In this episode we get the kyosho javelin out for some freestyle action. We got some power, slides Music, plenty of donuts and, of course, we bust out the ramp to send this thing high flying, wait. You’Re, probably asking yourself no track footage. No, not yet you see. We finally got one of our first nice mild weather days, it’s about 55 degrees out this past weekend. It was actually easter sunday, so i escaped for a little bit in the morning got out there. I just couldn’t wait for the track. I had to have some fun with it. Unfortunately, the track is not ready. It needs a little maintenance after a long snowy winter, it needs to be raked needs to be leveled and we’re. Even thinking about making a small change to the layout, so i want to say in the next week or so we’re going to get out there do a little maintenance and then rest assured. I will get some action footage of this on the track, as well as a couple of my other rc’s that i built over the winter time now. I just want to backtrack a little bit to one of my previous episodes, where i did a build overview of the javelin, where i would put together um sections of the car off camera and then come back on film just to discuss how the build was going And i got a lot of positive feedback from the viewers that they really like that format.
So if you haven’t had an opportunity to check out that video i’ll post a link in the description down below but a follow up, video to this was the same format of my restoration of my kyosho turbo raider over here. So if you haven’t had an opportunity to check out that video as well that’ll also be in the description, but for those of you who do enjoy time lapse builds stick around to the end of the video because i’m going to let you know what is coming Up as far as a new inbox build on the channel and, of course, it’s going to be a time lapse, build, but before we get to the action footage, there’s one more thing i just want to address – and that is in that build overview. Video of the javelin, i talked about the shock weight, oil being 7.5 or 7 and a half – and i was kind of a little shocked, no pun intended there, and i was like really because some of the other kyosho legendary series use a heavier weight. Oil 17 and a half 21, and this is only 7.5, but i did a drop test on the channel Music and the suspension was rebounding, and so i figured why not let’s just go with it. So you’ll see in the upcoming action footage of this thing being launched off the ramp, it’s landing, plush, nice and smooth, and it seems to be taking it.
I mean there is one slow motion shot where it does bottom out, but that’s, because i went full speed. Hit the ramp got this about, like i don’t, know four or five feet up in the air and about seven eight feet out in distance, so i would expect probably it would bottom out at that point, but as far as being on the track, i don’t see That happening because, while we do have jumps on the track, um it’s not going to be going four or five feet and six or seven feet out in distance on the track. They’Re smaller jumps and i don’t foresee that being an issue. But again i won’t know for sure, because having it out there on the baseball field and just ripping around is very much different than running it on the track. Once i get it on the track, i’ll be able to play around with the settings, hopefully get it. Dialed in and then i’ll get it to where i want it and, of course, it’ll be in the four wheel drive class. You know for some of our race night videos for season two. So all right! Well, with that here’s the action footage and again stick around to the end, so you see what’s coming up on the rc retro channel Music, Music, Music, hey Music, Music, so Music Music! Well, i hope you enjoyed that action. Footage and just remember. I will eventually get the javelin out on the port royal raceway and get some really cool action, footage of it on the track, but what is coming up next on the channel? Well, specifically, the next new inbox kit to be built on the channel is the kyosho beetle.
I got this about a year ago, so it’s about time we get it built. This is the next new inbox kit that is going to be built on the channel, but before this video comes out, there’s gon na be one video before it, and that is right here on the dinosaur. We need to get this fixed up and ready for race season, and so we are going to be doing a quick video showing how we’re going to use parts from the tr 15t stadium truck as well as 3d printed parts. Some parts from the super astute to fix this up, get it modified and ready for our race night season two and then the beetle build and then look what else finally came to the channel. As a matter of fact, i came home from work today and it was waiting for me inside my living room and of course my wife was super thrilled that another rc kit came to the house. But look what finally arrived. The fighter buggy rx memorial. Only about a month behind everybody else, i love living in north america. We get everything last but that’s, okay, because i really enjoyed watching everybody else’s videos on this. So i really know what to expect when i open it and when i build it and um. Those will help me out greatly and of course we will do some kind of build here on the channel. Get it on the track get some really cool footage of it, so that’s everything that’s coming up on the channel in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for all that.
I hope you enjoyed this video. Thank you. So much subscribe hit. The like button be well everyone, and i will see you all in my next video take care.
