I've waited 10 YEARS for this TRAXXAS! The only one I ever wanted, you'll love it too!

So about 10 years ago i saw a video and i was like i want one of them and i never got one it just get just kept getting pushed down the pile and then in around 2015, maybe 2016. I had the chance to get one, but i got an armor outcast instead and it’s completely different to an outcast, but i was kind of swayed towards getting an outcast for the kind of truck i wanted. I’Ve got one today, let’s get it straight out of the box. I don’t want to keep you waiting any longer and let’s have a look at it. I suppose it could be classed as a bit of a veteran now being about 10 years old it’s. This is one of the new colors at the summit. I believe we’re doing orange as well it’s on the box over there. My daughter chose the purple and she made a good choice because it looks awesome anyway.

Let’S get a bit closer to this let’s talk about what i’m going to do with it and then i’m going to get some batteries in it and we’re going to take it out, just for an initial run, see how it performs and and then we’ll go from There 100, that is not one tenth scale. I don’t care what anyone says. That is not one tenth, and i know this has been our 80s and loads of people have said the same it’s one eighth scale. It’S got to be one eighth scale: um i’m, not gon na put it next to any of the one temp stuff because, like i say, it’s been done to death, but what an awesome looking traxxas! Oh, it pains me sometimes to say that, but i think, though, i’m slowly being turned it’s awesome. The transmitters for tracks is always pretty good. You got switches on there, you got a switch there, probably for your gearbox and the link app and stuff on the back. You fit a wireless module in there. I am so glad i have finally got a summit and it looks amazing in that purple. So it’s got a big 775 tighter motor under there. You can actually get a dual setup for this, but big titan 775 you’ve got the evx 2 up to 16.8 volts. You can run this on 4s all day twin, steering servos a couple of servos there for your front and rear, locking diffs another micro, servo um for your two speed box.

Really nice engineering under here nice inboard, controversial, laid down in board shocks. I say controversial because it depends how you look at it. Traxxas is, oh, so famous lawsuit against armor for the inboard shocks, however, years before traxxas were around in board shots or a thing, but anyway that is history. Let’S, not think about that we’re. Just talking about this big old beast – and i am very much looking forward to taking this out – i mean it even comes with it even comes ready to go for twin motors with twin outputs from the esc um. I might do that. I don’t know i don’t think it’s a very expensive conversion to do so. We might look at that. So batteries go either side one under there, one under the other side, nice and balanced, better check that my lipos actually fit yeah. Do they yeah they fit. You know i’ve not owned many traxxas or any tracks as part of my trx 4 and some old retro stuff better get these things changed. There we go. Xc90S are on a couple of 2s lipos in there. I really like you, got a little intake there and then a little exhaust there for the air to flow through to keep the battery cool uh. Very nice design right, let’s plug it in just make sure it all works, and i think it’s time to take it out for its first little run. It’S got so much ground clearance, i’ve had to put a tool box and a big wheel under there to get the wheels off the ground right, transmits on nice.

That must be second gear crawling, and then i think so all the way back is all diffs. Locked center is just the front locked and then all the way forward is all locked, so crawling made that i guess with just the front locked and one in second gear. My guess is it’s going to keep it a little bit straighter though, although it has got tsm see like that stability control, nice set of lights on the front let’s get the body on and let’s go out, let’s give it his first run. So here we are, with the summit: we’ve got a nice little playground. Gon na go up there in a minute. Now i’ve not seen anyone recently uh do a speed run, especially not with some newer gps stuff, so i’ve thrown the skyrc on there. Just a while i’ll be honest, it’s a bit underwhelming considering it’s got that big old 775 in it and it’s 4s it’s. A big old truck, though well i’ve got it dirty i’m, going to say less than 20 mile. An hour. 18. i’d expect a bit more than that. So what about low gear then? Would you reckon it’s got to be half or less than half? I reckon definitely less than half seven that’s. All you need, though, for the low crawling right, let’s. Take it up. There perfect terrain this, for it, though isn’t it that suspension roll low gear, all diffs locked, wow they’re, not lying when they say they draw over anything.

Jeez, i should have worn my wellies today, so in all terrain or whatever vehicle we’re in high gear at the moment, not struggle getting up here, not that big motor in it easy. I could do the high gear, though this is what this thing’s about just bashing. It around all roads or off road soaks up pretty much everything awesome this thing’s, so cool. We could jump that definitely what this was made for when you start driving around on terrain like this, that speed it doesn’t matter anymore, that it’s only 18 mile an hour. Any faster and it’s just going to be teeth, wow it’s, not certainly too fast. You know what i mean so running is completely stocked i’ve, not changed anything. I love how that suspension moves it’s, so cool time for a little montage let’s, get it wet. Let’S get some jumps in there and then on the next video on the next video we’re going to go over to the rocks. There see how well it crawls, and i might even take it to the skate park – enjoy the rest of the video. But this thing gets a massive thumbs up from me. Oh, i have to say it again. Well done tracks.
