I got one of these silly little trucks, Così 110 route shop had one. I was jacking around his garage with it and uh it’s kind of fun, especially on a slick garage floor. It it actually is kind of fun to drive it drifts and stuff right out of the box on this hard painted wood surface here, it’s way too much traction it’s, not really good for much of nothing, but this interesting little thing. So this thing this is some special edition that came with three batteries um. He picked it up for me, Uh. Era come 60 Dollari. I think it. It comes with two extra batteries here, end of story um. I got these little lenses, i didn’t paint or do nothing. I didn’t do any stickers or nothing. I don’t know what i’m gon na do with it. Yet i never know what i’m gon na do with it. Obviously i want to slam it, but you know the bed is the issue with this i’ve spent a lot of time staring at his um. The front would be pretty easy. The suspension and stuff kind of i mean the independent front. We’Ll show more of that here. In a little bit, the interior would be fairly easy to cut and modify and still appear scale the beds just the problem all around. So i don’t know what to do with it: it’s kind of cool, just a little parts runner in the trunk.
I don’t like this gray, bronze color but that’s what these came. As with the extra batteries. I call it silver, oh and it sounds like the horn when you get on the gas honk Applause, so i don’t know it’s kind of cool. We got working headlights that’s about it. It’S got a solid rear. Axle leaf springs in the rear, independent front, with a torsion bar, slash, paperclip suspension, um basic little controller here, it’s kind of rubberized coating, easy to hold, says truck on it. Little k trucks i don’t. I don’t know i just can’t believe the prices these bring, especially over here i’ve seen a few. I mean there’s been some sitting around in people’s yards for sale, since i was a little kid and they still want four or five thousand dollars for them like why. I mean i don’t know i just don’t get it. I don’t think honestly, i could fit in it from being 630, but who knows so? I put on the mirrors uh, it does come, did come with actual chrome metal inserts for the mirrors, which is a nice touch, the little side, marker lights up on the the b pillar and the little headache rack and a little box on the bottom Applause. A little box under the under the bed there on the drivers or passenger side. Sorry so tires are nice feeling rubber. Effettivamente, they feel solid, it’s hard to tell that they have quite a bit of grip to them.
Bello, looking silver, steel, Ruota, Uh, so let’s flip. It over and look at the bottom, so it’s a scale design, Telaio, è, two rails, come ho detto, leaf spring rear that’s your standard wpl crawler axle in the rear, independent front. It has a thin torsion bar that goes across the top of that i’m. Guessing from the way the steering’s not bad, i don’t know that it has an actual servo. I think it has one of those little motor geared units it’s got a little tiny motor and some really brittle gears. The part that kills me about this truck is they make everything metal. You can get metal axle, better leaf, springs, Metallo, Telaio, rails, Metallo, Trasmissione, gearbox housing, metal controller. I mean it’s just silly. You could spend a few hundred dollars on this 60 truck and completely build. You a new truck but um. I mean it’s kind of cool underneath it’s, one of those things that you really think looking at it and the price stuff you just want to hate it, but there’s just something about it: it’s kind of cool that’s. Perché? I got one um: the battery compartment is a really neat design again something else that would be in the way of trying to slam it. You turn the spare tire one way or another another, and it opens up access your little tiny battery. Those are like a dual double a size does say: 500 milliamp, 7.4 suspension on it’s, pretty springy the body is is hard body, it is pretty thin.
The cab is better than the bed. The bed is very, very thin. Cab has a little bit of give to it. I was trying to push this on the back and the whole cab was a pillar. The b pillar were both pushing forward, so a little be a little careful with that, but um yeah it’s actually a neat little thing for not a whole lot of money and it is tenth scale. So it does kind of fit with everything else in the scale garage well, in a very unexpected turn of events, i have a box of wpl parts. I forgot about um back when we did my little wpl hilux, which i still never actually ran. I just painted it up nice and it sits on the shelf and looks pretty um. I used parts from the kit and an rtr for that, and the kit version that i got was a flatbed and it came smashed. So nothing ever happened with that, but i have a set of brand new off road tires and wheels, which will bolt straight to this fits this hub exactly same thing as that crawler, so i don’t know. Maybe we could do a little lift. Put some little mud tires on it, let’s see what we can do. Purtroppo, we wouldn’t be able to reuse the steel wheels because they cheated and we’ve got a nice scale wheel on the outside, but the inside is plastic and big and has no lip.
