FMS Lemur 1/24 Rock Racer and Rock Crawler Unboxing

The FMS Lemur 1/24 rock racer and rock crawler has arrived for an unboxing and test run. This vehicle will be compared to the FCX 24, as well as some other rock racers, to truly understand its capabilities. Let’s delve into the details and see what it’s all about.

    First Impressions

Upon unboxing the FMS Lemur, one is instantly drawn to its striking appearance. Sporting a cage-style body and bright lights, this rock racer certainly stands out from the crowd. It shares a similar platform with the Smasher and the FCX 24, allowing for interchangeability of upgrades and motor options.

    Design and Features

The FMS Lemur boasts a two-speed portal system, providing super-fast speeds that enthusiasts will appreciate. Its metal gear portals and servo add durability to its construction. Additionally, a servo saver, similar to the Smasher, ensures smoother handling and control.

However, one area where the FMS Lemur finds itself in a challenging position is in its height. Equipped with large wheels and lock differentials, crawling becomes difficult in this configuration. Instead, it leans more towards rock bashing and smashing, with a high risk of flipping over due to the locked differentials.

Taking the FMS Lemur for a test run, the first thing to note is its impressive approach and departure angles. These design considerations facilitate tackling tricky terrains with ease. The engineering behind this rock racer is undeniably commendable.

When it comes to speed, the FMS Lemur does not disappoint. Its two-speed portal system allows for an exhilarating and fast-paced experience. This vehicle truly likes to “get up and go” as it zooms over jumps and maneuvers through obstacles.

However, its limitations in crawling become apparent during the test run. The locked differentials hinder its ability to crawl over rough surfaces, often resulting in flipping. While this may not be an issue for those seeking a rock bashing experience, it does limit its versatility as a crawler.

The FMS Lemur 1/24 rock racer and rock crawler is finally here, and I must say, it is quite an impressive little machine. As I unbox it, the first thing that catches my eye is the upgrade potential. The development advancements in this vehicle are truly remarkable. It now comes equipped with damp shocks, which adds a whole new level of coolness to this already awesome machine.

Previously, when I watched the setup video and the launch video, I noticed that the shocks were not damped. I remember thinking, “That’s not right.” But now, they have fixed that issue, and it’s a massive development for the vehicle’s advancement. However, I did notice that in its stock configuration, the shocks do seem to leak oil. This is a minor setback, but nonetheless worth mentioning.

Now, let’s move on to the size comparison. I have here the Capra, which is a fairly big rock crawler. And next to it is the RC four-wheel drive Miller Motorsports. Just looking at them, you can see that the Lemur is considerably smaller, almost like a little family member. But don’t be fooled by its size; it’s still packed with incredible details and super scale features.

Before I take it out for a test run, I must admit that I’m not expecting it to perform exceptionally well in crawling due to its high center of gravity. But thanks to its two-speed transmission, it should still be able to handle some light crawling. However, for now, I am going to take it outside and rally with it. I want to see what this little beast can do.

In the next video, I plan to modify the Lemur. The wheels that come with it are just too big, causing some limitations in its performance. By making a few adjustments, I believe I can unlock its true potential and make it even more capable. The possibilities for customization and improvement are endless.

All in all, the FMS Lemur 1/24 rock racer and rock crawler is a remarkable machine with room for upgrades. Its development advancements, particularly the addition of damp shocks, have elevated its performance significantly. Although it may have a few minor issues, its size, scale details, and potential for customization make it a worthwhile investment for any rock crawling enthusiast. Stay tuned for the next video where I showcase the modifications I make to this little powerhouse.

Unboxing the FMS Lemur 1/24 Rock Racer and Rock Crawler

Upon receiving the FMS Lemur 1/24 Rock Racer and Rock Crawler, I couldn’t help but be curious about its capabilities. Why not push the boundaries and enhance its performance? To start, let’s experiment with bead locks and weighted bead locks, and see how it truly performs.

    First Impressions

Taking a closer look at the Lemur, it’s apparent that it has great approach angles. However, in its current stock form, something feels a bit off. It seems like a mere repackaging of existing features, perhaps catering more towards being a Christmas toy for little children.

    Potential Unveiled

Nevertheless, let’s not jump to s. There is potential within this rock racer and crawler. As I delve into the modifications, the Lemur begins to reveal its hidden strengths. With the addition of bead locks and weighted bead locks, its capabilities may be unlocked, offering a more satisfying experience.

    Modifications for Enhanced Performance

To optimize the Lemur’s performance, a few modifications are in order. Firstly, let’s consider shortening the vehicle’s stance. By doing so, we can achieve a lower center of gravity, ultimately improving stability and maneuverability. This adjustment alone has the potential to make a noticeable difference in the overall performance of the rock racer and crawler.

    The Test Run

With the modifications made, it’s time to hit the terrain and put the Lemur to the test. As I navigate through rocky terrain, the weighted bead locks prove to be advantageous, providing enhanced traction and control. The rock racer and crawler effortlessly traverse obstacles, showcasing its improved capabilities.

    A Conflicted Verdict

The FMS Lemur 1/24 Rock Racer and Rock Crawler, aside from its stock form, holds great potential. With the right modifications and enhancements, this vehicle can evolve into an impressive off-road machine. However, as it currently stands, it might be more suitable for younger enthusiasts seeking a Christmas toy rather than a serious rock racing experience.

In , the FMS Lemur 1/24 rock racer and rock crawler offers an exciting and speedy adventure for those looking to indulge in rock bashing and racing. Its design and engineering are praiseworthy, with excellent approach and departure angles.

However, its limitations in crawling due to the locked differentials may deter those seeking a true crawling experience. Nevertheless, with its striking appearance and impressive speed, the FMS Lemur is sure to captivate enthusiasts who like to “move it, move it” in the world of rock racing.

In , the FMS Lemur 1/24 Rock Racer and Rock Crawler possesses hidden abilities that can be unlocked through modifications. By shortening its stance and incorporating bead locks and weighted bead locks, the vehicle’s performance can be greatly enhanced. While it may not meet all expectations in its original state, with a little customization, the Lemur has the potential to be a thrilling rock racing and crawling companion.
