A Closer Look at the Land Rover Series 2 RC Car

The workbench has been here for years and I think it’s time to put it on a little bit of an angle, give you guys a new view of the workshop. Let me know what you think about it. In the comment section below, but you’re not here to see the workshop, you’re here to see some new RC stuff – and this is pretty cool – this is the new Land Rover Series 2, it’s an awesome RC model and coming up in this video I’m going to show you what’s inside the box and show you some of the scale detail.

    Unboxing and Kit Details

FMS is really well known for their attention to detail, and they didn’t disappoint with the Land Rover Series 2. I’ve already unboxed the Land Rover; I didn’t want to put you guys through the rustling sounds of the unboxing, but here’s everything that you get in the kit. This is a 1/12 scale, ready to run model and it is available in three different colors yellow, blue, and green. I kind of like this green one, it has a unique charm. Perhaps, I should have chosen that. Nonetheless, let’s take a closer look at the truck itself.

    Amazing Design and Features

The Land Rover Series 2 RC car truly is a marvel to behold. From the moment you set eyes on it, you can’t help but be impressed by the exceptional attention to detail. The scale detailing is on point, capturing the essence of the original vehicle perfectly. The exterior is crafted with care, mimicking the defining features of the iconic Land Rover Series 2. Even the smallest components have been meticulously replicated, adding to the overall authenticity of the model.

    Impressive Radio and Control

The Land Rover Series 2 comes with a V5 radio that not only looks sleek but also offers excellent functionality. The radio features all the necessary dip switches, allowing you to program and adjust various settings, including braking. The extended cap for the rear of the radio adds a touch of style and enhances the overall user experience.

    Ready to Hit the Road

With the Land Rover Series 2 RC car, you can hit the road and experience the thrill of off-roading in style. It’s a ready-to-run model, meaning you don’t have to spend hours assembling it before you can enjoy it. Simply charge the batteries, set up your controls, and you’re good to go. The Land Rover Series 2 is built for adventure, with robust construction and reliable performance.

    The Two Options

When it comes to covering the bed area, this RC car offers two options: a full cover or a short cap. It’s hard for me to decide which one I prefer. The full cover provides a sleek and streamlined look, while the short cap adds a touch of sportiness to the design. Let me know in the comments below which one you like better.

    The Separate Windshield

One interesting feature of this RC car is that the windshield is actually separate from the rest of the vehicle. It comes with a clear plastic cover to protect it from scratches during shipping. To install it, simply snap it into place. I must admit, it bothered me to see the windshield missing, so I quickly put it on. Now, the car looks complete.

    Attention to Detail

Moving on to the overall look of the truck, I must say that the paintwork on this Land Rover is absolutely stunning. The company has always been known for their exceptional finishing on their models, and this one is no exception. The attention to detail is evident in every brushstroke.

    A Good Representation

Considering the limited space inside the RC car for the necessary control equipment, the proportions of the truck are quite commendable. The designers have done a great job in shrinking and rearranging certain elements to accommodate everything. Overall, this RC car is a good representation of the Land Rover, though the cab may appear slightly higher than it should be.

    The Amazing Design and Details

This RC car is a true masterpiece when it comes to its design and attention to detail. The metal etched grill gives it a cool and rugged appearance. Not only does it look great, but it also has working LED headlights, turn signals, and marker lights.

One of the remarkable features of this RC car is the presence of mirrors on the fenders, complete with chrome plates on the backside. This attention to detail goes beyond what you would expect from a typical RC car. Even the doors open, revealing plenty of space in the bed, which is so deep that you can load it up with scale accessories. The tailgate also pops down, adding to its realistic functionality.

    Impressive Exterior Features

The exterior of this RC car is a true testament to the level of detail put into its design. The tail lights light up, and there are even turn signals, which some people may appreciate. The inclusion of a metal-etched Land Rover emblem adds a touch of sophistication. The soft mud flaps are also a thoughtful addition, as they will move realistically when dirt is kicked up.

The wheels and tires, although slightly larger than what you might expect, are made of soft rubber for optimal traction. The plastic front bumper completes the overall look of this RC car.

    Meticulously Designed Interior

The interior of this RC car is just as impressive as the exterior. It features a steering wheel that turns, thanks to a servo under the hood. The cloth seats and various shifter details on the dashboard add to the realism. Everything you would expect from a FMS RC car is present, and you can even further customize it by adding a driver figure.

    Sturdy Chassis

Underneath it all, this RC car has a plastic frame rail chassis that ensures stability and durability. This means you can enjoy driving it both on and off-road without worrying about its performance.

