Okay. What we have here is the hsp, 94 955 code, name, etc, etc from banggood.com and as you can see here, it is ready to run so check it out. It’S, a beautiful little vehicle has the right, 8k eighth scale stance, wide low, big wing and, if you’re not familiar with eight scale, buggies what they do well is they run on a track very well, especially a track with a lot of jumps. You know they’ll set up, jump and they’ll fly in the air. You can adjust your attitude and whatnot and get around the track very fast. So the very popular buggies in the last decade are kyosho and mugen mp, five six seven. I think they’re up to ten. Now but those things are about 1200 bucks, you know 700 bucks for the kid. Then you have to buy a motor and and um radio, and you very quickly get up there lipo battery. They quickly get up over a thousand bucks. They have the ready to run versions, i believe they’re 500 to 600 bucks. So this is an option for you to try for 315 dollars. I said: hey, i got ta. Try that out. Why not? Okay, so i’ve run it maybe five times already uh track in the backyard uh bashing around with a bunch of guys doing oval, oval racing and i’ve gotten a pretty good feel for it. So what do you get for the money? So you get the buggy complete nice body, you get a lipo battery 7.
4 volts and you get a transmitter like this pretty basic and a charger. A charger uh, i believe, it’s, a 110 charger it’s got a. Unfortunately it’s got a weird plug to a circle plug. So not us but it’s, easy yeah. You just need that that that cord that plugs into the charger with a us plug and there you go so you’re – really ready to run just you just need four double a’s and you’re off and running, and the vehicle certainly looks the part. It looks well assembled nicely painted beautiful paint on this one and checking it over. Nothing has come loose. The shocks have oil perfectly filled a little more preload here than here, so i got ta make an adjustment there. Let me see the rear yep, not bad. Stabilizer bars, the tires are pretty darn good, so it has that pattern. The you know close knob stiff knob, so it can grip a lot of surfaces carpet and dirt. It’S, not the super sticky stuff, but it seems pretty durable low profile. Oh things, getting loose low profile, well supported, so stabilizer bar, as i said, the and then let’s take this cover off it’s on right now, so you might hear a little buzzing noise, and here we go it’s complete servo battery, give it a little beating on the Underside everything is assembled pretty nicely. The motor is right here, i’m, not sure what size is. It looks like a 550, 2s or 3s has a switch right here.
You can access it while the body is on and a battery like this one 2s. Unfortunately, even though this is a 3s capable machine, so give you a little show and tell whoa whoa whoa the steering, not bad huh and then the little punch. So this is a 3s pretty scary, huh, so scary, but not too much. You know not like my monster trucks, so at 2s, so this battery by the way it looks okay, it’s kind of light 25c. So not a high discharge rate. They say 3 900 at ’00 milli amp hours, but when i discharged it fully and recharged, it only took 3 500. So this is really like a 3 500. with the 2s. This goes 44 kilometers per hour, which is 27 miles an hour and with the 3s that i have here like i demonstrated it goes 40 miles an hour 63 kilometers per hour. They claim uh, i think, 63 to 80 kilometers per hour and that’s. Just simply not true, i mean this is as good as it gets and it’s 40 miles an hour. So with this with this, with the gearing they supply right, so the servo looks pretty good fairly fast. It’S got some torque um servo saver somewhere, oh yeah, serviceable right there it’s got a fan on the esc, got a switch right here as like, as i said, you can access it. While the body is on and that’s about it. So we rallied with a mojave with a creighton and a arma vortex and it did pretty well.
You know it took a few hits, but it survived the challenge. Let’S see if it modulates the the radio Laughter, it’s, quiet and it’s smooth, so it’s got brakes. So pretty good, you know, i think there’s parts and amazon i saw and at banggood as well i’m, not sure the extensiveness of the parts. Obviously amazon is better, since you can get it pretty quickly. I think the ship from the us as well. You can either ship from china or the us and this ship from the us. So in two days you can have it by the way links in our description. We’Ll have a coupon code too, so oh nice and stiff on the wing. So what are the downsides? So the downside is the the my stabilizer bar on the left. Didn’T have a clip or it got disassembled right away, so easy enough to fix. The radio is a little flaky. Sometimes you know when i turn on the transmitter after the receiver, it doesn’t bind sometimes sometimes it does all my other radios you could do. You could do receiver first transmitter second and it’s fine, this one it’s particular about transmitter first and sometimes it doesn’t quite bind. So another thing is: we took a couple hits this: this car went upside down a couple times and the body upon further inspection, uh took a b it’s, getting torn and really a body election body. Should it shouldn’t tear like this it’s tearing like paper here too.
So it’s not a very strong body. I think this is a pretty standard body, so you can get any any old body from from a main and it should work here and i can you could uh salvage this. Basically, what can we do with this? Put some gorilla tape: some some sugar or whatnot give it some longevity, but there you go. Um let’s see what else any other weaknesses. Motor doesn’t have a heat, sink no fan, but it seems fine, oh 2s. They really should have shipped this with 3s. I get a lot of the machines now from from china and they have a a 3s battery off off the bat. So not bad, so i’ll run it on my track tomorrow. Just to give give you some some edits but um. Why not huh? You know what he called this eighth scale buggy for around 300 bucks with battery and charger thanks. A ton here is a running video. We are going to take it into two venues. One is an oval track: armor mojave, traxxas, gdr and armor vortex. This hsp1 8th buggy is right there in the mix and what’s cool is it’s keeping up Music with these other vehicles. We are running it on 3s, of course, so much more fun Music. This eight scale bucky. It will do much better if there’s a bunch of jumps and turns, but it just kind of shows you, the the sweet spot, the big sweet spot of this vehicle easily, the cheapest of these vehicles.
These are 9 8 900 vehicles, except for the vortex, and this hsp buggy is only 315. and the bonus is. It comes with battery and charger already. We just wish they shipped this vehicle with a 3s battery instead of a 2s, so we only ran it with a 2ds get its full potential 2s. It does ok easier to drive, but not what 8 scale buggy is all about Music. You can see how well this thing jumps so enjoy the running. Video good tires. The motor is not that punchy, you know, but it makes it easier and worth noting after five packs, we didn’t break anything Music, pretty nice, but we had a track with big jumps which we hope to take to in the next couple weeks. I think this vehicle will perform even better uh, yes, Music, Music, Music, please Music uh. So so there you go we’ll close with some detailed shots here the tires pretty darn nice tires. It reminds us of the old pro lines we used to race with big shocks. Threaded aluminum threaded here’s, the undercarriage all aluminum very nice profile, fits the part. Nothing fancy, of course just a copy, but as well. The power cord is not quite us made, but it’s easy. You can just get a replacement and still use the charger.
