It was because i tried to fly inside the house and that’s not enough space, so i ended up making a mini rc plane with a brushed motor. So i decided to get myself one of these models, which is supposed to be exactly what i was trying to build myself, and this comes with everything i need so here it is let’s. Take a look inside my version. Have all the electronics we’re going to need this motor i’ve tried this motor before and i’m, not sure it is the best option but we’ll see now – and here is the plane, it’s very, very lightweight so that’s – why we have these reinforcements here? These are carbon, fiber strips and sticks and stuff, and this is to reinforce the structure because it’s really flimsy lightweight so we’ll see in a second how it goes, and here are the instructions as well so let’s put everything together and see how it goes Music, so I’M gon na be following the instructions here, and it tells us to glue the spars glue. Those pieces here and these pieces are the carbon fiber strips that are included, but attach it like this, and it should just fit right in without any trouble. And you have to apply glue now, because we are working with foam. I recommend getting a glue, especially for foam and i’m, going to be using this uhu pore, which is great for foam. Don’T worry. If you don’t have uh you pour.
You can use any glue as long as it doesn’t eat. The foam like the ca glue will eat the foam and many others will also eat the foam. So try something like bbc or wood glue, which is going to take a little bit to dry out but it’s, going to work. The whole process of putting everything together will take you about three to five hours, depending on what glue you’re using and how experienced you are with building things. You have to be careful with many things when gluing everything together, especially the alignment of the fuselage and the wings. Everything have to be very well aligned, otherwise it will fly bad, so take your time when doing this just make sure everything is square. Selvfølgelig, this can move a little bit and it’s flexible, but make sure it’s 90 degrees everywhere. And while we wait for this to hotend i’m going to take a look at the electronics here, we have the motor servos propeller and the esc i’m going to take a look at the esc. Første, and by the way i have here, the receiver i’m going to be using. This is my receiver, and this receiver should be complete compatible with the all the connectors from our servos and the esc, and it is not compatible. So i’ll have to make some modifications. So i have soldered all the connectors to the servos and the esc. So now we have the normal jst connectors for each servo and for the esc as well.
These wires are a little bit thicker and heavier, but that’s not going to be a problem it’s. Just a few grams, Måske 2 Gram, eller noget i den retning, and i also decided to use a different motor because, as expected, this motor is had a little bit of trouble getting rotation. This motor is one that i have for a long time now and i have used it in a small wing but that’s it, and this one behaves a little bit better. I think the problem is the esc, Jeg er, Ikke sikker, but the motor starts a little bit better than the other one so i’m going to use this one i’m going to use a 2s battery, which is two single cell batteries connected in series with this connector. I had a proper 2s battery for this purpose, but it just got old and it’s, not working anymore. So this is what i have. I found the control surfaces to be a bit stiff, so with a knife, i just cut a little bit the hinges, making it a bit soft for the servos to move them without any problem. Music you’ll also see some small parts that you have to treat with care because they are very small and they are easy to lose around. The final thing is: placing the post rods. Music then set up the radio and test the control surfaces, and we are done. The motors still have a little bit of trouble to get started, but it’s a little bit better than the other one Music and here’s the final result and we’re ready for the maiden flight Music.
If you use the maximum throw in the control surfaces, especially the ailerons it’s, going to be very sensitive, so i recommend using a dual rate, setting in your radio to have a low rate and a high rate for more control and depending on what you want to Do but, som du kan se, it’s really cool, i can do a lot of maneuvers. I just need to get used to it and i was lucky that the day was okay for flying and it wasn’t windy at all Music. I would recommend getting the electronic components separately. I’Ll leave the links in the description below, because i still feel that the motor can be a little bit bigger and more powerful, and that way you choose your receiver and servos with compatible connectors and everything will be fine. In conclusion, i really like the plane, det er, really maneuverable. You need a bit of experience to fly it because it can do a lot of maneuvers, so it’s not recommended for beginners you’ll have a hard time trying to fly this thing. If you don’t have any experience before with any other rc airplane, som jeg sagde, i recommend getting the electronics separately, but if you don’t know what electronic components buy for this plane, you can get them from the description of this video and, if you’re still not sure, Then just buy the ones that comes with the plane. The plane is a little bit delicate, so you want to avoid crushing it a lot because the phone starts to crack and break so just be careful, but in general, if you like, 3d flying this, one is for you.