Overall, this RC car is a true work of art. The attention to detail, both on the exterior and interior, sets it apart from other RC cars on the market. Whether you’re a seasoned RC enthusiast or a beginner, this car is sure to impress with its amazing design and realistic features.

    Impressive Design and Features

There is your drivetrain, so nice looking scale axles, front and rear metal universal drive, shafts from the transmission to those axles and even looks like ball bearings and universals up front, so that’s pretty awesome.

    Shift to High or Low

This is a shifting two-speed transmission, so you have a high low. There is the shift Servo and then there’s the leaf spring suspension, and I was checking this out before and this seems pretty soft, so I’m excited to see how this little truck handles. It might handle a little bit better than some of the other FMS Vehicles.

    Surprising Details Under the Hood

We’ve seen, now let’s pop the hood and one thing I noticed about the hood, there’s a little bit of a gap, so you just got to make sure all the wires are down to get that hood as low as possible, but look at all the stuff that they stuffed in there. There’s your speed controller, your extra Servo, the battery mounts right there, and the on/off switch is back here. So, you’re really not going to touch this stuff other than taking out your battery to charge it and using the on and off switch. Oh, actually, there’s a hood prop over here as well, check that out didn’t notice that before, very nice detail.

    An Exciting Test Drive

So, of course, we need to see this drive, and I am going to go ahead and throw on the half cap. And I’ll see if I can find a nice picturesque trail to show it off.

A Fun Experience at the Park

Alright guys, so I’m out at a different Park today, I don’t really come here that often, but I thought it be a good spot for this little Adventure truck. So far, I’m having a fun time just enjoying the scale look.

The Amazing Design of the RC Car

It is truly astonishing how they have managed to make this RC car look so incredible. The attention to detail is remarkable and it is clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into its design. The creators of this car have truly outdone themselves, creating a model that looks just like a real-life car.

    A Bouncy Suspension

One small flaw that can be noticed is the bouncy suspension. When driving the car at high speeds, the suspension tends to bounce a little. However, this hardly takes away from the overall amazing appearance of the car. In fact, when I slowed down the video, the bouncing actually added to the car’s awesomeness, creating an impressive visual effect.

    The Steering Issue

One thing I couldn’t help but notice was that the car lacked a significant amount of steering. It took a little bit of adjustment to get the desired steering effect. By tweaking the dual rate, the car’s steering improved drastically. Once this adjustment was made, the car became much more enjoyable to drive, allowing for tight turns and precise maneuvers.

    Challenges and Triumphs

Driving this RC car has been a mix of challenges and triumphs. One of the challenges was trying to navigate through wet terrain. The tires got wet, making it slightly more difficult to maintain control. However, this added a level of excitement and realism to the driving experience.

Another challenge was encountered when attempting to climb a steep hill. Initially, it seemed that the car was struggling to make it up. However, after switching to low gear, the car successfully conquered the hill, showcasing its impressive climbing abilities.

    High-Speed versus Low-Speed

To fully understand the capabilities of this RC car, I decided to conduct a high-speed versus low-speed comparison. In low gear, the car moved at a slower pace, allowing for more control and precision. In high gear, the car really showed off its speed, zooming across the terrain with incredible velocity.

It should be noted that the car does not come with a driver figure. Although some may prefer using a driver figure, I personally find it more authentic to showcase the car as is. The absence of a driver figure allows the viewer to truly appreciate the intricate design and craftsmanship that went into creating this remarkable RC car.

    FMS: Masters of Scale Models

FMS has once again proven themselves to be masters of creating drivable scale models. This RC car is a testament to their dedication to perfection and their ability to produce incredibly realistic replicas. It is no wonder that FMS has gained a reputation for their exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

There’s no denying that the Land Rover Series 2 RC car is an amazing piece of engineering. Its attention to detail, design, and performance make it a standout in the world of RC cars. Whether you’re a Land Rover enthusiast or simply appreciate high-quality RC models, this is definitely one worth considering. So, get ready to embark on thrilling adventures and explore new terrains with the Land Rover Series 2 RC car.

The finish of the front of the truck is particularly impressive. It captures the essence of the Land Rover’s design perfectly. As I look at this RC car, I can’t help but marvel at how they managed to make it look so amazing. Every detail, from the paintwork to the separate windshield, contributes to its overall appeal. Whether you choose the full cover or the short cap, this RC car is sure to turn heads. So go ahead, take a closer look and appreciate the craftsmanship that went into creating this masterpiece.
