Traxxas Slash Kit Review!!!

All the videos are um on this channel. If you haven’t seen them, go back, look at them um, ali da. I always want to give you a review of this kit, not necessarily of the slash itself, but of the kit and like how long it took me how easy it was to put together um and just it like. If you want to do it yourself, you know just give you a little overview of like what it takes to put this together, um yeah. So i just want to explain to you all the stuff that i experienced what i liked, what i didn’t like um but yeah, but before we get to this video guys make sure you leave a like comment. So i have the truck right here in front of me and then we’re just gon na remove this body. This is just um, like you know the same old, slash body there’s, nothing really to say about this, but we’re. Just gon na take a look and i’m just gon na go around and talk about uh the different things that i like and that i don’t like when i was building this um slash kit um first, actually let me tell you how long it took me. So you guys saw those videos or was it like six parts each of those six parts probably took like each video took like an hour.

Maybe i know like 45 minutes to an hour. Some some of them were like 30 minutes but i’d say ballpark doing this with like hand tool. I did it with the hand tools they provided me with and then even with some of my own hand, tools um. It took me like four to six hours. I don’t know i think somewhere in that range, to build this whole thing, and i took my time i didn’t like rush it. I didn’t try to. I made sure everything was okay um i didn’t try to rush it. I just was doing it at my own pace um. It might have been slow for you guys, ali to je., just how i was doing it, and i also had to find time like in between work and school to be able to do like little parts in it. So um some of those parts i did like late at night, but yeah so that’s, where how long it took me four to six hours. If you guys have like power tools, um it’ll, probably take you a little less because honestly, what took the longest was just screwing in the screws, because some of them were really long. So that’s what took the longest on this, this truck um there’s, not much. I didn’t like about the building the kit. The kit was real, like the instruction manual was really thorough on um what to do and stuff it even gave you like little tips while you were doing stuff like maybe you should put this on before you actually screw.

This on and stuff like that, and then i wouldn’t really read that part. So on some parts i struggled a little bit but um. The instruction manual is very good it’s. It gives you it helps you build um it fast. I mean it it’s easy to follow. Not confusing everything’s laid out clear, you even have like the little screws on the side, so you can measure them it’s like exact the size that’s shown on the sheet. So you can put your screw next to make sure it’s the right screw and stuff like that, because some of the screws say one’s like 14 millimeter long and the other one’s 12 millimeters. You know it’s hard to tell and some people may not may not be able to tell like oh that’s a 14 Milimetar, but you can put it on the page next to the um picture. That shows and measure it up and make sure you have the right. The right screw, what i, what i would recommend doing is, if you have power tools, use them, because this thing will take you. I want to say twice as long i’m. Not even i could have finished this in a day if i would have been using like my power tools, but i wanted to just get the whole experience of using the kit and then a lot of people. Don’T have the power tools. So if you’re building this and you don’t have power tools, i wanted to show you what it looked like.

It does take a while, but i mean you can do it it’s easy you could not. You could still knock it out in a day with the hand tools, but with the power tools. You can knock it out like in an afternoon like just a few hours, and you can knock this whole thing out so painting’s a different story, because you know you have to obviously wait for that to dry and stuff, but like just building this right here, what You see in front of me is um that won’t that will only take like a day if you actually just sit down do this all day and then, if you have power tools, you know an afternoon just a few hours to do this, but it was pretty Easy like if, if you’re, if you’re younger and you want to like kind of get to know, rc’s and how they work, this would be a good way to start because the process of building it is easy. And then you also get to learn like all the gears that are into it, because you put like the differential together and stuff like that. So you learn how all the gills work gears work and stuff like that. You also get to build it and then, when you uh finally do build it like it’s, a good first rc car, like the tracks, like the slash two wheel drive, is a perfect rc car even brush this one’s brushless, but even brushed it’s a it’s, a perfect First rc car, so it gives you some experience in rcs building them how they work and stuff like that.

This is obviously a simple. Only two wheel drive four wheel drive, you know is different, but still even just seeing how a two wheel drive works will give you um and building. It will give you a much better understanding of how all rc’s work, um it’s, very good. For someone that’s young, you know i just wanted to do it because i never built a kit or anything before so i thought it’d be pretty cool to just build one and get some experience building it. I knew i knew how, like all this stuff worked, but it was cool. It was a cool experience, just building it, even if you’re older, it’s a cool if you’ve never built a kit before and you’ve, always just bought, ready to run it’s a cool experience, building it and then actually driving your final product that you built um from not From scratch, but you know you put everything together: nothing was put together for you, so yeah that was cool, but i just want to give you a little walk around. I haven’t cleaned this off. Since the last time i took it out, i took it out um a few days ago. I didn’t film it or anything i just want to have some fun. Do some more testing, um (1998, To je, it’s durable, i mean it’s it’s attracts his slash. I mean it’s not going to break i’ve haven’t broken anything yet knock on wood, but i really like it.

I really like it. The kit is easy. Instructions are easy to follow, so that’s going to be it for this video guys. I just want to tell you like how good i would definitely recommend this. Even if your experience in rc and you haven’t built this it’s pretty cool to build, you just see all the parts, all the parts are separated at first and then put them all together and it’s, pretty cool that it works and it drives and it’s actually a Functional rc car that you could bash and stuff like that, so i just want to give you a little overview of that. I hope you guys go and pick yourself up one, because it was definitely worth it. It was definitely worth it all right.
