Anmeld: UDI U816 RC Quadcopter Flying UFO. Full 360 Spins via Remote Control
As you see there, it’s got the quad rotors can be flown. Naturligvis, outdoors and indoors it can do spins. You can go clockwise counter clockwise, you can go left right and, Selvfølgelig, up and down. It has pretty good stability because that gyro stability built in but it’s got another feature which we think is fantastic, and that is the ability to do a full 360 flip in the air we’re going to show it to you here as we take it up in The sky there was one there’s another and we’ve got another we’re gon na show them to in slow motion. But what we’ve done here is put together a compilation of us flying this mini UFO around, so you can have a closer look at it. Let’S take a look at the mini UFO in action all right. We will get back to the action in a minute, but we want to go over exactly what you’re getting here now. This is the UDI u8 16 from a company called UDI. This is not something you pick up like a Target or Walmart we got ours, you can get it from a website. Our sea fever, comm will have a link to that. In the comments comes from Hong Kong, we’re gon na be honest. The instruction manual is pretty bad, very broken English, but if you know about RCS, you should be able to figure it out how to trim and all that is pretty standard.
Now let’s look at the helicopter itself and what you’ve got, of course is you’ve got the quadrotor. It doesn’t look very sturdy, but it is we’ve crashed it. A lot have not broken it. We lost a rotor or two, but does come with a replacement one. So that’s great let’s flip it over on the bottom again. Doesn’T look like much, but this thing works. You put a battery in here, actually comes with two batteries: interesting thing: der er, no onoff switch on the UFO itself, you just plug it in or unplug it, but let’s show you how the batteries and the battery charger works so here’s the charger you get, and this Actually plugs into a USB jack, so you can charge it up using a computer, what’s cool here we have them hanging off. It actually comes with two batteries, which is really nice. You can charge two at the same time, which is great because you only get about seven minutes of flight I’m out of a battery, and it takes about 50 Til 60 minutes to charge these both up. But so at least you do get two. So it takes about an hour and then combined you’ll have about 14 minutes of fly time, so it is nice that they do give you two batteries with it at least all right, we’re gon na show you a quick little test here and that’s. Why we have the noise of the UFO going out? People have asked: what is that six axis gyro mean and what is the gyro stability? What it means is, if you try to turn this upside down, it’s going to write itself and we’re gon na just try to illustrate this by letting you hear it.
Listen to the difference in the sound. When I try to tip this there, you go and it was really hard to turn it. When I go to try to turn it, it work works very hard to try to stable itself and turn itself back over again I’m, not touching art the remote on this. That is just the job of stability, trying to straighten it out so that’s a really neat feature of this UFO: okay and here’s. The remote control that comes with we’d, like this a lot 2.4 gigahertz remote and what you notice right away is the LCD screen on it. Don’T see that in a lot of the less expensive RC toys, this one has it so that’s fun a great read out there again. This does not have a spring loaded control, so we like that you can set your throttle your altitude and just leave it there and you’ve got the trim. Selvfølgelig. Trim is important these, but you do get an indicator. You hear those beeps, you know which way you’re going so that’s a nice touch with it and then the 360 button. You press this button here and that’s gon na make your helicopter do those flips, which we showed a more shows Samora and actually two modes mode. 1 and mode 2 mode 2 is a faster speed, more advanced, we’re, doing almost everything in mode 1, but so it’s, a really nice remote control. But enough of this let’s get back and see that UFO in action all right there.
You have a quick look at the UDI 4 channel mini RC UFO it’s a quadcopter, our final thoughts we’d liked it. There are some issues with it. Sometimes the remote wouldn’t sync up that caused some problems, but we always got it to work. The instruction manual, not great English, isn’t great in it, but again we’re able to figure it out. Samlede, Selvom, a lot of fun and for only about 40 bucks that they can do flips and that it has a gyro stability, six asset XS, a gyro, all pretty impressive.

mi dron no se mantiene horizontal rapido se gira y no vuela, porque?Gracias
how do you unplug the battery from the copter
mine wont bind at all grrrrrrrrrrrr
amigos quiero el menual online pera traducirlo español ! :S
Very dunny
can it lift a go-pro?
Do you know of a forum or site wit repair hints on this thing? One corner won't lift off.
Not something you can pick up at a Wal-Mart or Target? HAH! Not meaning to annoyingly contradict you dad, but I picked mine's up at where? Of all places and (ironically) at a grocery store (A 24 hour Schucks supermarket) that was for sale along with other toy "eggbeaters" in my Midwestern city. Anyhow does it take a while to train oneself to fly them lil buggers with aplomb? I'm having the darndest time just to make it hover without it whizzing off way over the goddamn Great Wall of China!
Thanks for watching. It definitely goes high, but I am not sure the exact height. The limiting factor is the remote, you would probably lose the signal at much higher than 100 Fødder, but we did not test this.
What is the maximum Height ?? Can you fly it so high that it becomes a small dot way up in the sky ? Tak
Not sure, just something to check. sometimes the propellers are right and left handed. do you have the correct blade on there?
do you have anny big trimms? like much back or somthing?
Install the battery and plug it up, then sit it on a level surface and turn on the controller. Do this very quickly or it won't calibrate.
If you push the prop down to far it will impede the motor and do what you describe. I burnt a motor up because i crashed hard on the concrete floor of my shop and jammed the prop down on to the motor. I have a new one, just haven't put it on yet, tiny little wires are hard to solder and strip. If you ever have to strip one use a bic lighter or a match and heat the insulation for a second and just pull the insulation off with your fingers (ouch) or use a glove or towel.
so i have, thank you for helping me!
