Actually going to be doing some repairs to it, Fondamentalement, the servo that came with this, this radio, the mx3, the samurai mx3 that i was using in my rc car here. So this is a airtronic sanwa servo, Lla 9194 102 Ici. Fondamentalement, what happened was you have the servo gear that you connect to the control arm for the uh, steering the steering uh rack that’s in here? Fondamentalement, what happened was the screw that goes in here, stripped the inside of it, and the reason why i think that happened is because this is a plastic. This car is pretty high powered uh due to the fact that it’s a i have a brushless motor in here, even though the motor itself is brushless but it’s a stock motor, so it’s not it’s, not considered modified class it’s considered a stock class motor, but it’s Too powerful it’s so powerful that the servo wouldn’t hold the screw wouldn’t hold into this here. Donc, fondamentalement,, what i did was i bought a replacement servo because i needed i need to replace the whole servo since it stripped the screw, and i don’t want to just rebuild rebuild my rebuild the servo itself. So i bought a new servo and i’m going to show you the servo let’s unbox this or open up this bad boy here, so i actually got it on ebay, but i can give you guys a link to it. This is the savox digital sc, 0242 Sc 0254 mg.
It has a metal gearing on the inside. It also came with this. This is an aluminum horn, so the the servo itself comes with some different size plastic horns, but this one in particular came with a aluminum and aluminum horn to go with it so it’s metal on metal rather than metal on plastic uh. So hopefully for one. I have enough room inside the chassis, because this is a the chassis here is my basically. This is a very old chassis that i put a bunch of hop ups on uh. c'est, i bought this ready to ready to race rtr. This is the the original chassis on. Here is a tt02 tamiya, tt02 uh, and it came with this pre painted body. Really i, Comme, i love this, this style body. This is uh based on the subaru uh wrx sti rally car with the bug eyes. What a classic you know: um oui. I really love this. I really love the body on here but yeah. So the chassis hopefully there’s enough space for this servo, because the servo is a little bit longer because it’s a hype a little bit higher power servo than what was originally in. What i originally put in here so hopefully there’s enough space to fit the servo. And you know, i’ll show you my car here. I had to take this out this used to be the tie down for the battery. I upgraded the whole system. Donc, fondamentalement,, all my electronics and my motor are up updated from the original.
The original had an old 540 motor brushed. This is a brushless system that i went to. I think this is. vouloir. I got an lrp yeah. This is an lrpv uh, vector k2. Je pense que c’est, 10 and a 10.2 turns and then 10.5 turns. Je pense, and then i also have this so going brushless. So my so first of all, my esc right here is a pretty small yeah it’s, a pretty small ese it’s, the uh novak edge for brushless system, no back edge cesc. It only can it can only handle a certain amount of turns on your motor, so pretty much stock motor class. My other rc car i put in a the motor that i have in there is a four four and a half turn brushless as well, but i have a novak gtb3 so that should that actually is able to handle that motor, so i’m actually going to be Doing another uh i’m going to be doing another video like this fixing that car, because what happened was the spur gear now the spur gear on that one got totally damaged because the pinion on the motor wasn’t making correct contact with it. So i purchased a replacement, spur gear, so i’m going to be replacing that piece so stay tuned for more adventures in hobbying, where i fixed that piece, but for now i’m gon na actually test fit. This servo make sure that it will fit in here.
The dimensions. Look fine this way this width, but you know the height of the thing i’m, not sure if it’s going to fit so i’m going to try to see if it will fit and yeah last time. I i did this i so basically, one of the hop ups on on here is this: carbon support, brace right here, it’s a carbon fiber support, brace with sway bars for the front and rear attachment right. Donc, c’est. This is not an original piece to the tt01 right. The tt01 originally didn’t even have a lot of these hop ups that i’ve placed in here. I have upper and lower control arms. Donc, fondamentalement,, on the suspension, you can change the camber right. I also updated the shocks these are trf to me are racing shocks on here. Uh and i actually these wheels on here are the hpi hpi wheels made for drifting. So i turned this into a drift vehicle. I figured hey i’m, not going to use it to race, so i might as well have some fun with it, and so this is now my drifting rc and my my racing rc is a tv04 pro 2 chassis with a modified motor Music, Musique, Musique, donc musique. So now i got the servo in i what i want. What i’m going to do now is route, this wire plug it into the receiver and then i’m gon na try to do some cable management a little bit.
What i did last time was i tucked a lot of the excess right here, which is probably what i’m gon na do as well right. There i’m gon na tuck it in put it around you don’t, want it to touch your motor because the motor electronics are very sensitive, and i just learned that from dealing with my other rc car Music, donc musique, donc musique, Musique, Musique, Musique Musique. So i mounted the um, the stabilizing bar back on uh finished, tightening up the screws uh tucked in the cables put this back on and i’m super juiced to actually run this drip car once again, and hopefully the servo doesn’t break on me or anything else. Nothing else breaks on me, so i hope it all works out.
