I just wanted to do my own little talks sort of like a little review. This is basically on what kind of problems i’ve had so far. Um i’ve only had about five runs on it so far and um in my third run the body here kind of cracked up a little bit. So what i’ve done was uh. I did the shugu and drywall method there. I learned this from people online and stuff, like that kind of strengthens the cheap body that they bring along with these big 1 5th scale, rc’s, hopefully it’ll last longer now, but regarding the plastics in the body. Well, the plastics, mainly the a arms, are practically like glass straight out of the box i’m, not sure if it has to do something with the cold weather, but i did break a right upper and lower a arm. There Applause whoa Applause, so i went with rpms here and these things are pretty much bulletproof they’re super flexible and tough. One good thing about this with the plastic is the actual wing mount and in my five run videos you can see that i’m practically hitting the wing mount here and it doesn’t even crack at all Applause. I don’t know what they did with that. Maybe they made uh made the made the wing mountain with different uh plastic material, though i’m, not sure straight out of the box. I’M, really loving. How this thing comes apart. It’S super easy to work on there’s plenty of videos on youtube to help you out with anything on this car regarding uh power and the way it’s set up out of the box uh.
I really love it. It’S it’s pretty phenomenal for a big car right out of the box. It does come with pretty good electronics, very reliable, just like the 1 8th scale, ready to run versions, but they did go with the spectrum system here. But i i haven’t had any problems with this system, so i think i’m going to use it and i’m going to test it further further more during the summer time, it’s pretty fast Applause, Applause i’ve switched the spur from a 47, i believe to a ‘ tooth Spur and the pinion i went with the 23 tooth pinion look at that the motor does have an eight millimeter, shaft and i’m, not sure about temps but uh. During the summer time, we’ll we’ll check those temps and see if we have any problem with that right now, it’s been how perfect to run this system and that setup, because it’s cold outside i’m loving this rig. It takes a complete beating out of those five runs. I did order a new bumper. As you can see. I broke the bumper there um i didn’t, i didn’t uh bend any shock shafts. Yet, as you can see, let me check the rear end here. Show you this too, as well. Look at that but um. Regarding the plastic arms here, if you can see this uh there, there are cracks starting to happen where the droop screws are actually sitting there, that’s how brittle and weak the plastic is you see that um i’m sure the cold uh is a factor of one of Those things but – and i did i did – break a brace rod end here.
As you can see, this is not a stock. Uh plastic end there here’s one of the plastic stock ends uh. What i did was i took this end off of the exp creighton. 1. 8 scale tower to tower brace and – and i had to cut it to size with the same size as this here as well as i had to drill out the ball, the insert i had to drill it out just because this pin here actually didn’t fit, but It’S working out pretty well it’s it’s way tougher than the ends it comes with. These are pretty weak compared to the 1 8 ones here, but uh that’s pretty much it regarding uh the plastics, the electronic set up here, uh for the for the chassis here, i want to show you guys this. I did actually bend the chassis. Well. Not so not so much bend, it does have a slight bow in it and i did bow it on my uh. Fourth, third or fourth run here. I am using my straight edge. You can see that there’s a slight bow in there. That doesn’t really worry me much because i have access to chassis upgrade from different companies. Their their chassis material is actually made out of 7075 aircraft aluminum, and i do have the option to upgrade to those uh. Regarding the chassis um with the uh lips. Here i actually did catch a rock on one of my one of my second first or second runs, and i actually did bend one of the droop screw lips here.
It did actually bend towards the arm. I did use some pliers to bend it back and that really just proves that the chassis is pretty weak, but um so far that didn’t. That doesn’t really bother me because i haven’t really had the chance to really send this thing as high and as far as my 1 8 scale cars yet um, i do plan on doing a few upgrades in the future uh. If, if my wallet will let me i do plan on going with the upgraded chassis as well as crcu’s upgraded braces, they did come out with the new braces that i really want. They are made out of 7075 aluminum and they’re one piece where, as these are plastic ends and a metal middle piece, there um, i think that’s gon na cut it off for me for the outcast. I am waiting for the 15th exp creighton and i’ll be running the max 5, and this big can motor right here check this out guys. I can’t believe how huge this thing is. This is the 56 112 brushless hobby wing motor here. The size and weight of this thing is just unbelievable. It is the 780 kv uh. Let me just do a little comparison. I’Ll show you guys uh compared to the stock motor here. This thing makes the stock motor look like a freaking baby, no check this out check this out here. When i put this motor onto the car here, watch the suspension.
Look how heavy this thing is you see that this thing is pretty heavy, but look at the comparison there. The size of this motor is unbelievable, i’m, not even sure, if it’ll fit, but this motor is what i’ll be running in the one fifth exp creighton. It has the eight millimeter shaft there. I will be running the ‘ limitless spool here for a spur gear for opinion gear. Sorry about that, and i will be running the ‘ tooth – spur that the exp creighton will come with so i’ll have the one to one gearing, which is ‘ tooth pinion and ‘ tooth spur with the max 5.. I will be running the stock steering servo just because i really don’t know what other servo i could have went with. So that’ll be my setup and i’m just sitting here waiting for the one fifth exp. I am running these traxxas paddle tires for the rear. I am planning on getting some for the creighton exp as well, but that’ll be in the near future. Uh you do. You do have to drill out the the diameter of this um hole here, just so it can fit onto the hub there. These holes were too small out of the box when i got them as well as these little sort of lips in here that you have to remove so it’ll fit onto the hex here. But you just grab a razor blade or something and cut those out and they’ll bolt right back right on there and as far as the wheels uh check this out, some people have been having problems cracking the wheels.
So far, these have been flawless as well as these traxxas wheels here, so that all pretty much concluded for me i’m pretty much done with this review, but there it is guys.
