Exclusive! First Look At The Mardave FP1 1/10th F-1 Carbon RC Race Car Chassis.

So what do i think well, To je, very early days, i’ve only just received it now. It was sent to me as a build kit, as it’s number two and the first chassis out of the factory, so i didn’t get to rebuild it, but when you purchase one of these, if you decide to you will have to build it yourself if you purchased It in the first group of orders, you get a body as well like this one, but if you purchase it later on, i think you have to purchase the body uh separately. You have to purchase the tyres and wheels. So what do i think well fit and finish is lovely it’s right up there i’ve just built a brand new schumacher icon formula. One car i’ll, put a link up here, go check that out as well um and the fit and finish between the two is lovely. So that is a massive one uh for marde being that they are now punching well above their weight. So the fp1 specifications are full length. Carbon fiber chassis for increased rear traction, longitudinal stiffness, using a top plate and side brace set adjustable wing mounts position for maximum wing performance fully adjustable front end wheelbase, track width, ride, height camber, caster, damper, tube style, rear damping for damp riding and cornering performance. New big board design capable of managing large bumps and much longer lasting, dampening. This was designed and built by one person which just blows me away is absolutely stunning, so what’s the plan with this well i’m, going to pitch them head to head i’m, big schumacher, fan and i’m loving this from our dave.

So why don’t we just put them both head to head, and that is the plan. So what am i going to do? Pa, i’ve already placed an order for another cevox servo, so i can run the same servos in these also the same receivers, the same esc’s and the same motors. Now the spur gears are different, but we’re going to match them together with the correct pinion, so that we can make it as fair as possible. The another set of these rims and tyres are on order same compounds, so we can run them together. So i can get them as close as possible, so we can take them out at the same time and run them basically straight against each other. Nwo, kao što možete vidjeti, there’s some parts that are very similar like the wings front and rear that’s, because they’re a motec part which i like, because these are the parts that are going to get damaged and the more cars that use these the more chance. You are going to get replacements, so that’s really really nice. Now they look very similar, but the whole chassis are completely different. If i flip them over, you can see just that they are very different. Shoemaker has gone for a much thinner front section and the second deck only extends to about this point, whereas what mardem have done is they’ve run the second deck all the way around to the front and they’ve gone for a much thicker chassis here now, i’ve weighed Both of them at the moment, but you’ve got to take them both with a pinch of salt because they were both got different tyres on them and i think the servos were not exactly the same.

So there’s going to be some weight difference between the two but i’ve just weighed them as they are, but once i’ve fitted all the electronics exactly the same, then we’ll be able to weigh them up and i’ll. Give you a more precise weight compared to the two, but from a fit and finish point of view. They are beautiful bits of engineering and i’m really looking forward to getting them out. Nwo. You have to purchase your wheels and tires separately, obviously that’s the same for both of these so they’re very competitive there’s about a 50 pound difference. This is currently going for 299 pounds, but obviously give or take depending where you shop around and things like that. So they are pitched right at each other, so it’s going to be interesting to find out, and i think they’re both going to perform very well so i’m, really looking forward to finding out and yeah.
