Why is that important body clips are just a pain in the butt, even in the big vehicles, but in the small vehicles, sono, even more painful, because you have a tiny, tiny body clip and you have to thread it through a needle. Fondamentalmente, and if you have four of those and they’re in there in odd spots, it’s even harder so axel, does you want better by just giving you one body body post, so you just have to do it one time and you have a little handle on it. So what it allows you to do is it lowers. The vehicle lowers the center of gravity uh quite a bit. The bumper is slower, l'uh, whatever the belly lowers, but those are all fairly out of the way anyway, it doesn’t affect where your pumpkins are. ok. The next thing it does really well is the gearing seems just right, so it modulates um it’s got enough torque and so it’s able to get over obstacles really cool and notice. It doesn’t run away once it’s done done with the obstacle a lot of vehicles. You have to give it so much throttle, and so when you, when you, when you get past it, you just fall off the rock or fall off the cliff, and actually this is one of the key strengths of actual okay. That and its good steering radius are key. So when you’re talking desk crawling, the axle is actually one of the best at it um, because you don’t have a lot of space.
You need a lot of control and look at it. I would say number one is when you get into high performance crawling um, you could give it a little bit of forward weight.
Low weight um that way, Se sei, finding you’re you’re not able to climb just a little bit um. One thing you can do is you can chase, put a little brass here on your pumpkin and it will improve it quite a bit there you go. If you want some heavier wheels, maybe put it in the front that will lower your center gravity and give you a little more forward weight. The other thing is the weakness of all these vehicles, except for this, this panda so there’s an element rc uh a hobby plus is they are not them. So the shocks are uh. Just ball pen ball pen spring dampers, so you get a lot of bounce um. So if you can somehow slow this down, it will do a lot for your performance, because how does this help you you’re, basically just not very stable? So in some situations um, you are very steep, the the front, tire sinks and you just tumble over okay. But if you could have a little bit of damping, it’s gon na settle, settle it won’t, be there won’t, be any violent movements that will unsettle the vehicle and how you do that is you put some the most common way you should put grease in the shocks. Uh heavy grease because they’re not perfectly sealed, you can’t put oil on them, because the uh the shocks are are not built well enough and they’re so tiny that they they can’t, hold the oil.
So you just try to put some stuff in there. That’S going to stay and you can do grease green slime where’s. My green slime somewhere here, which is what you put on on bushings shock bushings, to keep the oil in or differential fluid. So heavy diff fluid like a uh uh, 10 Milioni 1 Milioni 10 million diff fluid. You know just something: oh this, so this uh this has had. So this is a diff fluid inside. So you’ll notice the shock still activate, but it doesn’t balance. It’S got some other stuff going on here. I think i put a little bit of weight in the front tires, so so that’s a modification you can do another modification. You can do i’m, not sure you could improve a lot on these tires. They’Re very good, maybe put a little foam in them. These tires and wheels are, are built in so you’d have to replace the wheels too so that’s a little bit hard to do. You could change your wheels to two bead locks have options there. I know some people who change the motor makes results on that. Uno. Oh for sure. One thing you could do so a weakness of this vehicle is is all these plastic parts. You know they’re they’re kind of uh it’s it’s, like a cantilevered steering design. That has a lot of slop, so if you can remove that slop with with 3d printed parts or aluminum parts that will that will improve this quite a bit, so it already has good steering it’s just a little bit too loose.
ok, so radio, you can’t, really improve the radio on this. Some people do a steering servo called um. I forgot what it’s called but i’ll link in the description, so plenty good from from the get go uh, but if you want to improve it even more there’s ways, but what’s really cool about these. This vehicle uh is everything you do. Courses driving is the same as the big vehicles, so it’s real crawling there’s enough modulation enough control in steering that you learn a lot it’s all the same concepts and the great thing is you can do it indoors right in the winter um on your desk, you’re You’Re working from home right uh in a zoom call little do they know you’re smiling because you’re like just don’t.
