ZD Racing DBX-10 Brushless Desert Truck Overview

I dag, you can see in front of me here. I have a new offering from zd racing. Dette er en 1 10 scale desert buggy. This is brushless as well: it’s called the rocket dbx10 now it looks very similar to a more expensive uh brand of rc product they’ve gone with the styling traits of the low c laser nut, but this comes in at a fraction of the price so uh. This is a ready run kit, guys uh it’s, all ready to go. All you have to do is supply your own aaa batteries for the remote as a 1 10 Skala. Now the one on the box here is actually the one that i’ve got it’s a brushless version with the green paint job, and this one comes with a spoiler okay. You can also get it in red just here as well in brushless as well with a spare titan there’s, even another version with a wheelie bar, which i’ll just show you here. The brushless versions have three different models. Som jeg sagde, just then you’ve got the spare tyre edition. We have one with a wheelie bar and the spoiler okay, both in green and red, and you also got the brushed version, guys that is in orange and red. They don’t have a green brush version so anyway, guys let’s get in the box and see what we can quickly run down through what’s in the box. We’Ve got a user manual here guys we’ll have everything you need to know i’m, not going to bother taking now, but it’s got the part.

Numbers exploded, diagram, so forth, 3m uh, sticky tape. There we’ve got looks like a bunch of linkages here: Okay, so that’s a lot of spare parts just there. We have some zip ties in there as well: okay and nothing much else, b3 charger here. These are pretty decent chargers for a ready to run kit. This does have an adapter that looks like the us adapter. They even threw in the actual tire wrench there to put on the wheels and we’ve got the little uh balance charger here. It does 2s and 3s batteries, so if you don’t have a hobby grade charger already, these do actually charge rather well little instruction guide in there quick start guide and the actual power cord as with uh, most uh zd racing uh products now, especially brushless ones. We get this uh dumbo, rc style controller. This is a really nice controller guys it takes four double a batteries on the bottom. Um has a phenomenal range of around 500 Meter. Guys you’ve got some extra channels here, channel three uh that’s, probably for some lights. You can use that for anything. Basically in the three stage switch up the top and you’ve got your um dual rates and trimmers in there and reverse switches: okay og øh. Really nice remote. This one guys most of you guys, would be familiar with the dumbo rc controllers and transmitters and uh probably already own a couple already, and these are awesome – guys fully proportional, Selvfølgelig, really good remote.

It also comes with a quick start guide as well. Okay, now uh we’ve got a spoiler here. Like i told you, this one comes with a spoiler uh. If you’ve got the wheelie bar version, it’ll probably come in in a bag like this or the uh tyre extra tire version, but we have to install that ourselves. We’Ve got a couple of bags of the wheels here that we have to put on here is i’ve taken one out of the box or the bag rather here’s a bead locked wheels that we get with this 110 skull desert buggy, and i can tell you right Now these feel really good guys, they’re foam filled, bead lock, som jeg sagde, front and rear there, so they’re not going to come off the bead they’re, really nice and they’re nice and soft guys so uh yeah. These are. These are going to grip, really well, Okay, so i’ll put them on right now: okay and inside the box, i’ll grab the car and we’ll have a closer look at that all right, Fyre, i’ve gone put all the wheels on and the rear, spoiler and check. This thing out guys looks like a beast. I really look forward to taking this one out. I like the green and black combo here, because the deck was on the side. Full drive rocket, dbx10 there’s, a couple of guys in there as well looks like with oxygen lines. So a lot of detail to this truck guys full roll cage we’ve got some mesh on the uh bonnet there really nice, looking four by four one.

Tens guys even got little uh fire extinguishers there as well all right, so this one actually has sway bars, for- og bagside, which is really nice. We’Ve got oil filled shocks, Okay, really nice and i love the side pipes here as well, for the exhaust they’ve got that as well. This dvx10 guys has full uh metal parts throughout it’s, got cnc machined hardened steel gears all right. It also has the shock towers, guys they’re, millimeter, thickness front and rear there’s, the front ones just there, Okay, and they are also made out of 6061 uh metal. Okay uh the chassis plate is three millimeters in thickness it’s, also cnc machined. I really like how they’ve used the um allen key or hex screws throughout all recessed, rather than you know the phillips head screws. So really, nice we’ve got a very rigid front. Bumper here, there’s some lights in there plastic swing, arms, Okay, we’ve got the hub. Carriers are plastic as well: Okay, dog bones and cvds are all metal. We’Ve got uh sway bar on the front like on the rear, also have turn buckles throughout to adjust the toe camber so really nicely built desert buggy here so uh let’s uh take the two pins out and that will allow this whole actual roll cage section to Swing back and underneath here we can see the brushless system of this uh rc. Now this is a uh. 80 amp esc looks like it’s a waterproof esc.

We have the dumbo rc x6f receiver, of course nine kilogram servo here on the front. Okay – and this is a uh 3660 motor it’s got the zd racing branding on it and it is a 2300 kv. Now they claim that, with this combo, den 80 amp esc and the 3660 brushless motor, it says on this listing 80ks an hour guys so that’s. Yet to be determined um, you know they usually exaggerate. This will probably get you know pretty decent speed, but 80ks is pretty darn, quick for uh, an rc of this size and weight. You know this one actually weighs 2.2 Kg. It’S got a bit of weight to it. Here is the 3s battery that comes in it. You’Ve got your little brace here well, Lad os. Take that out quickly for a second i’ve got two pins holding it, and this is a fairly decent size. 33 milliamp time. Okay, det er en 11.1 Volt, 3S, obviously and it’s a 35 c discharge which ain’t too bad for a battery that comes with a car like this. So while i’ve got the battery out, you can see here that it has an aluminium anodized drive shaft there. Okay and you can see it’s got a plastic gear there for the spur all right and the mount is also six zero. Six one cnc machined as well standoffs are all alloy as well just there. Okay and the slipper clutch is also present in there as well all right.

So all in all, it looks like a pretty decent, build uh it’s, fairly neat um second floor chassis. Brace here is made out of plastic there’s a few plastic parts on this one guys but uh. There is a lot of combination of metal too, like the chassis plate, all metal gears throughout and so forth, so um yeah, guys um. I think this video is long enough, so what i’m gon na do is uh i’ll charge it all up and in the next video i’ll, take it out for sure and we’ll do a full length uh running video on that. The brushed ones, Selvfølgelig, are a bit of a lower price than the brushless, but uh so far. Første, impressions and first look um opening up with you guys looks like a pretty decent uh platform, so we’ll just have to test it out and see how it bashes around so anyway.