These are actual glue on wheels like regular rc cars, so that’s why these feel so firm because it’s, just rubber stretched over plastic. So i don’t know. Let me look at this think about it, see how much work it would take to actually lift it rear, probably not a problem. Umm, we could probably just add some bigger leaf, springs the front. I don’t know because it’s pretty maxed out how it sits all right. So going through the entire spares bin had this rig. This was a 1 16 scale or something something or another rock crawler, a pretty basic wpl style chassis, not quite the same, but pretty much the same, but again the exact wheelbase, pretty close to it. That really nice body, but i just i didn’t – want to make anything that small, but again more parts here for this stuff i didn’t realize i had. I really don’t want to make it four wheel drive. I don’t want to make the full conversion, and just because pretty much i’m just gon na take the chassis off and bolt something like this on it and that’s. I don’t know this doesn’t run this runs so i don’t know we’ll see. I guess i need to pull the chassis off and start kind of looking at what we’re working with here, because otherwise, really all you’re doing is just swapping that body onto something else and it’s, not even the same car anymore. But who knows let’s play around Music, Musica, Musica, Musica, così la musica, Applausi, Applausi, Musica, Applausi, Musica, Applausi, Musica, Applausi, Musica, Applausi, Musica, Applausi musicali, Oh sì, va bene ragazzi, Così, Musica, not a whole lot of torque big tires, probably don’t help um turn this thing off this Stupid thing, it’s cool – i see why everybody likes them now.
I didn’t get it at first, but it’s pretty neat. So let me overview here what we did, which wasn’t much took the spare tire off the bottom, because it kind of did a body lift on the bed, so i really wanted to lift it. Um these tires came off the wpl, the little toyota hilux and the ones i had spare are way softer that’s. What i was carrying here – these are just super super soft and the ones that came on the rtr are really firm, so swap to those on here, because the other ones – i probably couldn’t, even keep on the wheel – and these wheels were already painted black. Only permanent modification i did was was widening out the wheel arches a little bit in the front just to help with turning um. It does rub a little bit still but that’s part of the fun of it, and then i went to put the bed on and realized. The bed was sitting too low and it was gon na. It was hitting this lip right here because they are a little bit wider, so there’s very little travel anyway. I used some. Those are probably eight mil aluminum spacers m3 stuff, and i just ran some long. I think those are m2 or two and a half bolts and uh yeah, just body lift the bed took the front wheel arch out because it wasn’t really centered. It was closer to the tire and hitting so yeah nothing permanent.
But i like the way it looks at the black wheels, makes the color look a little bit better to me, but i don’t know i i’ve never i’ve kind of avoided these little trucks. I never really looked at them or watched any videos about them, and then i did all this stuff. Last night, the majority of this video and then today i looked at some stuff to see what was out there for them, E, Oh, Mio Dio, all the drift stuff is so cool. The body kits and the little little drift tires, and that would be really cool. This thing so underpowered it’s, going to be useless off road sort of a full electronics and drivetrain upgrade, so the drift thing might be kind of cool it’s, just a little garage ripper. Like i said in the beginning, i played with it at 110 rod shop in his garage and the stock tires, even once they get dusty. It just drifts around and it’s kind of fun kind of goofy, ma um. I don’t know comment below what you would want to do with this thing i don’t know yet the drift stuff is really cool, c'è, just so much 3d printed stuff for this it’s it’s freaking awesome and uh yeah i’ve seen some really cool weathered ones as well. People really gone crazy on this it’s it’s kind of cool. What you can do, i mean it’s scale but it’s still affordable, it’s still cheap cheaply made not horribly unreliable.
They’Ve made a lot of improvements. I’Ve had several wpl rigs over the years i mean this. Has a servo for steering um it’s, not a four wheel, drive so there’s, not a whole lot of extra cheap stuff going on to make it four wheel drive – and i i didn’t want to do that. I have several of these little chassis floating around. I could swap it over and make it four wheel drive, but it sets so tall and it just and they’re all four length, chassis and the shocks of course are just springs. There’S no oil field dampening so there’s a rabbit hole. I didn’t want to go down yet, but i like the look of it right now. It makes a good little shot. Hauler uh brainstorm is some paint ideas, be cool to do like a shop logo or something on it and make it like an actual little parts. Truck put license plates on it and uh yeah just have some fun with it, but um yeah i’m gon na wrap it up here guys. I appreciate y’all watching um keep scale have fun with whatever you got, doesn’t have to be a 700 Rc. Quattro ruote, drive rig or a full custom scratch build.
