Hello I have to make a correction on the dimension of the prop it's a 1910 I don't know where I got that number from and yes the Turnigy prop has some issues I agree this particular one I have to re-center the hole in the hub I could not balance it that prop was only use for the maiden flight that airplane is a HobbyKing experiment I decided to take on and the experiment is this everything on the airplane was bought at HobbyKing the total cost of everything was just around 600 bucks I priced everything name brands and the total cost would have been upwards of 1500 bucks on another note the plane is heavier than it should be because I'm using heavier batteries cuz I just have them but will continue trying to tweak it and will keep you guys posted
eCalc says at a weight of 11 Lbs, a Xoar 20×12 PJN would give a thrust-to-weight of 1.88:1, 212 watts/lb, a level flight speed of 71 Mph, and a flight time of 10.1 Minutter. A Xoar 20×13 PJN would give a thrust-to-weight of 2.00:1, 224 watts/lb, a level flight speed of 74 Mph, and a flight time of 10.0 Minutter. On an aerobatic/3D plane, I would never use a prop that had a D:P ratio of less than 1.5:1 because the blades would be stalled at zero airspeed, such as in a hover. A 20×14 has a D:P of about 1.428:1, so it is out..
Stalling a plane on a maiden is must for me. The only way to know the line is to cross it. Crossing the line is not for the faint hearted since it could be a point of no return (possibly a fatal mistake.)
Every Sbach I’ve ever flown or seen tends to pitch up as it gets slower. I have a 70” EF Extra 300EXP with a Hacker motor that I fly on two 5000mAH-4S batteries in series with a 17×10 prop. I can rotate to vertical as soon as I leave the ground and go straight up out of sight. I also have one of these in the box. I want just a little more throw than it takes for knife edge..
I have had bad luck with Turnigy wooden props. The worst balanced props i've ever tried. They are also the heaviest wooden props for their size (that i've tried.)
