Panther platform is awesome. Body on frame construction and solid rear axle are the main features for me. This makes them tough and perfect for when the zombies attack. BOF means the interior is rattle free. My ex-service Crown Vic has been beat to heck and the interior does not squeak or rattle.
One of the best vehicles ever made. nuff' said.
I had a 2001 mercury grand marquis as my first car that was from florida for $3,000 and 50k miles. We shipped up to NY and I LOVED IT. I lived on Longisland and they are very good with clearing snow, so i knew that RWD wouldn't be an issue. If it ever got that bad, i took my mothers SUV.
This car never gave me issues besides the normal tear shock absorbers and ball joints. I put 65k miles on that car before I sold it. I sold it for $2500 and it was still in show case condition. The car was originally garaged in FL and I always washed/waxed the thing frequently. I had to sell it because I was driving more in NYC and it was a pain to parallel park it in tight spots… That thing was good for potholes and rough roads. It surely dulled out the road imperfections.
I then got a out-of-lease 2016 camry hybrid a year ago. As much as i missed my MGM, i dig my gas mileage in my new car. I get 43mpg combined now as opposed to 16mpg in my MGM. I do miss the soft suspension in my old car and the overall handling (I replaced my old shocks with stiffer police shocks). The grand marquis was much more stable at highway speed when switching lanes or swerving. Im not sure if it had to do with the RWD, or that I added stiffer shocks, but i truly miss it!
Lol.. "A bus load of nuns"
What's up with that flashing silo 🤷🏾♂️🍿🤔
Mio 1985 town car is only at 70,000 miles. 5.0 with throttle body injection, antique fords all the way.
Lincoln is the best!
I want a Lincoln Town Car…STICK transmission!
Bella macchina!
I own and operate a taxi company in Maine, I currently have 6 cars in my fleet. 2 TC 07 E 10
3 marquis…05/09/11
And my service/personal car a black on black 2011 CVPI. I dread the day I can't find a ford full size RWD v8 sedan. A friend recently retired an 09 TOWN CAR EXECUTIVE L
black on black bought new used for his livery service. This car is in incredible shape…maintained to highest standards and when he took the plates off it yesterday the odometer just clicked over to 750k…all original. He sent me a screen shot of the instrument cluster because I didn't believe it had 750k…Lol…it does.
Guy said I need a Mass. air sensor but I live in Vermont. Qualsiasi consiglio? :~)
Ummm….No.
Mafia car
Really miss my towncar
THe Full Size Ford Cars of this Era have three problems
1 – There is a problem with the Transmission/Torque Converter – which develops a "CHUGGLE" – which often is helped by using the latest Ford Fluid for the Trans – but if Your Vehicle already us Chuggling – it will require a torque Converter replacement with a valve body (Trans) replacement – this is Common but easy to identify
2 – The LINCOLNS use an air suspension – and when they fail – the body falls near to the ground – and this is a costly replacement. IF you can get a Lincoln without the Air Suspension they are better but were very few – you are better off with a Crown Vic/Mercury in this case
3 – The most common larger repairs are Alternators and Power Steering leaks. The alternator could probably be replaced by a Trump – so anyone who can identify it – can replace it however – the power steering leaks can sometimes be Rack and Pinion Leaks which can cost money if you cannot do it yourself.
If american cars are so great, why ford wont make them anymore? German cars everywhere around word, yet american one only in america. And yes german cars are build for people who know how to deal with them- petrol heads. So if you dont know how to deal with car you own maybe just buy bus ticket?
I love your videos, but from most of your stories about car problems people look like dumb hillbilies. Feels like they dont know how to use spanner.
Aivaras from Europe
I got 99’ with 85,000 on it I’m 42 so basically I never have to buy another car. Miles are all original no re build really laced the in take manifold because that model had an issue wit it and I live in Ga. so the temp kills rubber and plastic also replaced the battery and a belt. Also replaced the bags it not really even broken in good.
6:01 So what club do you use on your JN Town Car putting green ? 😀
I love these panther II platforms, I drive a 2003 grand marquis gs. Everything works great, looking to sell it just to buy a newer one.
He added an inch in his height 🤣 then switched it up mid-word
Go get one for myself I won't regret it, ma ho 04 merc grand Marquis GS the engine is brock
I have one(2004) Con 610.000 and another one(2008) Con 470.000
Both of them looks better than lot of few years old… I just changed a battery a few days ago… 😀 I love them!
I had a 1979 MK-V (Mark-5) and a 1979 Lincoln Town Car,you can't go wrong with either one of these cars,a million miles is quite possible in either model. Both cars feature the large bell C-6 automatics in them and are built like tanks!!.
This guy cracks me up. We need to see him do more car reviews.
Crown Vic police cruisers are still around, albeit getting fewer and fewer where I am in the Orlando area.
i just got 2007 town car here in canada 211,000 km nice car
My goodness. How did they keep the rust off? Ho un 2000 grand marquis has 216600 miles and the rust is finally starting to bubble around the fenders.
Seamless edits….. Totally can't tell every 3-10 seconds there's another clip.
Too bad all these cars are driven by old grannies that can't handle the size. Can't tell you how many times I've seen a Panther doing a 83 point parking job
Nice you almost convinced me to go buy one, and i think I will…
Incredibly poor air conditioning system. 👎😕 The AC fan on high was so weak it couldn't keep my 2011 TC cool on an 85 degree day..which even the cheapest Hyundai car can do. By comparison..my 1982 Lincoln Continental Mark VI could keep my interior 60 degrees on a 100+ degree and humid summer day. It's AC fan was so powerful you had to wear hairspray to keep it from moving your hair and you felt it could literally freeze you. If it wasn't for this issue..I would be driving that 2011 TC today..but can't since I live in a hot and humid southern state. And yes..the car was running properly and was mechanic checked for issues. Plus..other 2011 TC's I've driven had the same problem. No thanks!
I loved the ending with that wonderful Ford V8 sound!
Ho un 89 lincoln town car limo with 489.000 miles and it has the same drive train and still runs… but had to take it off the road due to the frame being to rusty… These panther platforms was the best in my opinion ford ever built.!!! Thanks for sharing.!!!
It's not an "Executive Package"..Executive was the base Town Car trim level..They had a L for Livery package which actually was a longer wheel base model..I think that is what the guy meant to say.. So the trim levels were as follow..for 2003 Comunque, Executive, Signature and Cartier…as well as Ultimate….The older edition his other Town Car had he mentioned was a Jack Nicklaus Edition which was a dealer installed package not an actual model or trim level..They had many dealer installed "Editions" like Palm Beach edition and even a Presidential Town Car Edition! I have owned over 10 Town Cars…Li amo…and they are like he said, one of the easiest cars to work on!!
Hey people the Ford Panther platform is the best car they ever made For thirty years we love em . 2012 Comes were going to stop making them boo ford, six years later fords not making cars period hmmmmm what happened ?
2001 Con 91000 on it for 2.000 good deal?
I love my two Panthers, 2003 E 2011 P7B with the GT 4.6 engine. Very easy to work on and great cruisers 🙂
Ho un 2011 town car with 415787 miles on it original trans and engine most reliable car I ever owned and I'm a mechanic

Ford = trash
Oh hello I'm from GB
I daily drive a 97 town car in NYC! Sweet ride. Terrible parking tho 😂
Grazie, I have been eyeballing a 2007 town car with 79,000 miles, a real cream puff……asking 7 grand… see what I can get them down to. Although I would pay the seven , just because I want one.
