I’M gon na show you a little bit about cutting stock tires, how you can cut the stock tires and also how you can cut the phones and the tires. A lot of people take stock tires off when they first buy rtr, crawler and uh. I think i think a lot of times they do that really too quick i’m going to show you in this little video, and i hope you enjoy it so i’m gon na put this on the workbench here put y’all up here on the tripod we’re gon na Get into this video, i hope you enjoy it there’s a couple different ways: you can go about modifying your stock rtr tire. This right here is a traxxas canyon, trail tire. It comes on the trx4 lot of trx4 platforms and some of their other trucks. I know it’s on the sport, i believe it’s on the blazer uh it’s, not on the trx 6, but it comes on a lot of their crawlers. d'accord, this tire has been cut. If you look real close, i know it’s dirty, but and the reason this dirt is because i keep it real here, Je suis, not going to clean everything up just for a video, but you can see where they cut the lugs. Out of this tire, see every other lug’s been cut and i’m gon na be honest with you, i’ve got some hot racks. I got high racks on three three of my crawlers yeah, well uh yeah, three of my crawlers and i got a trx4 sport.

This tire right here is on my trx 4 sport, and this tire right here will out climb my prolon high racks. Just because of that terramot now we’re going to show you another mod that you can do to the foams inside the tire uh. I would try one first, i would try cutting the lugs first. What i would do first is just get the name off your top tire and search whatever type of tire. It is and put mods behind it on the youtube, search and uh just see what kind of mods are out there for you tire. You know for your thread, tread pattern where to cut your lugs at just don’t: go in there randomly cutting lugs or you’re gon na be in a in a big mess. But the second thing you could do is cut foams and that’s. What we’re going to do? I’Ve already loosened up these bolts i’m, going to take the foam out and i’m going to show you a couple different ways: you can cut the foams all right, voici, your foam, si vous, if you got a black foam, it’s a little bit harder if your foam’s White it’s a little bit easier, but the way i do it is basically i’ve got some batteries that just go down and charge it. The way i do it is i’ll basically just try to make a star pattern on the tire this you don’t, you don’t have to be perfect.

With these you just uh. You know you don’t want them too often, because crawler towers are never going to be balanced. They’Re always picking up mud in their tread, someone’s holding water they’re never going to be balanced, so it you know, it’s not going to make a difference now on something that’s going like a bash or something that’s going fast, yeah it’s going to be an issue, but What i do is just cut a small v out of the tire just like it right there and just pull it out just like that ever so you just kind of use this as a pattern you can also. I think i forget what how many companies but there’s companies that make these foams already cut like a star pattern like this there’s, a bunch of other ways, you can uh modify your foams too, but uh you could cut around the outside of the foam and just Trim a little bit off and that would give you a softer tire. But when doing this, you got to think about your your truck. Are you going to put a lot of brass under it if you’re going to put a lot of brass and wait your truck down, which i do on mine, you know everybody’s, i don’t know that’s a big topic in the rc crawling world. Do you put weight on it or not, but regardless you know it’s up to you what you do if you’re going to put a lot of brass on it don’t do this first, just do the do the tire mod first cut cut the lugs first see how The truck performs see it’s, if you make sure your tire has not got that real squash beating out on the side.

Do it first and see how that works? Pour vous, si vous êtes, not gon na wait, your truck and you done, did the tire lug cut this tire lugs try this mod here. The reason you want to do this mod is because it’s free and why throw away good tires that you know if you got the time i mean it’s all according to how much time you got times money. We all know that it’s all according how much time you got. If you got a lot of time, a lot of money you can just buy these just look up: uh uh phones on amazon or wherever you buy your stuff and there you go and uh. Fondamentalement, what they had to do is, when you put it in that tire, and it goes to crawl over a uh, a rock or something. It will be that out just a little bit and give you that extra little bit of grab so that’s it for the tara mod.
