I think i might have a problem. I’Ve bought a lot of endura shocks lately and hey i’ve been happy with them. The price is right and you can get them on amazon. Get them delivered. Really quick, so let’s go over a new style of endura shock, one we haven’t looked at yet and see what these guys are all about, and one thing to mention in this video i had a request from a viewer recently to to go over uh how to Fill the shocks with oil, i i’m not like a super shock setup guru by any means, so please don’t take everything i’m going to say in this video, as this is how you fill up shocks i’m, not a pro rc racer. I don’t i’m, not a pro setup guy i’m, an enthusiast okay, so i am more than willing to go over and show you guys how i fill up my shocks, which i think is kind of the basics of how to fill shocks. Oil filled chalks up so and then you can kind of use that as a cornerstone and go from there all right check it out and with so many of these indoor products. The packaging you receive is extremely plain, jane, but there’s a lot of value in this packaging, and i want to get into that right away, so let’s just get these bad boys opened up once again. I am really impressed with the with what i see when i buy these shocks from indora uh, the the shocks they look, absolutely beautiful, υπάρχει, really nice, blue and the nizing on these guys.
They come with a blue spring it’s a little bit of a darker blue. So there’s a bit of a color contrast: we’ve got a separate sort of plate in the center here, so you can combine different spring rates. The fit and finish just looks really: nice we’ve got a nice threaded shock body on these it’s, pretty tight but beautifully threaded for adjustability and uh overall first impressions are. These are really nice looking shock so let’s get this guy opened up let’s. Take it apart. Θα το κάνουμε., do this all in real time? Εντάξει, so i just compress a spring pull off that lower perch and here are my springs and center spring divider note. These springs are two different heights ones, taller ones shorter, and in this case they have the taller one up. Κορυφή, i feel like they’re about the same uh in rigidity. Again all metal construction, which is nice and let’s, crack these guys open. Nwo, one minor thing i notice right away, that’s different than the other enduras. That i’ve reviewed is that there’s, this little rubber o ring right here, and this is actually quite important, because this is going to help keep oil in and not allow it to leak out so let’s. Do this let’s take this guy right off and i’m going to push this guy right up and through and right away? I do see they have you some assembly lube on here, which is smart and there it is leaking all over my bench.
There are little rubber o rings inside here right. There see that little guy and without using assembly lube that little rubber, o ring would split or it could get torn quite easily. So that is just a nice attention to detail thing with these shocks and if you note the piston on here again, one of the only downsides of purchasing these is they only come with this one size piston. So all of your dampening will be adjusted via oils themselves, not a piston. So here we have our assembled chalk with the top cap off and i i’m gon na set up all four of these. The same way and i’ll show you the stuff i’m, using just to me a damper oil. I think this feels to me like it’s, probably about a 35 weight, but i just don’t know 100 i’m speculating there, so i think it’s, roughly a 35 or a softer oil and i’m just going to fill this up. Just fill it up slowly and you don’t need to fill it right to the very top just get her very close to the top, not right to the top and i’ll show you why, in a second so i’m going to compress the spring and let it come Back up gently make sure you control it, especially as it’s coming back up, because if you just let it fly, you’re going to shoot shock oil all over the place, so pump it up and down a few times.
And what you’re doing here is just allowing any air that’s trapped, underneath the piston to escape not a lot of bubbles coming out of this one, so that’s good shock feels nice and smooth. So now one thing to make note of is, as your shock is completely depressed, see how the oil is starting to crust up and over and as it lengthens back out the oil level. The oil level drops at the top here so keep in mind that your shock is going to compress all the way down that oil. You have to make sure you don’t overfill, because now, όπως μπορείτε να δείτε, i’d have too much oil in here so i’m, going to show you a little demonstration i’m going to take my top cap and just screw that on get it nice and snug. And now, as i go to compress my shock, i can’t even compress it because there’s too much oil in there, you have to leave space for the oil to move. So a little trick is to loosen up the cap just like that. Get some paper towel ready and compress it compress your shock, and you see the oil start to come out. Do it a couple times nice and controlled like that now i’m, going to tighten this up all the way. Take my paper towel clean up my oily mess. Nwo, with all that, excess oil out i’ve got full functionality of the shock, so i’ll just have to repeat that three more times for the rest of the shocks in the kit and i’ll be good to go now.
Overall thoughts on these shocks, Um. What can i say they they look nice. The initial appearance of them is gorgeous they’re, a little gritty when, when operating up and down – and maybe they just need to be broken in a bit – i can’t quite tell felt a little bit gritty but they’re feeling better. I do love the fact that they come with a lot of different spring options so which spring option is right for you. I don’t know it all depends on the weight of your rig and your driving style and your track and all that kind of jazz. So a good idea is, to just start start off every shock, the same that’s. What i like to do, i know my pistons are all the same, because they’re not interchangeable i’m, going to use the same weight of oil in every single shock and check out my springs, make sure my springs are all the same and then at least i have A baseline and then i’m going to drive the rig, and if i feel that i feel you know it needs more dampening or if it needs a better rebound rate, i can adjust accordingly. So that’s start on one on one level playing field and start making. Adjustments from there Music, so that is it for today’s video guys. I really hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about these indoor shocks, the review and how i like to fill them.
