I don’t know eight or nine ten inches. So i thought why not it’s a sunday really nothing going on. Why not do a little bit of a review of a dcp truck or, as some might know, what dcp is it’s a die cast promotions truck, così reale, quick you’re going to see what i’d like to do is i’d like to start doing maybe one a week. Umm, you know i do do the die cast. Ancora. I still got the die cast, but my crack addiction, if you will, is the diecast promotions or dcp trucks. These are fantastic don’t, mind the characters in the way i’m. Just trying to show you some of my collection here and then i got those and then we come over here and i got them up here, not all dcp in there there’s. Some like this is a uh that’s, a green light, that’s a green light, that’s a green light, but mostly dcp trucks and also down here. So i probably i probably get about one or two trucks a year only because they’re so expensive um. But this is the one i got this year, which is one of those called big rigs it’s, the gray and red one right there with the monster trucks on obviously the monster trucks. Didn’T come with it. Those are green, light monster trucks, but anytime i get a flatbed. I like to go ahead and put stuff on them like up here.
You get the tractors and the hay baler and stuff like that. So let me uh i’m gon na pause. This real quick, i’m gon na take that large car magazine truck up and uh we’re gon na do a little bit of an in deal in detailed review all right. So here we are in studio 1a or whatever you want to call it uh. I got better lighting here with a nice white background, got my cup of coffee, my christmas mug. So for those of you who don’t know this is what diecast promotions tractor trailers come in box wise. So you see diecast promotions. 164.. These little stickers here were just from the guy that i bought it from um how he kept track of what was what um, underneath here you’ll see this now you’ll see. questo 2011 is when this truck was was issued. Ertl was the parent company. Uh item number 32572: this truck, Credo, is a peterbilt let’s, see yeah it’s a peterbilt i’m, not sure exactly what it is: i’m thinking it’s a 359 but it’s you would almost. You would have to really look up that kind of information. Um there’s a couple different websites out there that give a lot of different in details about every different casting. You have four different series of trucks. You know one two, three and four, obviously uh, one being the probably the most detailed, four being the least detailed um. You know all of them have rubber tires um, but series one will actually have a removable cab.
Umm, oh hold on a minute die cast cabin trailer, one of the series: ok, Sì, detailed cab, sleeper and trailer interior – that i believe, series one. You can actually lift the top of the the cab of the truck off um. I think i may have one of those i don’t really care about that. questo, Credo, is a series two, and this is very, Molto, very in detail for me so um. It comes obviously with the box. This is a clam shell, uh plastic case, so it keeps the truck nice and protected it’s got all the the different uh ways to keep the truck from moving um so that it’s, nice and tight in there. So if you’re gon na ship it or just pack it away or whatever so um, let me see what i can do here. If i can do it, one handed we’ll, do it one handed um now, a few years ago, diecast promotions was bought out by first gear, Umm sono, not a huge first gear fan only because their trucks are so big but thankfully hold on i’m gon. Na put this down all right so, come dicevo, fortunatamente, first gear decided to stay true to the diecast promotions, Scala, 1 and 64th and just continue on with um. Just awesome: awesome diecast vehicles. So if you look here the clamshell, it is two pieces front and back and it’s molded. The top piece is molded to go around the bottom piece, so that really everything in here is is not movable.
So when you pull these out, you want to be careful because they are in there pretty good. The trailers are not as fragile as the trucks. Ovviamente, the trucks have a lot of uh small pieces like uh the exhaust stacks um mirrors mud, flaps steps stuff, Così. So let’s get that out of the way. ora, every almost well everyone that i’ve ever seen that i i have comes with an extra set of mirrors, so it shows you how easy it is to break those mirrors off. I personally have never had mirrors break, but i don’t move mine around a lot. Infatti, i get a little nervous doing what i’m doing now, but i do want to get this out and i do want to do some some very in detail. Reviews of these vehicles um this truck was a truck you can see this is made. This is an older truck with the with the air dam on top for large car magazine, which is a magazine obviously about tractor trailers, c'è, probably maybe three or four of the large car magazine, uh tractor trailers there’s this one there’s, a blue one. It looks just like it, i know there’s a cab over with a brenner um tanker on the back, which is probably the same color as this one. So so some of the features with this truck is the front axle is steerable. It’S got two different settings right. Two different settings left so that you can put it in different steering positions.
