Uh four wheel drive sandy uh vehicle and uh. This is what the actual vehicle looks like and it’s got a kind of a soft, not really soft, but a flexible plastic body that clips on um to to remove uh to get to the battery. You have to take these clips off and the battery is right. There so it’s pretty easy to change, and actually you could probably get to it without having to take this off, because this flap lifts up at first. I thought it was kind of cheap, because this is plastic, but i did a little bit of running with it earlier and the nice thing about this is if it, if you wreck or you hit a tree or it flips over this isn’t, going to break like Hard plastic would probably break so it’s. Actually, a good idea uh to have this flexible, uh, plastic um and the on off switch is right there, so that’s pretty easy and uh the remote. This is what the remote control looks like and it’s got on off. One of the cool things about this thing is um. You can switch the direction of the trigger and the steering to accommodate your personal preference so normal when it’s on and it’s normal normal means. When you pull the trigger the car goes forward and when you push the trigger the car stops and goes backwards and normal for steering means. If you turn this wheel to the right, the wheels turn right.
You turn to left the wheels turn left. Now you can switch that up if you want to so, if you reverse the throttle, then you push forward and it would go forward and you pull back. It would stop or go in reverse, and if you reverse the steering, you turn right, the car would go left and you turn left. The car would go right and i guess that’s if you wanted to do it crossways with your other hand or something it also has trim the steering trim. Basically, if you, if you pull the trigger and the car drifts to the right or left when you’re going straight, then you use this trim and turn it in the opposite direction of the direction that the car is drifting um. When i tried it, the car was drifting slightly to the left, so i moved the uh steering trim slightly to the right from zero being straight ahead to one to the right which actually corrected the steering, and now the car drives pretty straight um. The throttle trim. This is a pretty cool thing, so basically, the throttle trim is how fast the car reacts to this uh trigger, as well as top speed um when it’s down on a zero. The the car goes pretty slow, well, it’s still actually pretty fast, even for zero, but uh it reacts slower. So it gives you a chance to kind of learn how to use the the vehicle um without it being so fast that you can’t control it, and then i i’ve i’ve got it on uh about let’s, see yeah i’m i’m.
Actually, almost yeah it’s like on yeah. It was on two, i think so, you’ll see how fast this thing goes just on two and then i’m gon na crank it to halfway at five and then we’ll see how fast it goes on the 10. steering rates. The steering rate is similar, um, basically, the lower the steering rate, the the the less angle, the vehicle turns so i’ll show you that real quick, if you want to put your uh, show the vehicle so right now i i’m gon na turn it down to a One so right now, i’ve got it actually on a zero on the on the steering trim and, as you see, if i go left and right, it doesn’t actually react at all. So if i go up to like a two – oh it’s, not on did i not turn it on okay go ahead and switch it on all right. Let’S. Try that again, technical difficulties. Come everybody step back so i’ve got it all the way down onto zero and if i turn it to the right, it still doesn’t react. If i move it up to about a two it’s, not reacting that’s, weird yeah, it is oh there it goes wow. So you got to go, i got to get all the way up to about a four and then it just barely turns, and then, if i crank it all the way to a 10 now it actually turns pretty good, and what i found is if you’re, if You’Re running it with a with an uh, a younger child, who’s learning how to drive this thing for the first time, if you put it on about five, it turns just slightly enough that uh, it won’t make characters yeah it won’t make hairpin hairpin uh turns, but I i have it on a 10 when i’m doing it.
Okay, so now we’re going to see how it how it drives on the pavement here again, i’ve got the steering rate. All the way up to 10. i’ve got the throttle trim at about two and it’s it’s trim slider to the right. So here we go Music, that’s, pretty pretty good and that’s on that’s, with this throttle on a and then if you watch going backwards going forwards and the nice thing about this thing is: when you hit rev, hang on buddy when you hit reverse it, doesn’t automatically. Reverse what it actually does, the first time you push it uh or hit reverse it actually just stops the vehicle, and then you push it again and it’ll reverse. So i’ll show you how that works here in a second, so i’m going to go forward and i’m going to push the the i’m going to hit the brakes or the reverse one time and you’ll see it just stops the car so i’m going forward. I hit it once it just stops the car. Now, if i hit it again, it’ll actually go backwards, so that’s kind of cool, so it doesn’t that way. It doesn’t flip the vehicle over or make a big wheelie. So now what i’m gon na do is i’m gon na crank the uh throttle trim up to five and we’ll see what how fast it is on a five whoa don’t run into the bait. The kid holy smokes that’s pretty fast.
Look at that thing. What the heck let’s go back, so you can see it uh it’s a lot faster and that’s on a 5. and it’s got enough power. You can see, i i went off off road and it uh. I went off road and it came back up. I was able to drive it back up onto the pavement so i’m going to turn it around now almost got you huh, buddy Music. All right! Let me turn it around all right now: i’m, going to crank the throttle, trim all the way up to maximum all right. You ready watch this go it’s going to be fast. I think oh wow yeah holy smokes. Oh my gosh, just spin yeah it’s! So fast. I can actually power drift with it, so this thing moves right along at a on a 10. i mean it is fast it’s kind of hard to control, actually it’s, so fast, try driving through the grass yeah i’m going to so what i’m going to do now Is i’m going to throttle it back down and throttle it back down to a five right, a five or six and uh we’re gon na we’re gon na see what built on the grass remember so first, i think i’m gon na go down on the gravel and See how it does on the gravel it’s a little bouncy? Oh it’s, nice, it just plows right through oh yeah, remember when we were in hawaii it did that when we were driving our car in the Music, the more you have the steering trim, the more the higher you have, the steering the harder it is to control, Because you can see when it actually um takes a turn, it kind of flips flips out yeah.
This is our grass is pretty tall and it’s having no trouble whatsoever just plowing through the grass, the hill and i haven’t moved towards it and uh. You can see it’s still going and i’m a good third fifty hundred feet away from it and i’m, not having any trouble. This thing is fun. Man it’s well worth the price. How much was it uh? I think it was like 80 bucks or something it was less than a hundred dollars. I want to say it was around 80.. It acts like the battery’s starting to run a little bit low. Now i ran it inside the house earlier. I probably ran it for a good 10 or so minutes inside the house and we’ve had it running here for a good, uh, five or ten minutes as well. Here it says the battery life is 15 to 20 minutes and it i think, they’re, probably pretty accurate, that it is 15 to 20 minutes of drive time. The nice thing about it is: it came with two batteries, so when this one is done and burned out or out of juice, i’ve got another battery here that i can put into the car. Take the the depleted battery out, throw the depleted battery on the charger and continue having fun with this battery. You can also buy more of these batteries on eb uh online on amazon.com, um or um. I believe newegg um, which is, i think i got this at.
If i remember, i think i got this at amazon, but anyways you can you can go online and look for additional batteries for it, and i don’t think they’re very expensive and it’s a if you notice it’s, a double battery. It’S actually got two two batteries. Uh put together, which is why it’s got such a long extended drive time. The charging rate is probably, i think they said, four to five hours to charge a battery. So, unfortunately, when you deplete one battery, then then you put it on the charger it’s not going to be ready to go again uh when you deplete the second battery. So there is going to be some down time in between charging and running, but you can see unless they’re both charged yeah unless they’re already both charged, which these these ones are actually or they’re, both charged so anyways um.
