Thank you for being here and watching this. As you can see, i have here a new box from apsima and in this box is the brand new scale crawler 3.4 camber. As you can see, the truck is available in 4 different colors. I have here the grey version and the truck is equipped with portal axles with a two speed transmission and with lockable differentials. Music, as first here is a sticker sheet. Some stickers are already applied like the window frames, and so, but there are also some decals who can apply it as your personal choice and an instruction manual and a few tools are also included, and here in this pack is also a small toyota scale and bleem. I like this, it will improve the scale, look a lot, and here we can have the first look on the truck Music and this box is the transmitter Music it’s, a 2.4 gigahertz pistol transmitter it’s the same as we know from the sherpa and the other ready To round trucks – and this is the spare tire Music, the truck holds from underneath with two zip ties – Music. This is always a nice moment to remove the protective film Music, and here it is. The body is made in polycarbonate, but i’m really surprised to see the sidewinkers are made in clear orange hard plastic. Also, the front grill is made in hard plastic and comes in silver and black and chrome plated light buckets the front.
Bumper and fenders are black painted and have a nice matte finish, Music. Also, the rear lights are made in hard plastic, and here you can see the spare tire holder i’m, really impressed by the quality of this body. It’S, a three color paint job with matte highlights and amazing scaly tales like the roof, rack and side mirrors door handles and the good looking side steps or rock sliders Music. Also, no body posts are visible and no longer ugly magnet holders. As on the sherpa to remove the body, there is a screw to remove from underneath it’s a knurled screw, so no tools are required: Music, it’s the same at the rear Music. Now we can remove the body. As you can see, there are still magnets in front and at the rear, but it’s additionally secured by the screw. So no more flipping of bodies in case of a rollover, and here on the inside. You can see the very well installed led lights in front and at the rear, and as you can see, the wiring is also very well done. The chassis is basically the same as on the epsima sherpa Music, but here you can see an additional body pose to support the body and make it more stable. Also in front is this additional body post Music? This servo is to switch the gears of the two speed transmission and these two servos are for the deflocking function, a550 brushed motor is installed and the esc is a 1060 from hobbywing.
The esc can be programmed via these two jumpers to get a direct break. I remove the rear one, so the esc works in crawler mode and i move the front one to the left to activate the lipo mode in this box. Is the receiver and so good protected, and also a slipper clutch is installed from underneath you can see the steering servo sits on the front axle and the truck is equipped with a falling suspension in front and at the rear Music. The links and drive shafts are made in metal, and here the portal axles are well visible. Now i take off the wheel to show you one more improvement. I was really surprised, as i saw these dampers now. The spring is on the outside and so better changeable and the spring preload can be adjusted with the screw on the top. These timbers are filled with oil work, soft and smooth and are a big improvement compared to the shear pump. The wheels are bead locks made in plastic and the tires are soft and sticky now i’m going to install the spare tire for this. I use this tool set from apsima various allen. Wrenches, not drivers and phillips. Screwdrivers are included and all in an attractive case, and it looks better and better now, i’m going to install the small emblem on the front grille a small screw is included so that it can be screwed on from the inside. I, like this small detail with a great effect Music, but now let’s turn on this machine.
First, i insert four aaa batteries to the transmitter Music. The blue light indicates it’s turned on this switch is to turn on the lights. This one is for the gear shift, and these two buttons here are to lock the divs Music here under this cover are some trim buttons and end point adjusters overall, a good 6 channel radio. Now i install the battery, i use this 2 cell lipo from epsima with 7 100 milliamp capacity. It fits perfect and with this 7100 milliamps it will be get very long run times. The on off switch is also on a very clever position here. It can be reached also with installed body and the steering works. Now i check the two speed gear shift. I press the button and the truck goes to second gear press again, and it goes back to first gear. This function works very well. I know it from the sharepoint and there i never got any problems with this next, a diff locker as you can see, the divs are open. Now now i press these buttons and the divs are locked press again and the diff is open. Also, this works perfect same as on the sherpa. Now let’s see the lights, the lightning system have wankers. As you can see, it needs a quite big angle on the wheels till the winkers are active, so no permanent working, winkers Music. With this switch, i can turn on the lights on first position.
They flashes and on second position. They are continuously on at the rear, are also winkers, but no permanent rear lights here are only brake lights, but brake lights does not work properly with the esc. In crawler mode they work poor when driving reverse. So i have to change something i need to get the rear lights permanently on like the front lights here. The connection number five is for the brake lights and number six is for the front lights, so i have to connect the cable number five on the same line as the headlights number six. For this i have created a small v cable, and so i can connect cable, number, 5 and 6 together to the headlight cable. And now, when i turn on the lights, the backlights are also continuously unlike the front lights, that’s, exactly how i wanted it. So i have to say, i’m really positively surprised about this scale. Crawler it’s, not only a sherpa with a different body. It have some really nice improvements and the body is so well designed and painted with a lot of details. Soon i will do a running video. So stay tuned to see it subscribe to my channel, you haven’t already, and please give me a thumbs up for this video.
