We got another unboxing yeah, easy rc, patriot, 118 Skali, you’ll notice. I’Ve got this back here because i’m pretty sure these are the exact same trucks we’re about to find out let’s bust into this patriot and see what’s going on all right. So we’ve got the 118 Skali. Patriot ages, 14 and up 2.4 Ghz, four wheel, drive lithium ion battery shocks, nine gram, servo ready to run doesn’t, say anything about being waterproof like it did for the katana, but just bust it out of here. Okk, everything came out of the box. All in one pole, Ładne, więc jest, like a multi layer, i knew i needed the knife or something okay, that works and wha bam. We’Ve got the who’s. This thing called again: patriot, yeah windshield wipers a little checked there we go there. We go guys. This it’s got a route 66, so that’s immediately different. This one has california license plate, but this feels exactly the same. It feels exactly the same. The the frame on this one is metal frame on this one’s plastic, ale poza tym, i think it all is pretty much exactly the same motors look to be about the same size they’re in a little bit different spots, um ooh, the axles are different differentials. Definitely look different on the front there and the steering servo on this one. This one goes like way out in front. I don’t know why. But oh well, let’s take a look at the patriot.

Apparently these aren’t exactly the same, but i bet they’re awfully close, looks like all the details are pretty much. Tę, Oh, does it have actual mirrors, it does okay, i wasn’t sure if it would come with those let’s peel, this off actually let’s get everything out of the box. Pierwszym, Okk, that layer over there. We got some paperwork. We got oh a bad. I hope there’s a battery in here. Maybe it came with two that would be cool, big old chunky charger and a little tool looks like that’s all you get out of that, and then this sweet stormtrooper looking controller. This is pretty cool. It does feel a little a little cheap. I mean it’s not like super like crazy cheap, but you can tell it’s not quite as as solid or as nice as the one that came with the katana but that’s okay. It has got a huge base too, but it matches the truck perfectly and that’s what we like a little bit different ooh. The steering does feel good nice and tight good return on it. There is no cloth grip but that’s. Okk, the trigger feels a little mushy, nie jest tak źle, though we’ll get some batteries in that in a minute, and i want to take a look under the hood come on. I do like that. Uh this sticker didn’t leave a bunch of residue like the one on the katana did. Maybe it did yeah it left a little uh hey.

There is a battery in here cool and i don’t think this one is listed as waterproof the same as the katata. It does not look waterproof to me a little often on switches in a different spot, to jest, definitely a different board than the one in the katana. It does have the magnets that close down on these little screws to keep the hood shut, which is nice. They appear to be as strong as the the other ones, and i think this yeah this looks like it has some headlights, maybe taillights i’m, Nie jestem pewien, but i’m gon na get some batteries in the controller hook. The battery up and we’re gon na check it out. Okk, so we got some batteries in the controller it did turn on, which is good. The lights on this are drive lights only so they come on if you’re moving forward blinkers come on. When you turn there’s no way to change that that i can tell same with the reverse lights, you have reverse lights. When you back up and headlights when you go forward, it does have the blinkers. Jednak, that is a little bit where the katana differs. You can turn the lights on and they are just always on, or you can turn them off now. The blinkers do still activate either way. Similarly, to the white one here, but one thing that i noticed immediately when i turned them on listen to this let’s let’s, get it good nice close, no planes close the window.

Listen to this okay, you can definitely hear that it’s significantly different. The katanas is just much louder so i’m guessing it maybe is a stronger or better servo, maybe that’s. Why it’s louder, i don’t know they look to be about the same, and actually the katana has some no name servo in there. Maybe the sticker came off at some point. I didn’t notice this one has a sticker for easy rc. They look very similar yeah. The katanas is much louder and i would at this point looking at you know this has a metal chassis, it’s called it’s waterproof. I would say this is better quality, but it is much louder and i believe, it’s the same for the drivetrain. Okk, oh yeah katana’s way louder, yeah it’s not as much louder, but these are definitely made by the same company. We can all agree on that. The interiors are identical in every way: the lights, the mirrors, the snorkel, even the windshield wipers, are exactly the same on these things. Front bumpers same tires are the same. Wheels are the same, but somehow this one is significantly cheaper and it must just be because it has a plastic chassis and isn’t waterproof that’s. Naprawdę, the only difference i can. I could tell here let’s have a push off let’s, see which one’s stronger it’s hard to do with two hands or no yeah. You know what i’m saying: okay katana is probably heavier because it just flipped that thing like it was nothing but looking at them side by side.

I, like the look of this one, better it’s, probably just my personal preference, oh good game up um. I really like the white with the decal. I think that’s cool, especially since i’m in the pacific. Northwest mountains is pretty much everything we’re in the ring of fire as they call it here in washington. So i really like the decal. I am a little bummed that it’s just kind of stuck over all this stuff, like you, can definitely tell there’s air pockets and stuff under this decal and so it’s, probably gon na peel pretty easily. You could already feel it kind of peel right here, but i, like the look of it, let’s get you lined up straight. This one sits higher ever so slightly higher. The back, Tak myślę, has the same amount of clearance, the back’s a little tighter on this one too. So it does sit a little higher, but what i might actually do is just swap the bodies completely keep the katana the way it is. It has a better controller, it has the light function that i like, but this is the body i like, so why not swap them i’m sure they mount the same, but since we did unbox this, obviously what we got to do is take this thing and put It through a couple tests and then in a later video. I will compare these side by side, especially when i get the outdoor course going and stuff and we get some obstacles.

