I love nitro rc cars. This one right here was pretty much what got me back into the hobby restarted my passion and kind of got me going making content on youtube. Nothing beats the nitro fumes when you just start up your nitro rc car hearing it kind of roar. In the background 10 000 rpms just flying by so i love nitro rc cars, but i mean after multiple incidents with this guy right here i had to make this video Music welcome to jacobus rc, where we buy bash and build use rc cars. Now, before i jump into my rant or the three reasons why you shouldn’t go out and buy a nitroc car, let me give you a little bit of a backstory. Now i started my journey on youtube with this guy right here. My nitro xtm accelerator it’s over 15 years old now, so i would consider this thing: pretty much vintage in the rc car world, it’s built like every other stadium truck out there from that time and pretty much from nowadays as well, so yeah just the other day. Actually, yesterday i went out to do a little little video shoot for you guys. I wanted to do a used, rc car showdown with this xtm accelerator and then my dhk hobby hunter 100 showdown nitro vs electric, but this happened starter up. Look at this full throttle. Music, so we got the nitro going at full revs. We got no movement, and this has actually happened to me before many many times.
I actually made a video on like five tips, to kind of look for in case your nitro rc revs, but it doesn’t move, and this time i did all those checks and what it came out to was, i think now the clutch is kind of broken. So i got to go back and fix that so before heading out you have to pretty much be a hundred percent sure that all these kind of moving components are in working order or your day’s, pretty much ruined so being a nitro it’s got many moving parts. It’S got multiple servos, obviously the nitro engine pull start and all the other drivetrain components that it kind of shares, with its electric counterpart and that’s pretty much. What inspired kind of this first tip a lot of moving parts means that a lot of breakage is bound to happen, so that’s pretty much what i did before heading out yesterday, i made sure every one of these moving components is working everything aside from actually turning It on inside and just smoking myself out so made sure i had good compression, you know, drive trains, kind of working. Everything is in good order, turned it on made sure the batteries were still fresh, so yeah everything aside from just turning it on itself. So that leads me to the second point, and that is the noise. If you’re in the city, you’re gon na have to freaking drive far away, find a remote area a park somewhere where you’re, not bothering anyone or else you’re gon na, have to deal with all the cairns that come out and complain about the noise so yeah.
I found this really remote location, little sandy area in the middle of a park and got all my stuff all my nitro gear. You guys know what i’m talking about all that bag that you have to carry yeah. Well, i trekked out really far away with all that stuff, so yeah that thing just not turning on and breaking down before, i even got to shoot the video is not fun, and that kind of leads me to the third point of why you shouldn’t buy a Nitro rc car is that there’s, so much stuff that you have to carry. I mentioned you got ta, carry a bag with you full of all these items, just to hope that you can get that thing running and running for a long time. You know if you have a long bash session. You’Re gon na have to bring these things. Of course, you’re gon na need your nitro rc car and you’re gon na need to make sure that all the batteries are topped up in the remote and the humpback battery. Obviously, you’re gon na need your radio control and make sure it’s got full batteries for long batch sessions you’re to need one of these things to kind of top up. Now, how are you going to put all that fuel from the tank into your car? Well, you’re. Going to need a fuel bottle, don’t forget your glow igniter, because you won’t be able to start your car without this, oh and by the way, if you got one of these cheap chargers, it’s going to take you about, you know five six hours to even have Enough juice for a long session and with nitro, you never know if you might need to do some on the field on the fly tuning out there.
So you want to make sure you bring your drivers. I don’t know how many you guys want to bring, but i typically just bring this entire tool box now i don’t know about you guys in your situation, but from where i parked to where i went. You know it takes about five minutes to kind of get to my location and with all these kind of items man, it gets really heavy. After a while and it’s, especially disappointing that when you get there, your car doesn’t even work, so there you guys have it. Those are the three reasons why you shouldn’t go out right now and buy a nitro rc car. As for that guy right there, the one that started it all the one that started this channel, i think i’m gon na sell it. Finally, you know it’s an old car it’s breaking down a lot, maybe i’ll step up to one of the newer nitro rc cars, and maybe my opinion will change, but for now thank you for watching make sure to like comment and subscribe and i’ll catch. You guys.
