Traxxas LaTrax Teton | Full Review and Unboxing | Traxxas RC Car

I know guys it’s super random, that i’m just kind of out in the middle of nowhere we’re still in broken, bow oklahoma at my parents airbnb, but here it is bam the latrax teton. I actually got this a lot while back. I actually did i unboxed this. Eigenlijk, i did an unwrapping. This was a christmas gift idea. I did for the 2020 christmas ultimate rc christmas. I never opened it, but we’re gon na open it now and after driving. The rally i’ve got really high expectations from this thing, because this thing the rally was pretty freaking awesome all right here we go we’re gon na open. This thing up, oh man, Ik ben, so excited this is the only thing about these latrax cars. I feel like they directly compete. I guess they can’t really compete because the same company, but these 16th scale cars by the by traxxas kind of similar scale. Geloof ik, Oh, dit is 18 Schaal, so very similar scale, this one 18th, the e revo’s 116th. They have 1 16th e room. They also make a 116 summit, which is super cool and they used to make it 1 16th rally. So i feel like they kind of competed with each other. I don’t know that’s why i’ve always hesitated to get these because i’ve always liked the 16 scale stuff that traxxas made, but without further ado let’s get this thing open. I have a steak knife. I got ta bring my my pocket knife.

I know it’s kind of i think it’s i’m recording on the patio, because inside it’s, like complete chaos with all the kids, so we already kind of know what to expect when we open this thing up. It’S gon na be very similar to the rally here’s. The car put this down. Oh, Oh, we got a lot of stuff in here same rally, stuff! Kijken! I got this. I didn’t. I don’t think this was in the uh in the other box. This is the the traxxas experience all right, nothing out of the norm. Here we got the teeth on here: i’m gon na bust this off here i’m using a steak knife. I know kind of weird lame. Don’T cut myself bam here. It is the teton look at how cool it is. Oh man, het ziet er uit. Pretty cool it’s got some ground clearance if it’s good, basically i’m, assuming it’s going to be just as cool and fun as the rally but be able to handle off road, which is what i need. Echter, this one also has the problem that i don’t, like it doesn’t come with freaking body clips, look there’s only these body clips, the the rally is actually at the rv, so i don’t have body quests with me, so i don’t want to flip this over and Lose body clips and guarantee these back body clips are going to come off, especially if you put them on like that, because all it takes is one of these one of these things and then just kind of rips, those out yeah that sucks.

I can’t stand that anyways let’s. Take the body off see what it looks like under this thing: Ik ben, assuming it’s gon na look just like the rally because there’s a freaking same car and it does it’s a rally. What it looks like – maybe maybe not maybe, bigger arms let’s, see if you can get that maybe bigger arms and uh bigger tires. Obviously it does come with a six cell battery which let’s take this out. I already got a 60 charging, so we’ll be able to would have to wait till tomorrow. Drive it like last time and i got to charge it on an actual peak charger yeah. This is the 6l battery it’s a 7.2 Volt. Whenever i ran this on the rally, this was plenty of power i’m. Assuming this is gon na, be plenty of power. I don’t think we’re gon na have to up it at all um. But yes, just like the rally i’ll put up, i’ll put something in the eye above to show you the rally when i unbox it. But let me show you some close up shots of this, so you guys can get a full feel of what this car is. All about all right before i show you some close up picks. I got to show you the remote where where’s my knife, like these others was hiding geez. This probably looks exactly like the other rally remote, Ik heb niet. Even i just busted it.

I didn’t even look at it. Yep standard issue looks like the traxxas tq radio, good radio, 2.4 doesn’t blend up to multiple models, but still good radio, Muziek Applaus, Muziek, Muziek. Oké jongens., we’re just gon na go straight into it. Ik ben., just gon na start driving. Dit ding., what i really want to see is how much better or worse is it than the mini revo, because i feel like if you’re going to go in there. This is going to be a little bit cheaper, actually a lot of it cheaper if it’s even close to mini revo. This is going to be a good little car. Ik ben.. Ik ben.. Stoked i’m super excited the battery’s, almost done i’m gon na charge. The other battery. My brother in law is gon na, be out there with me, because he’s gon na get some he’s gon na try to get some shots of it. Moving see. You know test out his camera skills um, but yeah man, Ik ben, stoked let’s drive this thing all right, guys we’re on a fixed camera. This time i don’t have my gopro my head, but here here she is um i’m. Not going to do. Oh man that’s pretty fast yeah i’m, not going to compare it to the e revo, because e revo 60 skull e revo is a little bit off road. Er. Oh a little jump, whoa it’s, Leuk, Laten we, Zie. If we go off road here, the 60s kill e revo is about how much more maybe 80 more.

