The Stunning Appearance
Arma has truly outdone themselves with the design of the Arrma 4S Mojave. This beast of a truck looks absolutely stunning. The paint scheme is simply gorgeous, with a touch of sparkle in the black paint. The decals are tastefully done, adding to the overall appeal of the truck. It truly embodies the spirit of a true desert truck, perfect for some off-roading adventures.
While the exterior of the Arrma 4S Mojave is impressive, what’s really exciting is what lies beneath the surface. The truck comes with the slt3 transmitter, which may be a basic channel transmitter, but is reliable and gets the job done. It would have been great to see the dx3 transmitter, but considering the price point, the slt3 is a good choice.
Everything You Need
With the Arrma 4S Mojave, you get more than just the truck. It comes with a Mojave card, a technical pack containing disassembly instructions, a full manual, basic tools, and shock clips. It’s always a relief to see tools included, as it means you won’t have to rush to the store if you encounter any issues. The transmitter even comes with batteries, allowing you to get started right away. All you need is a car battery and a charger, and you’re good to go.
Impressive Body Reinforcements
Taking off the body of the Arrma 4S Mojave reveals an exciting new feature. The body clips are reinforced with the same type of reinforcements found on the 8S. This addition is incredibly helpful, ensuring that the body remains secure even during intense bashing sessions. The top and side of the truck are also equipped with body protectors, providing additional durability. The front bumper is solid, while the hard plastic rear bumper adds extra protection.
Secure and Sturdy
Flipping the truck over, you’ll find a full internal cage with pegs that securely match into the chassis. This internal cage adds rigidity to the entire structure, ensuring that the Arrma 4S Mojave can handle even the roughest terrains. The attention to detail in the design is truly commendable, giving the truck an added layer of strength.
The Arrma 4S Mojave is truly a beast of an RC desert truck. With its stunning appearance, exciting features, and reinforced body, it’s ready to take on any bashing adventure. Whether you’re tearing up the dunes or tackling rugged trails, this truck is built to withstand the toughest challenges. Get ready to unleash the beast and experience the thrill of off-roading with the Arrma 4S Mojave.
The Strong and Durable Body
This Arrma 4S Mojave is no ordinary RC desert truck. It boasts a remarkably strong and durable body, thanks to its integrated front and rear bumpers that match into the chassis. This design ensures that the body is fully supported across its entire length, promising a long-lasting and robust truck. However, one downside to this sturdiness is its weight, making the truck a bit heavy.
A Brawny Chassis
Moving on to the chassis, we are greeted with a sight of power and strength. The rear bumper is big and beefy, displaying an intimidating presence. Beneath it lies a wheelie bar, serving as a testament to the truck’s bashing capabilities. The standard 4S shocks guarantee a smooth and controlled ride, while the new Deb booots Fortress tires offer exceptional traction and grip.
Exciting Power Module
What truly excites me is the thicker power module of the Arrma 4S Mojave. This essential component houses a potent 4S power system, ensuring the truck’s speed and performance are second to none. The metal gear steering servo adds to the truck’s robustness, handling the demanding terrain effortlessly. Accompanying all these features is a substantial and mighty front bumper, reinforcing the truck’s overall durability.
An Enhanced and Sturdier Chassis
The beefed-up chassis of the Arrma 4S Mojave is evident in its design. With ribs incorporated in the front and rear, as well as thicker plastic all around, this truck is built to withstand the harshest of conditions. A notable addition is the slot for the spur gear, a feature previously unseen in 3S or 4S models. Its inclusion raises curiosity as to its potential impact on previous models, but only time will tell.
Similarities to the 4S Models
Removing the tire, we find that the Arrma 4S Mojave shares similarities with other 4S models in terms of its cvd (constant velocity drive) and uprights and knuckles. The familiarity of these components assures us of their reliability and quality. Additionally, the truck retains the same 4S shocks as its counterparts, ensuring consistent and impressive performance.
It is clear that the Arrma 4S Mojave is a beast in the world of RC desert trucks. Its strong and durable body, powerful 4S power system, and enhanced chassis make it a force to be reckoned with. Whether you’re looking to tear up the speedways or bash through rough terrains, this truck is ready for the challenge. Get ready to experience the thrill and excitement of RC trucking like never before!
Arrma 4S Mojave: Built to Conquer the Desert
When it comes to RC desert trucks, the Arrma 4S Mojave reigns supreme. With its metal-bodied construction and high-quality tires, this beast is ready to take on any terrain with ease.
