Now this is the upsima mini racer, and i see this featured on tomlyrc’s channel recently and when i see that video i thought to myself. That would be ideal for young kids, which is why i’m going to give this to my three year old today, we’re going to see what he makes of it and then we’re going to take it out for a test run so let’s get straight into it. Music Applause, Music, welcome back to the channel and today we’re going to be taking a look at the ipsema mini racer. Now this thing looks great it’s very, very cheap, and i think this is going to be an excellent way to get young kids into the rc hobby, which is why i’m going to give this to my three year old today, we’ll see what he makes of it. We’Ll also see how it performs, but before we do that, let’s get it unboxed and find out what we get right. So let’s take a look at what we get in the box. So we get a black and white manual. We get a screwdriver, a usb charger. We get some of these little rubber things which are used to keep the body on and we get a tiny little transmitter here and i do believe the throttle is proportional, but the steering is non proportional, as you can hear, this doesn’t have fully proportional steering, but This is a really really cheap, little rc and that isn’t something i’m surprised about.
What is quite nice, though, is you can adjust your speed settings? You do have a low setting and a high setting. Now it does say in the manual that the included usb charger will charge the inbuilt battery on the car in about 30 minutes, and that should give you about 12 to 15 minutes of runtime Music, and here it is then now this thing is tiny. It is 132 scale and, as you can see, it is really really small now just to give you an idea as to how small this thing actually is. Here is the sg 1603, and that is a 1 16th scale truck. Look how tiny this little websema mini! Racer is compared to the sg 1603, and here it is compared to my armor vortex, which is a one temp scale truck. This thing is really really small right. So let’s talk about some of the features that this little buggy comes with. Now we’ve got led lights on the front, as you can see, and i always like to see led lights on these cheap rc’s, because i think it’s quite attractive to most people and it’s. Just another really good selling point we’ve got rubber tyres and they are quite a firm rubber suspension wires. I don’t think there’s a huge amount going on we’ve got very limited movement in the suspension there. I don’t believe we’ve got anything at the front, but it does appear. It does appear to be a spring in the back i’m.
Not quite sure. Why, though, because it doesn’t really do a lot, maybe with the body off you do get a bit of movement, but then that’s a little bit pointless, because most people are going to be running with the body on is quite rigid. There isn’t a lot of movement in the suspension now this is rear. Wheel, drive also when it comes to the electronics everything’s built into the car itself. So you can’t replace the battery and you do have to plug the little usb lead in there to get this thing charged up and, like i said about 30 minutes, and that should give you, you know, sort of 12 to 15 minutes of run time, at least That is what they state in the manual now when it comes to speed obscene mistake, this will do about 25 kilometers per hour now i can’t see this thing doing that sort of speed and when i watched tom lee rc’s video he actually managed to achieve about 16 kilometers per hour, which is still not a bad speed, considering just how small this little model is so i’ve just finished charging this. It took about 30 minutes, as it said in the manual we’re, to go and get my boy sam we’re, going to see what he makes of it and then we’re going to take it out for a little test run sam. What do you think of this that’s? For you yeah, do you want to test it out, yay coming in let’s, get ready and we’ll test it out.
Yeah. Do you like it yeah? Are you ready to test out your new car sam yeah, you excited yeah. Is it your favorite color? What color is it blue, yeah, clever boy coming in right, so sam’s going to give this a little test now, on the on the controller you do have two modes: you’ve got a low speed and a high speed we’re going to start off on low and we’re Going to see how it performs that would help if, if i switched it on wouldn’t it here, we go see how that is. Do you know how to steer it? Music, clever boy, do you like that? Oh no, oh he’s, chasing you he’s chasing you! No right should we make it go faster, sam right, so what we’ll do is we’ll flick this up too high? How are you finding it? Is it good yeah? Do you want to try it on high speed? Is it not working? Is it better now it’s, faster nice just doing doughnuts, oh crashed! Oh no! You’Ve crashed it. Is it your favorite car out of all the cars i’ve i’ve done on the channel? Is it your favorite one it’s, because it’s your favorite color that’s? Why, oh? No, i think he’s running out of battery we’ll have to charge it up. So sam had a lot of fun with this little buggy. I think, if you’re looking for a really cheap little rc just to get the kids into the hobby, this could potentially be a really good option.
I mean it, you know it. Hasn’T got proportional steering it’s, not the fastest thing in the world, but it’s a great little way to get a young kid into the hobby. I think it’s a really good option now, if you haven’t already be sure to hit the subscribe button to stay up to date with all the latest rc content. So what do you think then? Sam? Is this your new favorite? Yes, yay? Should people buy one of these for other babies? Other kids, you think this is a good car for them. Okay, as long as as long as we’ve got your approval, that’s, the main thing you’re going to say bye to everyone, so guys we’re going to leave the video there today. I really hope you enjoyed seeing this little thing in action and i’ll see you again soon on the next one.
