New RC Day! Dromida Backbone 1/10 rock racer
To get yours check your local hobbytown today now a little bit of history with this guy. It is based off of the helium rock rider, which is why it may look familiar to some of you keen eyed people out there, but also it is similar to the vrx octane, so there’s options for parts there, as well now with the helium rock rider. It had some problems. I had a rock rider for a little while that was gifted to me. I guess you could say, and i did some upgrades to it, and one of the main things that it had an issue with was the plastic chassis plate. Would just snap with this vehicle, No entanto, they have gone through it and upgraded a few things over what the rock rider had stock and i think they have for two hundred dollars quite a good rc out of the box. Now i actually haven’t cracked, this thing open. So let’s get into it Applause. The box is coming off slow, Isto é, not me all right. The backbone is an independent front. Solid axle, rear u4 styled vehicle with 2.2 pneus polegada. So what’s going to come in the box. Is the vehicle itself, the box for your radio and also instructions, as well as your charger for your battery and oh wow, some batteries for your remote as well? Get this mess out of my way all right, starting with the remote, i will say, it’s kind of adorable feels nice in the hand real easy access for one handed driving if that’s your kind of thing.
I haven’t really had one of these in this style before but seems interesting. I kind of like it so we’ll see how this pans out and also just quick of note. This is a three channel setup. There is a channel three button on here. I don’t know what it would do or why but it’s there now moving on to the truck itself. Take these body clips off and the cage comes off all as one you get a spare tire included a full interior with two drivers, throw those right there for now, and you now can see what we all are interested in. It is fully four wheel drive, but it has open diffs. It is four wheel drive, but there are open diffs front and back you have your aluminum chassis plate that comes stock. There is a 21 turn brushed motor with the heat sink and your brushed esc there’s. Your stock servo on off switch your receiver will be within here. It comes with an 1800 milliamp nickel metal hydride battery. If i can get it out of here, it has the ic3. I think smart connector battery connector on the battery and as well as to the brushed esc, it has a sway bar in the four link rear, which i find amazing. It comes stock with a sway bar. What this sway bar will do will help stop the rear axle from twisting in high torque situations, keeping your car more planted.
There are adjustable threaded shocks on here. I almost thought they were aluminum, but they’re plastic bodied with aluminum caps and rings threaded rings. These turn buckles and steering linkage are made out of metal. You have metal drive shafts. I do not believe there is a diff in the center. Turning now to the instructions, Aplausos, it gives you a full instruction on what all the things are and what the things do on your remote and vehicle, how to plug into the charger again a breakdown of all of your functions for the remote and what most of The buttons do and also a full parts breakdown of the vehicle – oh actually, no, it does not have a center dip. You also have your charger, your batteries for the remote and some andromeda stickers. Now do i think this vehicle will blow your socks off right out of the box? Probably not, but is it a cheap and decent way to get into this hobby or pick up a rig for not that much money? I think so and if you stay tuned to the channel, i plan on taking this thing through the ringer actually more appropriately put i’m gon na put it through the gauntlet i’m gon na. Take you on a trail that i have dubbed the gauntlet and if i can find the time, i might actually go back out to san antonio with texas, rc rock racing and see if i can run it in u4 with them.
I hope everyone liked this review and unboxing. I don’t do very many unboxings. This is kind of a rare thing for me.
