Well, here at our park in linda vista, we have this rock slab you’re looking right at it, and it is not only steep. There is a big slippery rock right on the lip of it. So we have a new vehicle, a low center of gravity, with a power wagon body right here and we’re, looking at our first successful crawl of this particular obstacle. So hang on to liento for some some good stuff and what’s yours what’s, your take. Are we gon na? Do it or not so right there, the entry is actually difficult uh because of all these rocks the right’s too steep. So you have to enter from the left, but there’s that big rock on the left and you have to perch your front tires over that rock slab and right there. We’Re doing is we’re angling left angling right, trying to get some dynamic movement oftentimes the that movement will cause the vehicle to fall to the left and the key is to stop make an adjustment back up and then try again so we’re gon na apply a little More throttle seems like there’s a little bite right at the limit and maybe that’s enough to get us over and there you go and, as you can see, it did drag its belly, but it allowed it to slide over. So here is another approach that we’ve heard about. So this right side of this rock is way too steep. You can’t get over it, but if you can snake your way or crab walk your way to the right side, there’s a possibility there so right there, the key is we’re crab, walking, uh one tire is touching and but not unsettling the vehicle to make it fall Right there so a lot of little motion right there and right there, as you can see it’s very steep but it’s more doable than the rock slab.
So right there, a little finesse and modulation is important right. There we’ll grab tip and we got it a little. Three point turn and we’re over. This is cool. We’Re gon na have a different angle at it, and you can really see what a belly dragger is very high clearance and the the belly skid is angled to make it move forward. So it kind of slower in the front the belly slower in the front than in the back so we’ll give it some forward motions right. There i’m trying to angle to get in a hassle that has to dip down just to get a good approach at this and boom right there. I made it to the right side of that rock and i’m going to use the edge of my tire to get some movement going and you can see the whole vehicle is scrub, walking to the right and that’s a good thing. You can see the high clearance links and the high high clearance belly gives it the opportunity to this to do this obstacle. If things are touching there, you would have no chance so right there. You could see it’s inching its way to the right millimeter by millimeter. It’S millimeter in its way to the right and right there we got it good and right there, another belly dragon move belly didn’t hit, so it was able to grab tire and right. There we’ll continue this little obstacle. We’Re gon na go right here.
We never do a little three point turn and then come back out. It’S gon na attempt to go down straight down the chute, but it’s too much of an angle. So here we did, the we went to the left of the three point turn and went down this. This vehicle, as good as it is, is not a great descender, because it has a lot of forward weight to allow it to do these climbs. It does okay, but you have to catch it with the throttle as it’s descending, because the rear is not usually touching the ground and right there hard right turn in a severe side hill. I think you guys have seen this before, but what’s cool is the ease at which this vehicle does it portal axles ar 45s g speed a lot of hardcore racing links, team garage, hack parts, it has 32 overdrive. What allows you to do allows you to climb. Well also allows you to do. Nice turns right here, a little power, and that was not a three point turn he just did a little little drift and it was around about 10 inches in diameter of a steering radius right. There it’s catching itself this vehicle by the way has vanquish wheels. Proline hyrax tires and predator compound and proline dual stage: foam the proline dual stage: foam works really well, but only for heavier vehicles and prolonged tires it’s, a fairly big dual stage foam. So you know heavy meaning.
You know six to eight pounds. If you have something less than six pounds this dual stage foam is not gon na work right there trying to do something you just just did a little exercise. There three point turn and now: i’m gon na go down and side hill, try and squash that bug. Some bloopers, some advice for you guys and a couple good friends told me if you don’t allow your if you don’t allow your vehicle to fall. That means you’re you’re catching it way too soon and you’re not giving it a chance to succeed. So you have to let it fall but be in a position where you’re catching it not like here, catch it with your feet too.
