In case i do get the proper wheels and tires uh soon, which i don’t think i will and if i don’t i’ll just use these um lewis, basha tire and wheel, combo and i’ve been using on 40s car for a while. So do keep in mind that this reviews with these tyres, also as as i said, Não, have the proper tires um, so i’ve been using it mainly on grass because on any dusty surface the car won’t grip up at all. So what you do get in the kit is the car. Obviamente, a casca, shell is untrimmed and you have to provide your own paint and you have to put the stickers on yourself and all that you do get a wing that is very weird. Looking um, i haven’t seen an rc wing. Look like this before it’s very strange looking because usually that’s just flat. This wing actually has like a i don’t know. It has a very odd shape to it. So everything else you need to provide there’s, no electronics, há. No wheels that come with it, there’s no tires there’s, no tools. The only tool you get is this turnbuckle wrench um, obviously for like camber and stuff, the electronics around with this car is a cervox sc1251 mg black edition. Just because i know black suits the car better i’ve just got like a generic fly.
Sky receiver got um an xr10 just stock esc, which the motor is a just stock 13 and a half turn gt.1 competition. Motor and the fan i’m running is actually an esc fan because that’s all i had and most good fans are sold out now. I just use the servo extender to get the fan work. Como você pode ver, this motor is censored um. If you’re doing any competition stuff, i would recommend getting a sensor motor because you don’t want any cogging at all at the lower end of your rpm of the motor, because that’s just going to make your lap seems consistent unless you go fast around corners. The pros of this car is that it’s. Turning is nice and tight. Like look at this angle, it’s got really good. Transformando, especially for a truck chassis, um stadium, truck chassis like this is a really good turning circle. It steers on point um. Wherever you make the car turn, it will just go in saying that being two will drive as well and it depends what tyres you’ve got so on grass perfect, steering on loose dirt or road, not on rodents, consistent, é, controllable steering, but a dusty surface, not really Um but that’s got more to do with my ties to an actual car now, when the car does slide it’s very easy to catch um very consistent – and this is with me using the laydown free gear transmission as well. So you get two transmissions with this car as well.
You get the laydown and the lay back so never mind the lay back stealth transmission um. So that means the motor will be hanging off the back here, which i didn’t do, because i try something different for off road. I prefer to look i’ve laid down. I prefer to weight distribution of lay down and i just prefer handling and lay down. Maybe in the future, i’ll change my mind once i get actual tires on it and take it to a track, but um yeah at the moment, it’s just gon na be laid down and you do get sway bars with the car as well, which i didn’t put On um, but the handling on this car is just on point because you can’t floor it at all. The great thing about this car, too, is quality of the materials used, so the plastics feel nice and stiff um. They don’t feel like they’re, just gon na be brittle and break. Like my um, my ftx would um you’ve got carbon fiber shock towers. You got a three millimeter aluminium bottom chassis. You get uh chassis weights, which i left out and yeah it’s. Just a very well fought out car in most places. Now there are some things that i’m going to touch on that they’ve kind of oversaw a bit with this car um, but i’ll get into that later, so obviously with how well the car handles. While turning and the materials used, it’s a very stable car and a very reliable car too, como eu tenho, never felt like the cars being sketchy or anything and the car hasn’t broke at all.
I literally had a rock stuck in this gear, which in say your cheaper rc cars like a vrx, ftx, hsp or whatever um your spur gear would be gone, but the only thing that happened is just. I left a mark on the spur gear yeah, but it didn’t actually really ruin the spur gear spur is still perfectly fine. Just that shows that this car is really really reliable and well built. Um i’ve even hit it because obviously can’t take it to a track of these tires. Um i’ve actually hit it into a pole, not not very quickly but like a decent speed, and it did make a loud bang picked it up, and all that happened was a little ding here, that’s it so yeah. The car is extremely reliable and another benefit of getting um. This t 6.2 is the tune ability um with any team associated competition car, for that matter is to tune ability, so i’ll just go through them right now and list them all. So you have rear um pill adjustments, so you can give it more anti squat, more toe, less toe you know, pin height motor gearing is really easy to adjust. If you get like a strip out your pinion or whatever you literally just take off this bolt, you can put the pin in the other way, mas é, just a pain to swap the pinions out. So they’ve made it so you can actually put an opinion backwards, which is really good.
I like it like that, so it’s really easy to swap gear ratios. If you want to, maybe you know, make your motor less hot or you know give it more top end. Less top end you’ve got diff height adjustment, which you use with these little uh plastic inserts, which i’ll show a picture of um right now. You’Ve got different, gearboxes, obviously um adjustable slipper clutch. This gold thing here with the white that’s, the slipper and back here back here, is the bolt to actually adjust that so you want it tighter or more loose. Yesterday i used it. I tightened up about half a turn and yeah, hopefully that’s going to fix my slipping. It was just looking too much, but anyway you can adjust that you can adjust the camber all around. You can adjust the acumen with the washers on the ball studs. You can adjust the kick up with the front, so obviously the front being a two wheel, drive it’s angled. You can adjust the kick up with the bulkhead, so there’s a 30 degrees and a 25 degrees you get in the box. I chose 25 because that’s what the kit said to use um. Obviamente, if you’re in a more high grip situation, where you want more turn in you’ll, probably use 30 Graus, you got adjustable ride, height and preload. These little collars up here, which i’ve just left stock. You can adjust your wheelbase, so i didn’t even know you can adjust wheelbase.
