I should say, and like our video, it goes a long way to help us make more videos, just like this and without further ado I’m, going to show you exactly what I’ve installed here. So the customer came in with a 2007 Toyota. Prius II was looking for a car alarm with remote starter. It was relatively basic, but yet to wait so that it would communicate with him. If the alarm every went off, so he decided to go with the Viper five eight zero six, which is a two way LED remote starter system. So, as you can see, comes with a four button to a LED remote does lock unlock remote start and trunk release on this particular vehicle. I did not hook up trunk release because the trunk will open when the doors unlock. So let me just show you how this works. If I hit lock doors lock and it confirms, the doors are locked. If I hit unlock doors, unlock and confirms it’s unlocked and then I’ll have to get out of the car to the remote star, because this vehicle is pushed to start, I need to be outside the vehicle with the proximity key in order to start it. This particular customer did not want chirps to be enabled when he locks and unlocks it. He wants it to be completely silent, so they are silent, as you can see, when I lock it no chirps only from the two way remote when i unlock it, no chirps.
If I hold down panic, you’re getting here, it’s pretty loud siren and horn there, and as mentioned, we did install a remote starter, so it’s a little bit unique on a hybrid vehicle for the way that it remote starts. I’Ll just hop out here and show you so if I hit the remote Start button, which is the third button down, basically what happens? Is it mimics exactly how this car starts? Normally, so the brake lights turn on and then essentially the car turns on now. The engine doesn’t necessarily start running unless the vehicle is cold, but at some point the engine will run because this is pushed to start. Sometimes takeover mode is a concern on this particular vehicle. We used an AI datalink ad STB interface. There is full take over what that means is that if I walk up to the vehicle and I hit unlock – and I unlock the vehicle I get in the vehicle continues to run as long as I have the Toyota proximity key in hand as soon as I Get in within 45 seconds, if I step on the brake, I can now drive away and if I were to hit the factory power button here, car shuts off so that’s, pretty much it Viper 58. Oh six! Really, cool system really easy to use economical to install it’ll work, even on hybrid vehicles like this Prius, if you or someone you know, is looking for a car alarm with remote starter, a remote start, a dash camera safety system or any pretty much any electronics.
