So today i have got this hobby wing sc8, art, rtr, 120 mpsc, uh it’s, a clone i’m fairly sure it’s, a clone didn’t uh. You came just a plain box, doesn’t, say hobby wing on it anywhere it’s sold under unbranded hobby wing. I do believe uh. I got it off ebay for 70. uh. If it works that’s a great price, they do send you the instructions telling you how to program it. A couple pieces of double sided tape and some zip ties and they do give you how to program it without the programming card. On the back, and i believe you can also get a programming card for this and take the exact same one as the hobby wing. Oh, i bought it for my e revo. I had this monster mamba one in it, but i ran it one time in the snow, and that was that i bought this thing second hand, though i i don’t think it liked the snow so i’m gon na get this all wired up and thrown in there And we’ll give it a test. I’Ll, maybe do a setup video on it at a different time. So let me get this thing. Soldered together i got ta, get it ready to go for two. Two cells and i’ll get back with you. Okay, all wired up let’s get this thing calibrated, so i got my radio on i’m going to hold a little set button in turn it on for the neutral position.
Click it no full throttle reverse. Now we should be good there we go. I ended up using uh six millimeter connectors for the motor to the esc and i wired my uh connectors up in series coming off the battery leads. Well, let me get the battery on let’s, run it up and down road trail, something and see how it does. All right, we’ll get it out here and test it uh. I don’t have to be easy on the throttle getting into it. I got these new proline trenchers on here no wheelie bar. I barely touched it and slid about 20 feet down the road on the roof. So let’s see if i can rip it up and down without flipping it. Oh gon na have to walk after that one, oh, i said trenches earlier i’m in badlands. I got ta be careful to keep it out of the water too. The o ring on that receiver box is no good hahahahaha. Definitely gon na need a wheelie bar starting to rain out here. So i won’t go too much longer rip it around a little bit more and give it a final thought so well there’s that water it’s trying to stay out of we’ll go through it easy so, oh well! I did not have any luck staying out of that water like we talked about, but well speaking of the esc, so far so good i mean i have only been able to run at this one time, but 70 bucks got me back on the road.
I don’t think i can go wrong, seems to have plenty of punch plenty of power. I’M gon na do a little tuning with this thing get a wheelie bar. This is really only the second time i’ve driven that truck this truck it burned up after the first time. I used it. So thanks a lot for watching um hope this helps you make a choice on a nice, cheap esc that seems to work pretty good.
