Mantenimiento y reparaciones de RC. Estampida de Traxxas 4×4, Guepardo JLB, y DHK Zombie.
Just some general things to keep my cars up and running uh. So just so, you get into the video uh on the dhk zombie uh we’re, going to be taking a look at the servo saver assembly and we’re also going to be disassembling the front end and getting into the front diff and taking a look at that, and Maybe servicing a few things in there for the other two trucks, the stampede is going to be getting a motor and speed controller swap we’re going to be putting in a ’70 kv, 540 cam brushless motor and a 60 amp hobby wing style, speed controller into it. Um the speed controller in this is going to be coming out and then also going into the jlb cheetah. So we can get the jlv cheetah back up and running as well. So that would be a look at what we do. Some work on today, guys so uh let’s get into this all right. You guys let’s get this uh steering centered back up and reconnect it and see if it still works. You all right, you guys moment of truth, all right sweet. We have steering again so uh. The next step will be tearing into the front diff and uh servicing the front differential, so uh let’s get into that. próximo, Muy bien, everybody! I got into the dhk zombie front. Diff uh let’s check the damage and see what actually happened to this thing. There we go pop that thing open and let’s check that thing over okay, so let’s take this out, get it cleaned up and uh.
Take a look at what’s, actually going on in here that metal, not just grease, looks like the only thing that’s going on is the uh the ring gear in there that little set screw is coming loose and uh yeah that comes off pretty easy, pretty easily it’s. Pretty common on these cars, so what i’m gon na do is i’m gon na pull that off clean the grease out check those teeth, check the teeth on the main diff and, si es, still good, um i’m gon na throw it back in there and tighten up That screw with some uh, some better thread lock and then we’ll, get it reassembled and see if it’ll run right all right, you guys after inspecting the gears uh, the teeth are pretty worn out on both of these. Both the uh, the big ring gear and the little pinion inside uh, since that um grub screw, had come off it wore the teeth down, pretty bad um on this little guy sure, if you can see that, but uh the teeth are pretty worn out on these. Así que estoy, just gon na go ahead and replace them with uh brand new ones. I have a brand new set of teeth, ready to go in already have diff fluid in it brand new bearings on it, so it should be ready to go in and be a direct swap. I’Ve just got to clean out the inside and it’ll be ready to go all right.
You guys i put a little bit of thread lock on this little grub screw let’s, put it back on the pinion and get the the new differential in the front of the truck all right. You guys i’ve got the diff, mostly reassembled uh. We just have to put the front cover and the shock tower back on and replace the front shocks, and this should be good and should should be good and complete. But the next step we have to do is really really important and i just use some really inexpensive marine grease on all of my differentials and stuff like that it’s waterproof or not waterproof, but water resistant, Yo debería decir – and it really helps keep a lot of The moisture and stuff out of your differentials – y cosas así, keeps your bearings from getting all nasty and corroded as well. So i like to coat all my bearings and all of my differentials in this stuff and it helps kind of keep the moisture and everything away so uh we’re going to loop, this guy up use my little rubber glove, so i don’t get all nasty and then We’Ll get that cover back on and reassemble the rest of the car. Just take a nice like healthy finger full like that it’s about what i use i’m, just going to kind of go around slowly rotate. The car here get the diff to go around there. We go that sway bar out of the way put a nice glob of it in there come on wheels.
There we go now we got her to spin. This is probably the messiest way ever doing it, but this is the way that i can do it at this point. There we go that ought to do take off the glove and let’s reassemble the rest of this car. Muy bien, you guys moment of truth with the zombie to see if the front diff is running, Uh, see if everything’s rolling, smooth make sure we’re just gon na double check the steering and everything so let’s power on on all right steering, looks good, let’s see what The Applause all right, zombies back from the dead, let’s move on to another vehicle. Muy bien, you guys the next thing on the bench is going to be the uh, the stampede 4×4 bigfoot here. What we’re going to be changing today is the esc and motor. We are going to be swapping over from this 120 amp esc, which i’m going to swap and put into the jlb cheetah, and this big old, 3 and 4s motor i’m going to take this out and we’re going to install uh. This uh ’70 kv 540 cam brushless motor uh comes out of a dhk cross and a 60 amp uh hobby wing style esc here um. This should actually pair up a lot nicer with this truck for the weight and you won’t have to bolt up so much to get this motor to work. So it’ll work better for the cheetah, por lo que es, where this is going to go and then this motor is going to be a spare for either the cheetah or the zombie or one of the other trucks, whichever whatever i may need in the future, por lo que es.
What we’re gon na do with the stampede so let’s start disassembling it and get everything swapped over all right. You guys uh let’s, see if this uh all went together well, i’m gon na throw a battery in this real, fast and power. This on and see what see what happens we got it powered on hmm, we got nothing hold on just a second all right. You guys take two let’s see if we got all this sorted out. All right steering looks good Music cool looks like the stampede is good. Muy bien, you guys stampede’s good. Let me just button this thing up and uh we’ll be right back all right, everybody we got the stampede 4×4 bigfoot, all buttoned up and uh finished up uh. It has a 13 tooth uh 32 pitch pinion in there, and then everything else went back together, really really smooth uh. We got the steering set. We got the throttle and brake set so uh this thing’s good to go. Uh we’re gon na move on to putting in the speed controller into the cheetah, and that should finish up the video for today. Muy bien, you guys uh let’s, get the speed controller out of the jlb cheetah and uh swap over to uh this guy right here. Este uh 120 amp hobby wing style esc all right, you guys. I got the cheetah all wired back up. I got the speed controller and everything in uh. Let’S put this thing up on wheels and uh see if it goes in the right direction, all right make sure everything’s zeroed out on my trims Music zeroed all right.
All my trims are good power that on steering works, put something in that fan. Applause choose a little backwards. Give me just a second, no reverse so that’s the wrong one. Bien, so doing just a second power that down power that off, we will switch these two wires come on orange. There we go boom and boom there. We go power back on steering there we go cool, looks like we’re. All back up and running guys got three cars fixed in one day, Muy bien, everybody, que es gon na, do it. For today, on troy’s hobbies, Uh, we repaired all three of these trucks. Uh replaced. The front differential and uh replaced the uh, the servo saver on the dhk zombie replace the esc in the jlb cheetah swapped out from this truck and replace both the speed controller and the motor in the stampede bigfoot. So all three of these trucks are running well. Now uh it’s really good to have all three of them back up and running in top form again, so uh expect to see more of them on the channel. así que, like always guys um, you know give the video a thumbs up. You know like share subscribe.
