Arrma Notorious V5 Unboxing and Review

This is a new version that just came out we’re also going to be comparing it to a traxxas max. This truck is actually converted to 6s it’s. Really a ripper it’s got brand new badlands on it, and we also have an armored talon here, which is mine. It also has the badlands on it and uh. This truck is also uh, 6s it’s completely stocked with the speed gear, and so is this one with the speed gear, let’s go ahead and let’s see what this notorious is all about. I’Ll put this down here. Take a look at the back of the box here. It’S got all this new stuff: it’s got a new servo new speed control, new motor there’s, the new shock towers, the previous shock towers, it’s got new radio and receiver pretty excited about this rig. We were actually able to look at one at the store before we actually look into it. This thing looks pretty sick, go ahead and open up the box here. All right set this aside, pull the top off set that aside, we got the blue version, they come in blue and black instructions. You got your uh, gus tools come with always, and you got your speaker which we will be installing. Put that aside. Let’S go ahead. Of course we got some awesome blue body. That body looks absolutely sick. This is about the only time. You’Ll see this thing clean out. We’Ll set that aside, so we have the truck here.

Let’S go ahead and pull these off big tires on this thing. One thing you’re going to notice these tires are almost completely like these proline badlands. Almost the same exact tread design, i mean the only thing: that’s different is they’re a little bit taller. Look exactly the same: we’ve got our controller in here with the zip pad. We have to cut that out, there’s your controller because it ties around it. We’Ll set that right here for now all right. So one thing that notorious does come with that the talon doesn’t come with is a wheelie bar it’s got nice wheels on the back they spin pretty free. This truck does look really sick. I love the blue body on it. Everything is pretty much the same. Armor wise as body clips go as they come with these little rubber pieces that come on them. Take the body off new speed, control, v5s and the new new motor on v5 as well got your power and your uh program button right here, metal gears pinion in the spur i have to check out. That feels a little tight that’s fine to me, and one thing that i like about this truck. This truck has a lot of suspension travel. I mean i’m jumping this thing and it’s not going to bottom out like this one. Does this one it’s bottomed out this one, a lot more suspension travel a lot shorter wheelbase than the talon. The talon handles really really well the way it’s set up this one here sits a lot higher.

The center gravity is a lot higher, so this thing’s, going to jump and it’s going to be able to flip it’s, got a lot bigger tires, which is a lot more rotating mass and it’s, going to be able to really spin around the air. So we’re going to see if we can do backflip wise and maybe try some front flips front flips are pretty hard. I’Ve done a few in the talon, but this one i could say it’s going to be a lot. Probably a lot easier to do and we got the uh pretty much the same battery tray as the talon has raise this up put bigger lipos in battery straps. This is pretty much. The same does have a cat pack right here. It’S a capacitor that’s different than the talon has got adjustable body mounts. Naravno, all the shocks are adjustable. It’S got the same sway bars as the talon has let’s look. Underside of the chassis chassis is a lot shorter than the talon is. I mean it’s a lot shorter. This thing’s really going to spin in the air, so that’s pretty much it there’s a v5. As all the v5 changes, Naravno, you’ve got your guards here and the battery tray all right, let’s, take this body off and just give you a quick comparison. Is this is a v4 challenge? It does not have the new uh does not have the new firma, esc and motor in it? Talon is a much longer vehicle than the notorious.

Some things are the same. It’S got the same body supports and that’s about it. So let’s get a battery in this thing, we’re going to put a spectrum battery in it a 6s and we’re going to see what this bad boy can do, Dobro, so we’ve got batteries in the controller we’ll power. This thing up for the first time: Ok, a lot of steering’s really fast. One thing: i noticed this thing just floats on these shocks. It is like riding on a wave all right, so we’re, going to put the body on we’re going to go, run it with the traxxas max all right here we go i’m driving with gloves on, so it feels a little weird drive. This thing around get a feel for it. It is very cold out here. The steering is really fast on this thing, it’s really good. Oh wow! This is completely stocked stock, gearing oh wow. This wheel is really good. It does wheelies, really easy it’s a wheelie monster. Definitely needs a speed. Gear tops out really quick, oh dang, i’d say the suspension is tuned really good. On this tank from out of the box. Try a small jump. Oh my god! That max is just freaking crazy. It jumps really well let’s say we do another. Wheelie, oh my, it says wheelies like crazy. That wheelie bar is so nice. The talon doesn’t have a wheelie bar, so you just ride it on the wing it’s so cold out here: Glazba, O da, it rotates pretty quick, pretty cool, pretty cool.

It does wheelies like crazy, dude it’s got power, it’s got a lot of power. Radio range is good on this one that was sick here comes the dog let’s. Try the big ram sent it. I landed on the front. Did i break it? No yep bent the bumper. I bent the uh bent the bumper already let’s, take a look at him, get back in Music there’s a straight up wheelie! Oh my god. He just wheelies for days i’m. Gon na. Try this big jump again. It does pretty good the bumper’s bent, though this thing needs the speed gear put in it. If i had a speaker put in it’d, probably be perfect it’s harder to rotate than my talon, but that’s, because the talon has a speaker in it that’s insane. I know straight up wheelie across the yard, Glazba. Oh can’t, do a standing back almost almost yeah. I think i broke the bumper on that jump. When i landed wrong, i bent it off. I mean i scented though holy smoke that’s crazy. It just does wheelies for days. It’S it’s really easy to do a wheelie with this thing. God, if this thing had the speed gear in it, it’d be perfect.