The tires themselves provide a solid grip on the ground, thanks to their thick rubber and a fairly hard compound. You won’t have to worry about them ballooning or losing their shape during intense bashing sessions. The wheels also come reinforced from the factory, providing extra protection and durability.
But what really sets the Arrma 4S Mojave apart is its center differential. This is the first time we’ve seen this feature in the 3 and 4S models, and it’s definitely something to get excited about. With a quick look under the hood, you’ll notice the new power module held in place by a couple of extra screws. With a simple lift of a lever, you can easily slide out the power module and get a closer look at the center differential.
The differential itself is a thing of beauty. Made from diecast aluminum or zinc, it exudes strength and quality. The centered steel spur gear ensures smooth power distribution, while the big, beefy bearings on the front and back add to the overall durability. The differential is filled with what feels like a 10 million weight fluid, ensuring optimal performance.
Moving on to the motor mount plate, you’ll notice that it’s thicker compared to the 3S and 4S models. The addition of ribbing further enhances its strength, although it’s hard to say for certain if it’s stronger than its predecessors.
Inside the differential, you’ll find the same beefy style that is present in the front and rear differentials of the 3 and 4S models. This means you can expect impressive durability and power delivery, no matter the terrain you’re tackling.
The Arrma 4S Mojave is a true bashing beast, designed to handle the toughest desert conditions. With its metal-bodied construction, strong tires, and impressive center differential, it’s a force to be reckoned with. Whether you’re tearing up sand dunes or conquering rocky terrain, this RC desert truck will never disappoint.
Teardown and Analysis
Looking housing, though I dont think this housing is going to be a problem as far as stiffness and sturdiness is concerned, we got that real thick fluid in there, but no other surprises in here lets get this closed up.
One thing I just noticed is there are little rubber plugs on the back of this. That gives you access to the screws for the motor. That means you can adjust your mesh while this is together.
Getting Ready to Bash
Lets get this back in the truck got this all back together. Hey, if youre enjoying watching this video make sure you get subscribed, we do this kind of thing all the time and youre not going to want to miss it.
All we have left to do now is throw a battery in this thing. Take it out, see how it does Offroad see how well it jumps and maybe well even see how fast this thing is. Offroad come join. Music me all right lets go and do a top speed Music test. One more pass. All right lets bring it in 40. Mil hour, thats not too bad for stock, gearing Im sure we could go faster on road and with more gearing on it, lets keep bashing Music.
He Music all right guys. Well, that was a lot of fun. I got a couple packs through this thing now, and Ive got some First Impressions to give you first of all, I want to give kudos to Arma for this body the way they design.
The Reinforced Body
Manufacturers have finally understood the importance of a durable body for RC cars. No matter how beautiful the design may be, if it gets destroyed on the first outing, it’s not good. The Arrma 4S Mojave is a prime example of this understanding. This beast of a desert truck has reinforcement everywhere. It attaches to the front, rear, and center of the car for extra bracing.
Even after enduring several heavy crashes, the body still looks practically perfect. However, there is one downside to the numerous attachment points. Getting the body properly centered can be quite challenging. I experienced a crash that caused the alignment to be off, resulting in gears not meshing correctly. But a simple fix of taking the body off and putting it back on resolved the issue. Although, it must be mentioned that putting the body back on, especially when it’s dirty, is not an easy task.
Durable and Fun
Apart from the minor inconvenience with the body alignment, there is not much to complain about with the Arrma 4S Mojave. Everything held up remarkably well during our testing. It is a truly enjoyable experience, and the car proved to be super durable for general bashing purposes. The plastic chassis is holding up admirably, with just a few scrapes and scratches, which are expected.
One standout feature is the center differential. It works like a charm, providing excellent performance. The suspension is perfectly tuned, preventing the car from flipping over easily. Even when it does roll over, it tends to land back on its wheels, ready to continue the action. This adds to the overall fun and enjoyment of operating the Arrma 4S Mojave.
The Ultimate Durability Test
While the Arrma 4S Mojave has proven its robustness under general bashing conditions, the ultimate durability test is yet to come. In our next video, we will be taking this beast out on the big ramp to push its limits. This will truly determine the extent of its durability and how it handles high-speed jumps and rough landings. Stay tuned to witness the Arrma 4S Mojave in action.
