Redcat Racing Gen 7 revisão e filmagem de unidade
Me surpreenda. Então esse caminhão funciona por aí 250 without the and it comes with the battery the remote and all that all you need is four double a’s for your remote now, we’re gon na say this right up front. These trucks have some durability issues, so i’ll go ahead and let my brother talk about the stuff that he has on his okay, so first off with the gen 7, when you first buy it, the suspension links are in the wrong spot: you’re, not getting full articulation. You’Re not getting a whole lot of steering it kind of hinders the truck a little bit so when it comes stock. This link is mounted right here. Right here is where you want it, so your driveline doesn’t hit also the front these guys are mounted back here. It’S really tight actually kind of hard to get to to work on it. So you move this one up here and you then get full travel and everything in the front. This one has all the free mods the shocks laid back where they should be, and honestly it crawled really well, Mas, as my brother here was saying, there’s durability issues. Look at this. I completely bent my axle shaft. Even after putting aluminum caster mounts and everything i had a wheel, hex fall off, and this was during light crawling yeah, this wasn’t, even into the gnarly stuff, yet durability. Wise redcat does leave a lot to be desired. This right here is a very capable truck this one.
Infelizmente, i did not get to actually test. I did the 100 millimeter desert, lizard shocks, medium springs with a light. Droop spring it’s got a lot of flex range to it. Just again it broke before. I could. Even test it all right so now that being said out of the butt, this thing’s a little spider and we’ll, have clips after we’re done talking about it, where this truck here was following his little blue rig back here, the element rc trail walker. This thing was following that through some pretty gnarly stuff, but for some reason, the diff, housings and axles and stuff don’t work out terribly well now keep in mind. This is a capri sun packet. We are still adults, we’re still playing with rc cars fight me all right, so these body clips hold in pretty nice. I did lose one. My first trip out and you’re gon na see probably that i have aluminum body posts in here that’s, because our boy tim you’ve, seen his rig in a couple of teaser clips of this truck it’s, the blue trx4. He backed into me and plowed my front posts out, and he also made it so i can make a finger puppet out of my body. Here’S regular he’s got a nice little hole in there. Travis has the stickers and stuff on his to make it look cooler. Sticker balls and everything – and i too have a capri sun fight me so here she is from the front now my bumper snapped off.
That was me being a trying to climb the porch mine’s been cut down yeah he trimmed his off right. Here you actually have pieces that come out with headlights on them i’m, not going to bother putting a new one on. I had ordered one, but then tim when he busted up my body. He bought me a chevy, c10 body and that’s going to go on this. So the stock shocks are like pudding compared to travis’s over here and now you can see i’ll pull mine around front and turn here, so they can see. You can see the difference in where the links are mounted down in here, and this is, as far as i know, this battery cable connector is redcat’s own proprietary thing. I’Ve, never seen this on any other vehicles that i’ve watched videos on now mind. You also right here you can see on the chassis. As i was saying, my shocks are laid back, so i actually moved my body posts and flipped everything so it’s back here my shocks. His are mounted right here. Mine are mounted right here and they’re upper row. So i actually lowered my center of gravity and laid my shots back for maximum flex again it’s a major bummer. This thing went down on me before i could even get some footage of it after the work and another thing he did to his is: he did some steering modifications to where he gets a lot more steering angle, if you watch right here with mine, might help If i turned on my radio that’s your steering angle it’s supposed to be, eu acredito, like 30, something degrees is what’s stopped and another thing about them is they’re super touchy.
If i were to barely hit this trigger, my truck could be running you guys over redcat makes a very hair trigger response, so i need to figure out how to smooth that out other than overly touchy response on these trucks. O 550 motor the hex fly esc. Realmente, the stock steering servo is pretty substantial. It just doesn’t offer much angle and it’s a little low on torque. I would upgrade maybe to 25 Para 35 kg on it, but other than that electronically. This is a pretty solid truck yeah. If i recall it’s a 17 turn motor in here with a 550 can and then it’s just some little cheap servo that doesn’t even have a name on it. It’S a hex fly, yeah and here’s. Another thing i don’t know if you can hear that i don’t think there’s even foams in these tires, because i mean you just squeeze it that’s. One thing i did learn: i tinker with wheels on everything from a real car, a motorcycle rc cars model cars. I play with wheels now there is foam in these it’s, just not the best, and these do have the breather holes in them, so they’ll actually reinflate themselves. Instead of some people with bead locks, they end up flattening and having to gut their wheels and put them back together. These have the breather hole in them. It’S just super soft foam yeah and this esc. Here this hex fly esc is lipo capable you can run a 2s in it where this crazy speed, demon rock bouncer thing back here.
The gen 8 can go up to 3s and we’ll. Do a video on that that’s a whole different animal, but they fixed some of the stuff that was wrong with this, but took away some of the good stuff too. Yeah you’ve got these little foam circles here that go between your posts and your body, and it comes with this. Hex fly 7.2 full nickel metal battery, and i was just driving this truck today. You can see it’s pretty dirty, so this is your stock battery that the truck comes with out of the box, and we ran for what probably a good 30 40 minutes run time more than yeah. I still have enough juice that if i wanted to go do some more crawling, i could so it’s got a decent battery life on this little nickel, Metal, battery and it’s just held in with these velcro straps right here. So overall, not a bad little truck. Plenty of adjustability i mean you, got holes drilled all over the place to move things around. You can bring your bumper out to where the front of your bumper would be touching my trigger right here in your back bumper, to where it would almost be touching. My body over here now, if you’re starting out, i would say this – is absolutely a solid truck it’s great for starters, but if you’re wanting to just get something and send it personally, i would not go with the red cat just due to the durability issues.
If this truck was built more durable, if it had more metal from the factory because that’s the main things that keep snapping as a plastic, you upgrade to metal, é, solid yeah. One thing too: i have emailed redcat, you know asking them questions about their vehicles, so i can fix them like this one. The gen8 puked a bunch of shock oil out within two hours of drive time, and i emailed them telling them what happened and they didn’t. Even say: Ei, Você sabe, that’s that sucks let’s, send you some shocks or you know they didn’t mention anything about warranty or anything. They just sent me this little sentence. It’S a 35.5 weight oil. So they you know they don’t even say hey. Você sabe. Can we help you with this? We want you to love our products, they just oh. This is what it is. They don’t they don’t offer any real customer service. Então, personally, a starter rig that my brother and i both agree that you should buy. Instead of these red caps, the element enduro the trail walker, this one out of the box comp ready, you can see i’ve cut my fenders added 1.9 wheels with a 4.65 outer diameter. Pitbull mad beast comp compound and it goes anywhere. I want it to yeah even bone stock. This truck will crawl as well, if not better than the gen 7 Aqui, but it’s far more reliable. I mean he cartwheeled this thing down a trail earlier.
It just caught a rock wrong and went end over end and nothing happened to it where this truck would have broke. Something so we’re going to be honest with you guys, decent starter truck, but honestly we’d go with the element, so anyway, guys we’re, going to cut right here to the footage of this truck running. Hope you guys enjoy that thanks for stopping by be sure to thumbs up subscribe, comment and share and we’ll see you next time, Música. I spend every sunday just living good. I might a little bit crazy every now and then maybe like to kick off my boots and get lazy just a redneck robin hood Music to the end of the dirt road there’s a place us country food, Embora, to have a good time.