I think this is 119.. Oh, Oh, Oh! Oh, oh and i landed it. Sorry, Jongens! Sorry, the camera’s not moving i’ll try to stay in the middle of the shot, but this is actually pretty freaking fun, het is, not a bad little car. So this is different than the rally, because this one comes with bearings. Instead of bushings, the rally comes with just bushings and then also this one comes with uh the 6l battery, which i think is a must on any of these latrax cars. De 6 0 battery just opens it up so much more. It can handle off road. Unlike the rally, the rally did not handle off road very well at all fun little freaking car i’ll get better shots of it up close. But again this one comes with bushings and a 6 0 Batterij, and for only 10 more the rally was 10109. I believe retail street price – and this is 119. yeah this. I would definitely recommend if you’re going to go and get a latrax car and you’re gon na run it you’re, possibly gon na run it off road. Um pick one of these up. I would get this one for sure there’s one more. I didn’t do a review on yet it’s the uh. The short course looking around that one, the pre order, pre runner, one i’m, assuming that’s gon na be uh. I mean that’s, dus dat is, pretty good power. Jongens, Ik ben, not gon na lie easy to drive great brakes, yeah the pre runner.

What i bet you is pre order, usually means it’s, two wheel drive, i don’t know if it’s a different platform, but i could see a reason to get both the rally in this. Like if you really like these little tracks cars, the rally is only 109 and if you’re running it inside or on carpet that thing’s pretty fun, but this out of all the attraction cars i’ve, driven, which i’ve only driven to i think there’s. Only three. This one is way better, het is, just so much more versatile. I can go off road. I just went off the screen. I don’t have to worry about breaking it or anything here, let’s get. Let me pay the camera around. We can see it more off road. All right here’s, some off road shots. This is like some. Some thick gravel handles are just fine, O ja. This is way more fun. This would be also a really good like first rc car i’d definitely recommend this for a first rc car we’re, going to kind of put this thing through. The ringer also we’re, going to put both little tracks cars to the ringer to see how good of a first rc car it is because you don’t want to oh, oh i’ll, flip that over i got ta get it all right, got it flipped over go through These bigger ruts over here you know what they need. You know what i think traxxas needs, which they already have them out on the market, but i think traxxas could get a lot of sales out.

They need a mini crawler too. Let me crawler would be cool um. This is a pretty fun little truck guys pretty stable yeah. Ik vind het leuk. I like it a lot. Oh whoa, Whoa, Whoa, whoa uh. I i want to kind of put a lipo in there. Het is., probably going to be just a little bit, usually whenever you go to lipo with stuff like this you’ll get a little bit more punch but it’s just going to be consistent power it’s not going to fade out. But i mean this is some pretty thick gravel and it’s handling it really well, but yeah again, i can see a reason to get both the rally and this car. But if you’re going to go off road, you have like land. You know you’re going to go in the grass in the backyard. Eigenlijk, i bet you it doesn’t handle grass well let’s, take it in the grass, see how it does all right. This is kind of like pine needles, pine italy. So i would assume that if your grass isn’t super thick, you can handle it, but it seems like it’s handling this pretty good. I know this isn’t, like grass, but there’s no grass out here, um let’s try to go up this. This uh rock crawling wall here uh. Oh, we need some speed, nope can’t, do it can’t, get it guys, het is, not a good rock crawler it’s, not intended for rock crawling anyways. I don’t want to go up that rock, zo slecht.