These can actually climb because currently they’re too big for my indoor courses too small for the outdoor one as it stands – that’ll change this weekend, but let’s see if this one can climb that hill, that the katana struggled on maybe there’s something different about this or special. Maybe because it’s slightly lighter it’ll do better we’ll. Take a look. Alright guys. You know we got to try the hill climb. The katana didn’t do great at this. We did finally get it up the little hill. If i remember correctly, it’s been a few days now. I’Ve already forgotten: Oh, i can’t even remember what i had for breakfast today. So it happens. Let’S see if this thing can make it up here: Oklaski, Okk, oh i'm, gon na get a little closer. Just in case i got ta catch, it Applause, Okk, Niech, Spróbuj, slow and steady wins the race. Oh we’re, going down these. These back left tires i’m telling you on both of these things. They love every little hole. They can find. Niech, try the left side. Oh, Oh, Oh, come on! Okk, try climbing into the angles! O nie! How about this one Applause, nope wow! What is going on i’m, just gon na floor it that didn’t work either backwards; Oklaski, oh boy, so that’s how you’re supposed to climb with these things? Laughter. It does great backwards, Och tak, right up to the top of the hill. It was at this moment.

I realized i up. Oh don’t hit the brakes going down and i’m glad. I sat here so i could catch it. Czyli, that was sketchy. It does not want to go up that thing forwards, Choć, and i don’t think the katana had those kind of issues hang on let’s try the katana. I know it had a hard time, but i thought it did better than that Applause. Okk, it fell, but it seemed to get further Music. Better you’re gon na be on high alert ready to catch these things that’s for sure, did we bump it down? No okay, so maybe it’s not better or worse. Maybe neither one of them are bad. Maybe this is just a terrible obstacle. Probably who knows, i will say this one’s a little more jumpy a little more throttle, happy Applause and they have the exact same wheels and tires. But for some reason i just feel like the katana grips better. Maybe Applause who knows let’s see if we can find some other obstacles for this thing to find? Okk, first we’re going to try this then we’re going to try this with both of them. We’Ll start with the patriot for both nope not going to happen on that. Jest to, just too top heavy what about let’s, give it a helping hand because there’s not much room between the edge of the testes here, if you will and the start of this so we’re going to start them both about halfway up.

Och, w porządku, bad driving. A lot of that, a lot of that going on do my best to try and control it. When this thing it is not gripping very well wow, Okk, one more oh jeez, Muzyki, Czyli, not good broke it. Okk, i’ll be right back all right, Faceci, full disclosure. Before you see the end of this video. I know i didn’t get much comparison done between these two it’s, because i actually genuinely thought i broke this thing. It’S been multiple hours since i filmed that. I just basically got done editing all the footage came back in here and i was like. I want to take a look at this thing and i plug the battery back in pop the remote on and it seems to work fine now, there’s literally no issue with it. So i don’t know if it was like an electrical glitch or what um, but before you’re, about to see the part at the end of the video here, where i basically say this thing sucks in a nice way, Oczywiście, um it doesn’t. It was just something weird or random that happened. I will have another video coming out soon. Tak właściwie, comparing these two, when i get a course that they fit on, like i said in the video, i just don’t, really have anything that these crawl on very well, but we will do an in depth comparison of these. When i get a chance with stuff, i can crawl on so enjoy the rest of the video uh and yeah.

What a weird thing to happen: Okk, so buyer, beware, there’s a reason. This one costs more and it’s, because it’s built better um. I think i actually broke this one i’m gon na investigate see if i can fix it, but the controller’s on right now, the trucks not but the controller controller’s on okay, we’re gon na set that over here get it in frame we’re gon na pop, the hood And we’re gon na turn this thing on: Okk, the lights are flickering like crazy. I can steer, but i don’t get blinkers anymore, which whatever and the throttle does absolutely nothing. So i don’t know if i broke the controller i don’t think i did. It seems to be functioning and sending a signal just fine. I think i broke the truck i’m gon na turn, this off um that yeah that whole circuit board in there all that stuff is just kind of sitting there, and i don’t know what i did, but it is not having it and i haven’t tried a different Battery maybe that’s what happens when the battery goes dead, but i think, and the funny thing is i dropped this from the top, the top of that when it was up here all the way to the floor, it bounced and rolled multiple times. You guys heard the bang on that video and it was totally fine. This thing barely fell, i caught it with the remote and then the throttle started going crazy, so i don’t know uh what was i doing? Yeah let’s see.

That is quite a bummer, Choć, that it’s acting up already and i’m hoping i’m hoping i’m just dumb and it’s doing that, because it needs a fresh battery. I know this one definitely has a charge they’re, Zasadzie, the exact same yeah still nothing and the throttle doesn’t feel any different. It still feels good in there. It still feels solid. I feel like there’s, not anything wrong with this. Okk. Well easy review uh! This is about the same as the katana, but significantly cheaper, and i think it’s, because the things that are really important to an rc car actually working are the cheapest parts. I mean that’s why this cheap remote is different than the one you get with most rc cars like on the katana um. I am going to attempt to get this working again like i said, and i want to do a full blown comparison once i get a course that these fit on well, so we will do that i’m, just hoping i can fix this, and if i can’t, maybe I can return it if they’ll, let me, after dropping it at half an inch into my hand. I don’t know we’re gon na find out, though i will update you guys, but for now that is a review of the. What is this thing called easy rc patriot. Damn it’s a bummer um if these are fried or something’s wrong in here, maybe i’ll just have to swap out some scx 24 stuff, for it give it some good, Powolny, crawlability, i don’t know we’ll, see we’ll, do something with it in the future, Choć.
