Tt02 chassis cover. Okay, this is my tamiya tt02 rally chassis. If you’ve got an rc rally car, you know the problem is that because the body goes over the wheels all the dirt coming off, the tires goes inside and if it’s muddy that’s even worse. Also, ideally, you need some sort of cover over this, because camtech one comes with a couple of velcro strips and the cover this has got a cut line marked around it. So i’ll just cut that with some lexan scissors, so i’ve been cutting this out and offering it up to the car and at the back here you can have a bit of a smaller hole in this show because that’s the cut line they share that’s, where i’ve Cut uh: you want as few gaps as possible on the front it’s pretty much where they showed it, which will bend the aerial back so pushing against the top there. Music there’s still space for the steering to work right so it’s just a matter of putting some of the velcro around the side, so we can attach this properly, so this has actually got an over spray sheet on it. This isn’t lex i’m, not saying i’m, not sure what plastic this is. But i guess you could paint that with lexan paint. If you wanted to Music Applause, Musik. Okay, that seems to fit okay it’s difficult to put velcro around the front of the chassis. It’S got some slightly awkward shapes to it, but it sort of seems to stay but okay, Musik, Okay, so that’s very easy, but does it keep the dirt out? Let's? Siehe, Musikapplaus, Musik, Lachen, Musik, Musikapplaus, Musik, Applause right so back from the forest, i haven’t cleaned this up.
Yet some of this dust is on the outside and something’s on the inside. So really it’s kept most of the stuff out of the chassis uh it’s. A bit in the front there, just where that doesn’t cover but uh, not too bad and the main thing is. You can get sort of big bits of debris in there that sort of um clogging underneath there and i didn’t, get anything in the steering wheel. Musik, a little bit in there but uh yeah. The steering didn’t get clogged throughout that. So there is some fine dust inside here i mean it’s, not hermetically sealed, and i guess if it was, then you might have problems with overheating, but in general a very useful thing to have. So i guess one thing you do with this is to paint it black and then, when you see through the windows of your body’s shell, that you can’t see all the electronics with this body. Shell i’ve got tinted window, so you can’t see inside very much anyway. Just looking at this a minute you can see that obviously it doesn’t get rid of the problem that the dirt goes up inside the body but uh. I guess you just have to live with that. I’Ve got this cockpit here, it’s nicely designed for this one or i haven’t cut it out, particularly for this one, but it seems to fit low enough with the cover there. So it does fit in there obviously they’re far too far forward in this body, Muschel, but uh you could adjust it to suit just see if this fits in my tto to be it should do Music yeah that does fit under there.
I will trim it a bit differently for this and trim a little bit more off the bottom edge there. Okay, so all in all i’m impressed with this quite cheap – i guess unless you live outside the uk, in which case you’ve got postage to think about, but uh other than that, Ja, very good for your tto too, and recommended so that’s all for this one.
