

Another important upgrade for off-roading is the suspension. Upgrading the suspension of your truck will give it better handling and stability on uneven terrain. You can upgrade the suspension with aftermarket parts such as shocks, springs, and bushings. Upgrading to ball bearings can also help improve the performance of your truck.

    Other Upgrades

In addition to tires and suspension, there are other upgrades that can help improve the performance of your truck. These include skid plates, winches, and lighting. Skid plates can help protect the underside of your truck from rocks and other debris. Winches can help you get out of sticky situations, and lighting can help you see in the dark.

The Datsun 620 on the Apex 2 chassis is a great truck for those who are looking for a classic mini truck. It looks just like the real thing, and the XP 120 radio system makes it easy to control. I’m looking forward to seeing what tuners can do with this truck.

The Datsun body set is a great way to give your truck a unique look. With its molded front grille, mirrors on the fenders, molded spoiler, and bronze turbine wheels, it is sure to turn heads. The chassis has also been improved, with adjustable shocks, a relocated battery tray, a relocated steering servo, and an increased wheelbase. All of these changes make the truck more stable and easier to handle.

The Unicorn RC truck is a great option for those looking for a powerful RC truck that is easy to build. It has good acceleration and controllable steering, and comes with a program card for tweaking the settings.

The Datsun mini truck is definitely a powerful vehicle. With its impressive speed test results, it is sure to be a hit with mini truck enthusiasts.

The Apex 2 chassis is a street truck that delivers. It is well balanced, controllable, and fast. It is a great option for those looking for a street truck that can handle the rigors of everyday driving. The only downside is that it will wear through tires quickly, but this is a small price to pay for the performance it offers.

Trucks are the perfect vehicle for off-roading. With the right upgrades, you can make sure your truck is ready for any terrain. Investing in high-quality tires, suspension upgrades, and other accessories can help ensure that your truck is ready for any adventure.
