Do you know which one is Applause which Music, Music Applause, so Music, Music? Okay, which is the crawler and which is the monster truck? So this is our highly modified. Crawler click here for everything about it, lifted, rc4, wheel, drive, accessories and everything all right, but we’ll put it aside because it’s not the monster truck. This is the monster truck right here boom. What do you guys think it is the lossy lmt chassis roller monster truck? It is highly touted as the best you know, rc monster truck ever made. You know it’s it’s, a category that’s been growing, you know, but it’s been looking for the right product and everyone is saying this: is it so it comes in three configurations licensed the for the the two bodies that come with it. Uh one is the gravedigger one of the most famous monster trucks ever and then the other one. Is this new one, the son of a digger, both of them are stunning. You know they have these huge bodies with some paint and then decals all over the side. You know, but since they’ve been introduced, it’s been out of stock and i’ve been on a waiting list forever and then boom. I saw this thing. It was in stock at amain and click order, so the other, the the standard ones with bodies ready to run are 600 and this one is 400. So i wanted to build one right because i wanted those bodies, but i said it’s a roller.
I get to put my own servo, my own motor and whatnot, not bad, and i can get that body later so 400 and as i publish this, this should still be in stock, so get in there. If this is what you want, because – or at least back order, those other two it’s, reportedly so good – that it’s gon na be out of stock for for forever. So it just looks different this thing, because i just slapped on my traxxas trx4 bronco body on it guys ready boom and there it is so i’m going to tell you at the end of the video too, what what bodies are going to fit and what modifications You need, if you want to put some other bodies, so here it is the so the most fascinating thing about it are the axles. They have these new huge, beefy, powerful axles that, with the shocks mounted on them, so it’s scale, there’s no trailing arms uh, but you have these huge shocks. I don’t know 130 140 on the suspension, so they’re just beautiful shocks built and a lot of detail. A lot of engineering really went into it. Okay, so we’ll go through them, so the most significant part of the design is this twin plate chassis. So you have in you know. Instead of a ladder type or a cage type, they have. You have these two twin plates that holds everything together and it’s kind of revolutionary, because it makes it really strong, really flexible and easy to work on and i’ll go through that in a little bit.
So the easiest part of it is when you i have cage style ones like the capra and and the wraith and they’re very hard to work on. You have to drop the bottom and it’s so painful. I don’t, you know you end up not doing it. This one uh, you just lift it so this is this is just you know mostly decorational, and it holds the body so it’s a cage, super cool. I love it because boom you’re working on it. You got the battery. You know you work on the you work on the shocks and everything it’s like a crawler everything’s easy to work on so hats off. So you don’t need to do to use this. If you don’t want to you know they, i believe they include body posts. So you can do a traditional body post. What this does is it protects it. A little bit gives a little bit of realism because you can kind of see that cage and but it does, it does weigh quite a bit. So if you wanted more performance, less flipping over, you could just uh put the body post and mount it that way, all right so so gives you options the it’s connect. It has body body clips here at the bottom and on the sides of four of them, but really all you need is is the two right here: okay, so this part of the of of of the twin plate chassis is not really necessary.
It’S not doing much aside from holding this, but it does interfere with whatever body you want to put in so the wheelbase is 13.5 inches and you could put a lot of bodies on it, but they would need a long hood to clear this. So you know some people have talked about modifying chopping this if you really want to have more body options, and so this is just a nice swivel and how you mount this thing. Is you just screw it on so you screw it on and whenever you want it off boom boom? So i kind of like that so i’ll work with that. First for sure, driver paint, the driver and whatnot. An obvious thing here is a wheelie bar that is legit. The wheelie bar is looks so strong. It could take a beating okay, so it has a battery tray, 2s or 3s kind of surprised me. I was ready with a 4s or 6s or whatnot, but it’s a 2s3s machine and people are saying really uh 2s. If you wanted easy to control, do a lot of stunts it’s enough to flip and whatnot and do jumps and 3s. If you want to just really impress everybody, so i would suggest doing 2s. 3S. Sorry, so you have that upper range and then uh you could maybe on on the spectrum transmitter uh put it down to 75. You can do that with other uh transmitters as well. So if you want to easy control, just put it down and then, if you want to just go crazy, put it to 100, you have a little rubber, strap here, uh to accommodate any size battery.