I don’t know if i can really show you. If you look there this, it was really hard to see um there’s two washers there you take the washer from the front and put on the back and then i’ll shorten your wheelbase. When you take the washer from the back and put on the front to lengthen your wheel, hum, obviously off road, you want longer because it’s more stable and shorter on when you’re on a more grippy track, you get a sway bar you don’t get two sway bars. You get one that will obviously eliminate your roll. I didn’t use it just because you know that’s more for a high grip surface, just to stop traction rolling, mas um sim. You know not really needed on off road services unless you’re on, like a clay trap or something we don’t even have carpet traps in australia. So uh you got shock mount positions. So so you have two positions at the bottom. At the front, you got three positions at the front: uh front top. You got three positions at the back and you have one position at the bottom. I have one position at the bottom: if you’re using the shock on the rear, which um you would, if you’re off road, because you want more weight at the back um and at the front, you have two different positions, então sim. Obviamente, that way for an indoor track and that’s it for um shootability, just the car it’s, the car’s really really made for you to make it your own uh, with all different shootability options and that’s just that’s, just not the end of it there’s you can change The weight of your bulkheads you’ve got different weighted um c mounts and d mounts for your arms.
You’Ve got different motor mounts different slippers. You’Ve got all a variety of different things. You can change on this car to make it your own and make it perform the best at whatever you’re, using it at pros out of the way um the only problems i really have with this car. This spur cover. I don’t know why. The only this only got like a top bit here, it should have like a. I should be a little bit longer. I reckon you know, maybe a little bit more here, maybe a little bit more. There like it should be at least to that little kink in the mount, because you’re going to think when you’re going off road on a track, yeah and it’s a bit rocky or gravelly, and you turn the wheel in the wheels go: go in your shell. Bounce bounce bounce on it rocks always find their way to your gears so yeah they could have really fought that spur cover a little bit more through um. I would prefer a little bit more forward, mas sim. I think there are often market options for that i’m. Not too sure i have to look into it, mas um sim, that’s uh, one of the oversights for the spell cover and that’s, not a major over con either um that’s, just i don’t know more of a pet peeve than anything. My second problem is that this has a little bit of play in it um, as you can hear, and probably see, it’s moving in and out um and it clicks it should that shouldn’t be happening um at all, so yeah i’m not sure what what that would Be maybe your washer? Maybe it should be shimmed a little bit um, not too sure so.
It’S not gon na affect anything, but i don’t know it just feels like it shouldn’t be doing that at all. None of my other rc’s or any rc i’ve used really. It actually does that um yeah, Eu não, know it’s just a bit strange and also the steering um. So just in the manual it says, keep your steering horn at 90 degrees and bolt on blah blah blah blah blah blah. When your steering horn is at 90 Graus, let’s just do it now. OKEY, so steering horn is at 90 Graus. Do you see the problem it’s steering a little bit to its left um? So when you first run the car uh, you might want to trim your steering on your receiver a little bit. The reason. Why is because this washer here um? If this washer was a little bit thicker um? It would even out because it would push it more to the right, so we more straight yeah and also it’ll, make your end points a lot easier to fix up, because most people they most people, do their endpoints first, because they don’t want to destroy the servos And like flex, the chassis and all that – and i don’t want to you – know – bind up and break stuff yeah, so they do the end points and then they trim. But when you trim, you need to adjust the end points again, so i don’t know it just makes it a lot more time to get this card dialed in with the steering just because they have a slightly small ship um and again this isn’t, a major one.
É., just if your car is veering to the left a little bit it’s supposed to do that, just adjust it and yeah. Oh and i forgot to add that you need to actually unbuild these shocks yourself, é, not that hard to do um. This is patience to get a little all the air get out and yeah. So overall, this is a very good uh rc kit car, especially for competition use. I won’t. Let you down. It’S quality, reliable um materials are just way above average. The only thing unless they’re done is the spergy cover the play in the spur gear shaft from back to front and the steering link washer needs to be a little bit thicker just to make it less annoying and tedious. For the first run. When you do, you know dial the car in and also i’ve heard, that the older um 1060 kits actually do come with wheels and tires. Eu acho, but they definitely came with the wheels. I don’t know why the wheels so these wheels cost, like i don’t, know, 18 bucks for two of them. If i remember correctly, or maybe four of them, i don’t know i’ll put a image up of what it was it’s just they’re really cheap. I don’t know why the current just included in the kit, it would have made it less of a pain in the ass, to be honest, just buy separately that’s. All the negatives are with this car everything else, cars perfect and if you buy one, you won’t be disappointed, especially if you’re using it for a track running video should be coming out uh soon, when i have the time um and hopefully with the proper tyre and Wheel, combo these aren’t even a proper wheels by the way.
These are short course. These are um trophy truck wheels because they’ve got the bigger inside and a little outside. These are proper wheels, but the tires are sold out fun, but yeah i’ll see you guys.
