G-Speed Lav CG Crawler Ultimate bygge – Testkørsel
Okay. Here it is it’s finally done it is a g speed vehicle with a lot of team garage, hack and goodies, and the very first thing i’ll show you is the body mount it’s, so cool randy from randy built? Did it you know it’s, always a problem? How are you going to mount these things and how you’re going to access your stuff, but what he did was a swivel mount from the front super cool huh. So the body posts are here just go like that kind of look for those holes and then put a body clip or two if you want to, and so there it is, and what do we have here? We have the g speed. Uh v3 chassis i’ll show you the the the power of this vehicle it’s running three cell homes, hobbies stubby motor and a homes hobby servo. So i showed you that just so i could turn it off because it does beep castle racing micro x. So a lot of people told me to go 4s but i’m, not right. Nwo, Jeg er, a 3s and i don’t know if i’m going to need any more. So we have the flysky gt5 pretty basic build and we have. We will have a complete parts list on the on the description vanquish wheels right now. I just have pretty normal tires: proline hyrax, predator predator front and g8 rear and i think i’m, using the the proline dual stage: foams.
We have a very special axial ar 44 the the portal axles. From actual we tried, a lot of my friends tried the capper axles, but they’re too wide traxxas axles, not quite there. They don’t have that steering angle and if i don’t, like it i’m, going to go straight straight axles from from actual, but you know i’m going to show you a video, so hang on there by the way i’m going to show you a video of how it Performs we have traxxas big bore shocks with low c minity springs the uh. Det har, Jeg tror, the mild overdrive in the gearbox right here tgh and then a lot of new little bits. Hardcore racing, titanium links, high clearance, and you know the new panhard mount aluminum. I believe that’s my g speed right now. I just have a big battery on it because i have the wrong connector, but the battery you want is this it’s, A 3 cell 850 milliamp hour tattoo, så stærk, so it’s a little bit of a puzzle. You know finding which driveshafts will connect. Incision drive shafts here some other driveshaft here, but once you get it going it uh, it takes care of itself, so we’re gon na do is. We are gon na, run it and show you all the running video it’s. My first run, but oh, Min gud, cheater cheater rig. So this is the body i’m gon na use painted by patina guy. The only problem is i’m gon na have to cut it up.
Deep, like these fenders are gone so, but at least they won’t have holes. All in the name of science right so so there you go, enjoy the running video and if you have a low cg vehicle time in the comments, tell me what you think so here we go. We’Re gon na go through some running video in our test track. At linda vista park – and we start out with not the usual stuff, we just start out with a very difficult side. Hill there’s four lines here: we’re just gon na cross them all with a side hill and note that it’s a pretty severe side hill and all those rocks are very slippery. Some of them are pointed so they upset the vehicle, and this is not a crazy tire. You know this is not the theme hot 6 with halo foams. This is just hyrax good climber, but not not necessarily the best for side healing, since all the knobs are pointed horizontally and right there we transition to this climb. So we did this climb about 10 Gange, and the batting average was 10 ud af 10, even driving like a hoonigan slow fast, whatever it was. Fine, the the car is pretty front heavy but it’s it works well. So here it is on the on the side. Hill, this is our extreme side hill test, and something to note here is look at that ground clearance. The ground clearance is crazy because it has portal axles and, Jeg tror, 90 millimeter shocks, so it’s got a lot of travel and these are not necessarily the best formula for side healing.
But right here, going away from us is actually the harder one. You could see that right front tire, just under a lot of stress but it’s very composed. The gearing on this is not super low. Our opinion did not fit. We are gon na have to buy another opinion, so it’s pretty fast. Jeg ved, but it’s still plenty of modulation. I think if we go lower opinion, it’ll go even slower and most important it’ll be able to have more torque, get over obstacles with the ease so right here, that’s the test right. There boom it’s slipping, but it’s pivoting controlling itself, so it’s able to transition and exit out of it and here’s we’re gon na do something really cool is we’re gon na do a three point turn at the hardest. Part i’ve never done that before, and it had no problem great steering angle on this vehicle, very quick servo and right there boom. It does that cycle again. Okay, here something unusual it’s, just gon na climb up this wall bump. Normally we hit that notch on the right side, but this vehicle is too good for that it’s just going to go up the wall right there, something really cool we’re, not doing this perfect, but we’re able to apply power and it’s not flipping over backwards. So what that means is it’s got great execution of power and it’s got great support from the rear shocks they. They they get. They stiffen up to support the vehicle right there, a little bit of dirt don’t discriminate, sharp rocks, dirt clearance are all tested here.
So very very flat underbelly high clearance right here, we’re stuck for a while, but it doesn’t – you know you could you could you could just figure it out all day, it’s gon na something’s gon na happen and with this kind of power that’s controlled. You know you could get some make something dynamic happen to give it a shot at the title, and here it’s just a crazy little obstacle. You can’t go on the right, so we’re gon na have to go on the left here. Climb this stuff and here’s, where the big tires 4.75 inch tires help, because these rocks are just gnarly. Look at that some articulation and the rocks are able to the tires. Are able to grab those rocks with crazy approach angles and right here, it’s grabbing that left front and articulation make sure it’s not unsettled, so it’s very relaxed, very calm and right there look at that pivot. That was gnarly because it made it look easy everything it did on this day. First run may look easy, and this is a crazy one, because it’s just a rock with a big bump there and when you cannot get out of it. What you have to do is you have to make a u turn and make it up the high point of that rock okay. So everything is involved, articulation side, hill composure right there as it drops in that hole, and you also need some steering angle to make that right turn so right there.
It sits that servo is strong enough, that it’s not bothered and right. There is a key move as it tries to go up. Oh i need another turn tries to go up. The left rear supports it. The reverse is kind of jerky, but we’re still able to control it and right there. It just goes up that rock. So this make it made, it looks easy, but it’s uh it’s, something very few of our vehicles can do here. We go a little bit of rallying see that holmes, Hobby, stubby motor, so much modulation, so much power, and this thing can just turn on a dime low cg means he can execute. These sharp turns and finally we’re going to show you we didn’t, we don’t have this footage, but we want to show you the photo. This is the ultimate challenge on and linda vista park, that vertical wall, almost where my vehicle is, has a rock right. On top a slippery big rock slab that just eats up your belly, we know people who’ve tried to do this obstacle for 10 years and are just finally succeeding on it. This vehicle, on its first attempt, did it and how it did it it’s. Just by sitting right, there left turn right turn and on the right turn. It finally had a grab on that we’re gon na close with just a little race, because we like to have fun red cat. What car you have the defender defender g speed, so belly, dragger versus an rtr versus a trailer car sounds like a good, even match.
