I own 2018 Camry, and have a question, in the back of the radio is it equipped with RCA input cables. I would like to mirrorlink my phone to my Camry using HDMI AV RCA cables.
Toyota 2019 and the Audio/Video system is still years behind other manufacturers. This system does not support Android Video link. Getting movies and games from Phone to A/V in vehicle should be standard much like Screen Mirroring on TV's. Extremely disappointed in Toyota's Audio/Video. Still lugging around cases of DVD's and SD Cards… No One at the Toyota Dealer even knew how to use the Toyota Entune system.

entune is junk… The radio looks like something you'll find in walkmarts audio section from Dual.. You pay so much and you get so little but hey, its reliable.. Or reliably boring..

PLEASE SOMEONE RESPOND TO MY QUESTION ABOUT iPhone and CARPLAY in my CHR 2019 Limited WIRELESSLY? The other question is there an option out there to use a 3rd party system that can be intergrated into the head unit of the CHR console? I have the 8 inch display with Entune Plus made by Pionner I understand, cant I just use another system and have it work with my NEW CAR?
Έχω ένα. 2019 C-HR Limited and Entune Plus. It was recommended to get an iPhone in order to experience the best audio sound, navigation and CARPLAY! We had Samsung Galaxy Note 8 units and frustrated that you needed to use a USB cable to get the full functionality of the navigation maps. The dealer said iPhone is the ONLY way to go which allows WIRELESS functionality of CAR PLAY. So we upgraded both phones early (wasn't cheap) to the iPhone XR MAX just to be able to enjoy our new car and CARPLAY wirelessly. WELL I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!! Our expensive swap to the iPhones still have us STRAPPED TO USING A USB CABLE at all times in orer for carplay to work. I was told the initial connection for setup requires a USB only once then from then on it will automatically connect to CARPLAY to the iPhone either mine or my spouse. I HAVE RIED THE SETUP about 20 different times, I have reset the iPhones and the Entune Head unit back to the Manufactuers default settings and reloaded the updates on the head unit TOP NO AVAIL. I still cannot get the iPhone to connect CARPLAY wirelessly!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! Apple is clueless to the problem and Toyota dealership thinks im doing something wrong. DSO I NEED TO SCHEDULE MY CAR FOR SERVICE just to have them setup our new iphones to the Entune Plus to enjoy CARPLAY wirelessly ??????/ I can't figure it out and getting very upset and irritated with all of it. PLEASE HELP ME!

i bought a 2018 sienna worst mistake of my life, i was told by the dealer i could remove the entune and replace it with an after market gps but toyota changed the wiring on the 2018 sienna and carolla, there is no way to replace this garbage entune, its a year later and there still is no aftermarket solution
I don't care for Entune also the sound system is horrible in the 2018 Camry they should have put Bose sound system in the car

Today I called Entune customer support to ask, Why in the I Hart Radio App I am not able to see the artist playing the song only shows a square with the I Hart Radio Emblem, That looks very cheap, The answer they gave me was that when you are driving that would be a distraction for the driver that that is a safety feature.
Nwo, I want to know if you choose to change station. How that will not be a distraction to the driver? We owners know how tricky it is to change stations with that touch display, the car has decent power for 4cyl. and nice looks but for entertainment that Entune 3.0 is pure Garbage to the 100 power, the programming management for the updates should be someone that has the fundamentals to make owners show that our decision we made to purchase the car came with quality control. The answer we can't see the one playing the music can't be seen only when park is a sloppy answer, What's next we will not be able to change station because is a distraction??? Safety feature they will say I hope someone reads this an understand what I am trying to state and help me understand why they think that is a safety feature….

I have to agree. Entune is elementary. This is not high tech at all. Thinking about trading my 2018 In! No Apple play is sad. This is so far behind the times.
And for this reason along with the fact that they still haven't made the display screen bigger smh my next vehicle won't be another toyota instead I be getting an audi or bmw at least they audio system supports apple or android.

What this video fails to include is…. When you have your music device either plugged in to the USB port or attached via Bluetooth, your album artwork will disappear when vehicle is shifted in to drive. Thanks to the NHTSA they took the upper hand in suppressing this on your infotainment system. I just don't get it. The artwork doesn't move. It doesn't flash. It just sits there. Now you have to look at a stupid icon that represents the USB or your Bluetooth. Μου 2015 Rav4 had the artwork. But not my 2018 Camry SE. It is crap!!
Looks like everyone agrees – entune is junk. CD player in 2018 is just like tape player in 2004 (Ναι, my previous 4Runner came with tape player!). But why struggle – for less than $500, I am installing a great aftermarket unit while new entune thing sells on ebay for nearly $1,500. Look at it as a great business opportunity.