I bought a second U816. The other model, which have a black protector of the propellers.
Very good to training, but now i know that i am not a "terrible" pilot, The first quad change the stability after take off. I set the trimer on remote but after time it run to front alone, and i try back but the force is slow, so i change trimer again to balance but without changes it unbalanced again. Selvfølgelig, many crashes happen with this crazy behavior.
Have a solution?
Take caution with a little screwdriver, put under the center of propeller, support the other side and push slow to up, out the axis of rotor. Not use very pressure to not damage the rotor.
Caution to put the correct propeller on correct axis of rotor, see the photos and manual.
you may have installed the prop in the wrong direction.
maybe the motor is damaged or the board
Get a v939 or v202, much better than this quad.
im having the same problem, did you find a way to fix it??
Hej, thanks for watching. When we had to replace a blade, we just pulled it off. I don't want to tell you anything wrong, or have you break your U816 – but we just pulled with some force and the blade came off. Hope this helps.
Nej, unfortunately not. I have the same question as you do. I am afraid if I pull to hard that it will break. One of the blaids has a human hair in it.
Do you got any response? know already how to replace them?
Hej! I have a problem; i dont know how to replace a blade, it seems to me stucked. Should I just pull or it has some trick to take the prop out?
Beklager, not sure what you can do. Sounds like the Gyro stability board may be damaged.
hi please could you help, a friend was flying it and hit a cupboard and a prop broke, in doing so when i took it off the kept accelerating and then stopped. now when i pushed on the prop on and started to fly its just flips and pulls really bad to one side….totally not flyable. Eventuelle forslag? Tak
I'm having the same problem that a couple other posters have had. Worked good for a day. Now it just wants to flip over. Holding it in my hand with the throttle up, it clearly thinks that level is somewhere on its side. Any idea how to fix?
can you tell me please whats going on with my ufo, when its on the ground and you raise the lever up, so the ufo flies, a rotor doesnt start as the others and it flips in the ground instead of flying?
Got mine no instructions to trim can't work it out just yet
Good review! force tilting a quadcopter put a heavy load on motors not encountered with weight of the aircraft so motors can be damaged.
I am glad i made the purchase and it was done before i even seen the review, it is everything i expect of it and i bought one at a steal of a price on newegg. 34.99 with free 2 day shoprunner shipping. If anyone catches this post of mine and wants in on one go to newegg because todays the last day of the sale 1/5/13. I am in no way affiliated with neweggs sale, i am just happy to say that i finally got one at a very affordable price. I have been waiting along time to actually buy one!.CAN'T WAIT
He hello, I got a simple question: How can I replace the propeller?
A fantastic machine.I have quite a lot of helicopters , but this more fun in lots of ways.
Hej
I have bought a start runner quad copter (wich is very simular to your ufo) and i have a problem when i try to take off it hangs backwards.
Do you have any idea what is wrong with it?
Thanks a lot
to small
i am not the vid poster but the one i own gets about 30-40 yards or so, but if u lose it the remote has a signal strengh to the quad indicator thats helped me find it more than once.
i love these quads, i have a few tips for them, 1, the walkera ladybird blades are WAY better for this quad they dont fly off and are alot more robust. 2, if u damage a motor shaft, the square tube twists just wipe some superglue along its length it will go back to perfect. 3, when you mount the battery put the battery lead and the quads lead diagonaly across the bottom of the battery mount, it makes it alot more stable as less weight is on one side. walkera ladybird parts fit too. 😛
That is a cool ufo
and at helipal you get it for 37 so if you wanter to
How far is the range?
Please answer only to this question
How long does it need to charge?
And how long does it fly?
Please answer
Alot of these need a HUGE amount of sky to do flips, but not the WL V202 Scorpion, you can flip it only a few feet off the ground without needing a huge amount of sky.
If it was a 6axis like RC Fevers WL V202 Scorpion it would be more stable to fly. I'm glad I found your site because 99 percent of these RC online sites want way to much money, I'm glad RC Fever is cheap, the Scorp is on sale for 59 I'm going to have my gf get me one for Xmas.
You can check TechMoan channel he has a lot of reviews on small mini cams you could velcro or tape to the bottom of this and probably would work fine. Some are as small as the end of a pen, others size of a key remote. There are some mini cams without cases you could tape to the bottom.
I'd recommend you get the WL V202 Scorpion from RC Fever, it has 6 axis gyro which helps fly better then most 3 axis. It doesnt have two modes like Beginner/Advanced. But should be stable enough. It's on sale for 59.99 that's as much as you'd spend just for the 2.4ghz radio that comes with it.
Guys RC Fever has great prices, and I've been checking prices over a year on these quadcopters. I should have got one of these instead of my Double Horse 9053 that has a garbage 27Mhz radio which loses signal and to many mods to make it stable to fly off the ground. It still flies backwards to much and should go in the trash. The WL V202 Scorpion is 6axis for 59.99! One flight mode so if your a beginner maybe hard? But the 6axis helps stabilize better. Its smaller then the UDI816 by a little.
Looks like the 89 one is the same as the 49 one so be careful. One guy wants double the price. The Parot Drone looking model is nothing more then the UDI 816 with a bumper around the frame so its called a UDI 816A.
You can get small HD camcorders that use microSD cards, there the size of a remote on a keyring, others are small like the end of a ballpoint pen. Strap one under this quad and you've got a cheap way to record while you're flying at the local park. Over the top of those hot chicks walking by haha.
