As you know, the number one upgrade you can do to your crawler, any crawler, rtr or even modded is tires. Tires. Are everything if you get the right tire? The right foam matches your local terrain and conditions it’s going to do worlds for you more than a a motor, a brushless motor, more than brass weights or anything tires that’s. Your contact, proline’s attempt is this new tire called the trencher boom boom, see the difference. So the trencher is a lot more realistic. Looking doesn’t have those feathers, but for sure one look at it and you go wow that’s a lot of surface area that’s a lot of interruptions when it comes to a tire, any kind of line. Any kind of interruption is what’s going to give you a chance at climbing and greatness, so the trencher has that so what we’re doing is we’re testing the trencher here on our test trx4 and what we did is we put the g8 on the rear, and this Is what you should do g8 on the rear, your firmer one on the rear and your softer one? Your grab your one in the front, predator on the front that’s a pretty good combo same thing with shocks: a little firmer shock oil on the rear, a little softer on the front, because the front is where you you claw at it, and the rear is where You all the weight of the truck goes at the extreme positions and you have to support your vehicle.
Dual stage. Foams always enjoyed running video, but hang on subscribe because we are gon na uh test we’re gon na put all these tires in the same vehicle. Same course same everything, maybe same day, even uh, trencher versus high rocks and a couple more and so we’ll have a little shootout, a little pow wow and see what the best tire is for around here and you guys. Let me know: what’s your what’s, your go to tire. Do you look for scale, looks or do you just look for complete domination performance and where do you live uh in this big ball of ours? You know every terrain. Every every region has different different soil. Different rocks right so different things, work in different places anyway, thanks a ton, and here is our test. If you guys take a look at the tire, it looks really cool looks a lot better than the hyrox. It looks more realistic, looks like it’s going to work. Well, in many conditions, dirt and rock, because it has a lot of small interrupted, knobs, definitely rallying it’s, very good control, nice and stable we’re using proline dual stage. Foams and proline bead lock wheels it’s on the trx 4. Here, dual stage, foams is key to get the most out of a tire, give it some support both for climbing and side healing and give it some grip. The outer soft one for more hand holds right. There it’s the first line.
It did it no problem. Those rocks are slippery, cement is grippy and here is a hole. You need ultimate grip to get out of this thing without throttling too much really not a problem. The hyrax can do these lines and it does seem like it’s. These strangers are doing it with equal confidence right there. It is a tough line and uh not so much on the tires, but the the weight, the front weighting of the vehicle is at the limit. But if you have stable grippy tires, you’ll have more chances more bites at the apple, and it does seem like these tires are have about as much grip as the hyroxis, i would say, it’s 95 98 there we’d have we’ll have to observe a lot more. So we’ve run three battery packs on these tires it’s very important when you evaluate tires that you run them a few times because they actually break in the rubber breaks in and the foam breaks in, meaning uh the manufacturing slippery surface on the rubber rubs out and Also, the foam softens up a little bit, giving you a little more articulation love the way these tires are performing and the way the way they look as well and here’s, a very tough line yeah, but we found the key is to use the steering. You got sponsored on that right there and kind of pull yourself up using that notch, so it does it well and then we said well, we need some dirt.
This is our steep and too easy steep dirt. Here no problem, i don’t know maybe it’s not steep enough. Definitely not a problem, so proline trencher is doing the job, and here some cement, tough stuff and really just as confident as the higher axis, maybe a little better side healing than the higher axis. If the higher axis have a weakness, it’s the side hill, because the the teeth or the feathers are all horizontal there’s, nothing really stopping the wheel from sliding to the side – and it does seem like these tires – will handle wet, rocks a little bit better. That’S kind of a weakness of the hyraxis so pleasure to look at pleasure to drive pretty cool tire good to have an option from proline, because we know the consistency and quality of proline. There are two compounds: g8, the sticky, but more structurally sound rubber, compound and predator, which is very soft, no holds part loose, condition, tire and right there. This this vehicle just makes a joke out of this little wall breaking seems really good as well. Very stable, no slip some rocks here, this more more than anything, demonstrates the power of portal axles, where you’re not very picky, about line selection just punch through. Finally, some fun here have a good one stay tuned for the shootout Music.