Reportedly, this works very well a little receiver case right. There. Servo goes right here, axle mounted servo and let us know what uh, what server, what we have. We certainly have a lot of crawler servos direct powered servos. Obviously in monster truck you want it. You speed speed is an issue, so i don’t want. I don’t put a reeves 555 or something i want something pretty fast. It has a a really good servo saver. Reportedly, whenever your tires are this big when you land like this there’s, so much more force and it is going to land like this, so much more force that goes into your servo, your metal gear server. You don’t want to strip that so this servo saver is key and here it’s adjustable. It has roll bars, some stabilizer bars so to speak already built in and they are, you know going through the chassis. So that is very cool and let me see yeah, so you see that other ones sink a little bit and it’s adjustable adjustable by limiting the the size of the the arm that extends out the closer it is to the bar uh, the more uh, the more Responsive that other wheel is just you know, okay, so something very, very cool here as well is right here, steering radius you’re a monster truck. You need to steer on a dime right and so the old ones, the key making the steering radius happen is the the belly here is small, so they made a lot of engineering efforts to to make this as small as possible.
That way, you have four link suspension here, four link there, but it puts the rods it goes in so when, when the rods are are kind of straight, horizontal it’ll get in the way of these huge tires. So this is very good steering radius. The the tires are pretty cool, they are not labeled, you know, but they do look. The part look like tractor tires, but something interesting with them is they’re a little bit higher profile um outside than they are inside. You know kind of like an arma vehicle and in the in the arma you know it gives it more lateral stability, cushier ladders, ability here for cornering, but here i think the purpose is more to give more room uh inside the rim for all this steering mechanism. Okay, so a big part of how the the belly got so small, is they put some of the gears out here, so that requires a lot of engineering. You know in the old you know the old trucks they’re just inside and and that’s why this had to be so big. So a little bit of ingenuity got this thing out. I hear there’s a a torque tension device there that protects your motor, your gearing from the sudden drops uh sudden forces from you know from drops and whatnot. So the oh nice little exhaust here exhaust detail heavy this thing’s heavy um, even even box stock. Oh exhaust ii on both sides, so the motor is side mounted.
It goes like this, so you put it in here. You know that’s the motor uh pinion and spur right there, and one of the effects of that is less torque twist. You know this is all about torque all right and and having it that there and the gearing spin. This way probably means it’ll just go like this. Instead of sideways, so you’ll you’ll have more room to do stunts and whatnot okay. So i really like that man that stabilizer bar is such a neat design. Okay, so let’s go to the links, so the links is cool because super massive uh look. These look like nine millimeter links, metal links, drive shafts are combo metal and plastic, but they are huge as well so check that out yeah. It jumps a little bit. Uh tail happy, so you need a little bit of a break. But when your tires, are this big it’s very easy to adjust with your with your motor? You know that the attitude of the jump and then when it lands normally, you know you expect it to boom bounce like that, like a basketball like real monster trucks, but this one it’s so much suspension, it’s pretty planted. Look at that shocks are low, c low c ready, so so so we’ll run this body initially make it look pretty, of course, but there’s a lot of other bodies. You know that work. Well, too. Obviously you need. If you want this cage, you would need a kind of an suv type body and not a pickup.
Oh look at that. Look at that chevy fans, so we’ll treat all right and see you see what happens. Right should be fun right and you know, like i said, from all the monster truck aficionados out there saying this is you know this is the this is the one. This is the start. This is what’s going to grow the category. A purpose built monster, truck purpose, engineered monster truck for everyone, and these axles are insane all right.