The hood opens to reveal a very very in detail. Let me turn my light on very in detail. Engine um just a lot of detail in there and again you can see the the different positions that the tires can be in from above now, it’s supposed to be two sometimes it’s. Only one like this one going to the left is only one position. This one going to the right has the two don’t force it whatever it is. It is um because you’re going to end up breaking something, so the hood closed let’s turn the light back off. Effettivamente, the light being on worked pretty good. So you come down here in the truck you can’t really see inside it too well um, but you can see that there’s the seats are in there um it is. It is detailed in there it’s hard to see, but um you see, the steering wheel looks like it’s got some different, color interior in there, so you got the nice straight tall exhaust stacks on it. Like i said you get the the wind dam there, um cerchiamo di, take the trailer off real quick, come around the back. You have the pogo stick with all of the air hoses these these are actual hoses, so these aren’t just paint these aren’t just little plastic pieces. Questi sono, these are uh. They actually feel like rubberized hoses, che è piuttosto cool, ma ancora una volta, Molto, very fragile. So you get your chrome step plate there.
You got your fifth wheel, lo fa. Pivot goes up and down back in the front in the back, it’s got the mud flaps on it. Large car magazine got your tail lights, bring it around to this side. This side, Ovviamente, is pretty much exactly like the other side. Nice chrome, air filters on both sides: it’s chrome, step box, chrome, fuel tanks, nice sleeper, take a look at the front: chrome headlights, chrome, Paraurti, chrome, grille, just just a beautiful, beautiful truck all right. Così ora, we’ll come back here. Noi! Look at the trailer! This obviously is not a 53 foot, rimorchio, probabilmente un 48 foot trailer. It has a thermal king reefer on it, which is pretty cool pretty in detail. You got your connections right there flip it around. You got your doors, the doors, almost all the doors do open. On the trailers, i think i have maybe one or two where the doors don’t open, um they weren’t made to open, but even the inside of the trailer is really really in detail, looks like there’s. Effettivamente, this actually looks like the wood siding that you would see inside the trailer it’s got the deck there, and just just even the top. It looks like it looks like what you would actually see inside an actual trailer on a tractor trailer. They put a lot of work in a lot of detail. di nuovo, you got your mud flats with the large car magazine logo.
In there, top of the trailer is just a just. A silver silver trailer same thing over here chrome wheels, get your fuel tank for the for the reefer flip it over. Here it comes with a spare tire and extremecustomtoys.com, i guess is who had these? This is series number three so, come ho detto, c'è, either three or four of these um that were made in the series, so it um just a really cool cool truck, and this is diecast promotions made in china. Naturalmente,, it’s got a lot of suspension. You’Ve got your drive, shafts there’s the front, the motor there’s, your steer, steerable axle and a lot of these trucks will have actual suspension on them. Quindi di nuovo, these are not toys. By any stretch of the imagination. Some of these trucks i’ve seen go for thousands um. This particular truck is probably i don’t, know two three hundred dollars um. It is an older truck, Credo, è 2011 and they retire their vehicles too, so they’ll make a certain amount of them. A lot of these trucks only make a couple hundred of them. So when you see it, if it’s a decent price grab, it um and uh and that’s pretty much it so it’s also came back back then this is obviously out of um out of date and it’s not going to work, but it would come with this thing That you could fill out and they would they would send you updates and stuff like that.
Quindi di nuovo, i want to try to do maybe a truck a week. I got probably 53 O 54 Camion, so we could have the whole year of different diecast promotion, trucks and uh. Let me know in the comments what you like, if you saw one, that i showed you real quick that you want to see put it in the send me a message in the comments and maybe i’ll make that one, the next one we do all right.
