This was very helpful. I just received the same controllers, so you made it easy to get around all the Chinese ! Now that unit is running, is it normal to smell some diesel even when the unit is cold and off?
my unit came with the black lcd but no remote. does anyone know where i can get just a remote that will work with it andnot have to buy a whole new controller? great little video, Gracias

Mine was working fine for about two months but now when I try to set the timer on and off its not working how it should
It allows me to set the on time but then when I go to the next option 2off it doesn't allow me to input a time , it just goes straight to the pin lock option?!!
Wtf is happening here?? I sat for hours pressing all different kinds combinations to try to resolve it but no joy man 🙁
Is there a fix for this that you know of please I'd be so grateful for any help .

The only observation that I would make is that when checking the temperature of the external case, this temp is in free air. If it was mounting touching something then the temp may be a lot higher. Just a thought if anyone was going to install one in a confined space…

Does this model have a thermostat where you can set the temperature and the heater will seek this temperature by running faster when it is colder and then slowing down and idling as the temperature is reached? All I can see is that when you change the temperature, it changes only the fuel pulse cycles to feed more fuel or less fuel.

I'd just like to thank you for the very clear and concise video, this helped me no end in completing my set up. Im planning on running a 80/20 kerosine diesel mix to help reduce internal carbon build up. So far so good, great little heaters for the price 👍

i fitted one of these heaters in my boat over 12 months ago and it is amazing well worth the money
but i had a problem with the LCD screen on the black square unit the display faded till it was not visible
anyway i just replaced it with one of the new blue versions and a red remote which works great.
do you have any experience of modifying the locked menu ?
i have the code and altered the fan speed etc .

any idea of the distance? im 15 floors up in a block of flats, my non-lcd remote wont reach my van in the car park, are the lcd ones any better. Además, will extending the aerial to outside the van make a difference? cheers
I have the same red remote and it only displays temp set and ambient temp. no case temp or voltage anyone know whats wrong?

A question : in your knowledge the blue display is equal to red/gold display, changing position of the buttons only?
Also the trick to use oil pump alone?
I get a red one, but with zero instruction. seems equal, more the Altimeter and a sign for fuel, that i don't understand how it could works.

My blue panel doesn't show the antenna or anything…can't pair the remote. In order to get the "for pairing" to show up, I had to push the ok button FIRST, Entonces, while holding down the OK button, press and hold the power button to get that message. Nevermind, had to follow the instructions EXACTLY and it's fine. Pretty cool for cheap!