It looks like i could get it doesn’t it. It does. Oh it’s digging itself in come on rock it out, got it all right, let’s get out of here, because this is not the most ideal stuff for this car, so overall guys again thumbs up these rally. Cars, these uh latrax cars, are pretty cool and for the price point you really can’t beat it because, if you think about it, the price point on like a a a good walmart car is about 100 Dollar, like maybe 70 Aan 100 Dollar. Um again, the only thing that i would say is i wish it came with more body clips, but this is a hobby grade. Car and it’s got a lot of power. You can make it really fast i’m again putting brushless on it would be fun, but i bet you it’s going to be hard as can be to drive, but this is definitely uh. You can tell it’s a hobby grade car the way it drives the way it handles the bumps. The wheels tires. Everything like that for the tires suspension, solid built car overall, a fun car. I really like these littrax cars. I think i’m, just gon na keep these in the rv just to do some fun stuff with whenever i’m bored. Eigenlijk, i don’t really get whoa whoa whoa, Whoa, whoa land, it land it land, it land it! O ja! This is a good car. Als u, if it’s a first car, because even if you were to just grab so you know, Kinderen, the first thing you do when they get an rc car, is they just pull full full trigger, Um het is, still controllable, het is, not just gon na, do standing back Flips, like on the e revo, i said i wasn’t gon na compare it to revo like the mini revo dude.

That thing is ballistic, especially brussels brushless. It will do staining backflip backflips on 3s golly i’m, losing my words guys. It will do standing back flips on 3s um. This one won’t do wheelies, but still plenty of power, it’s plenty of power where it’s fun that’s the thing so long, it’s fun like if it’s dog slow like this isn’t dog, slow i’m going up. You guys can’t see anymore i’m gon na come down the hill really fast if it’s dog slow – Oh, Oh, Oh! I just made super wreck didn’t break anything let’s get another high speed run here, yeah if it’s dog, slow, het is, not fun. This is not dog, slow, Muziek, oh and it handles those bumps. Just fine, i got ta shoot. I got ta shoot down, so you can see it all right. I got ta be careful because the tripod’s about to fall i’m gon na come flying down this thing you can see it hit the hit. The rocks really really hard ready, it’s not broken still going pretty bad wreck there. Oh god there’s a wasp next to me here we go we’re doing it again: Music man, it handles the bumps really well yeah this thing’s fun, guys solid little car. I mean it’s flipping and wrecking everything. Nothing broken! Nog! Oh, do you see that jump? You didn’t see that jump, but it was pretty good i’m driving the wheels off this thing. It’S still going all right.

So a couple of things to note: it did come with an ac charger when i say ac, that means it plugs into the wall and it’s not the same, not the same as the rally ac charger. So this one is a six cell ac charger. The one that comes the rally is a five cell ac charger, so you can’t use them interchangeably. Maybe you can, but it does exclusively save five sell on the rally and 6l on this one. It also did come with double a batteries, which i love, that i love that traxxas is putting double a batteries into the trax cars kind of wish. They would put them in the other rtr cars or the cars that come with batteries like the actual battery packs um. They don’t do that yet, but those traxxas batteries are pretty cool. One other thing to note is the tires are not glued. Ik merkte, as i was driving back to the house, i had a tire that was wobbling like that, and i thought maybe it was bent or broken. It was not bent or broken. The tires were actually coming off. The tires are not glued, so you could glue them. I don’t even know. If there’s i didn’t, i didn’t sense that there was a foam that i didn’t feel a foam in there, but you could glue them um, maar ja. The tires are glued it’s kind of lame, so if you’re going downhill, which i think the reason why my tire came off is – i was going down here really fast, taking a turn, it was flipping catching the catching the uh, the side of the tire – and i Was trying to pull it off the bead and that’s? Probably what made it came loose made? It come loose that’s, what i’m gon na say, Golly, so overall a fun little car, and that was one battery.

Oh it’s it’s warm it’s warm under it, maar dat is.. That was one battery i’m, assuming that battery will probably go 10 15 minutes which for someone’s first car that’s a long time, en dan, if you get two batteries, the battery’s only 19 Dollar 20 bucks that’s a that’s, a lot of fun you’ll get i don’t, maybe If you’re new to it, you won’t get tired of it. I won’t get tired of it, but you’ll probably be done playing with it. After you drive for 45 minutes but cool little car man, the motor is like super hot i’ve been driving pretty hard, Hoewel, but definitely thumbs up for the price point you can’t beat it well.
