Traxxas Rustler 4×4 Instalação do kit de luz VXL

Now i was hoping to do a video of the light kit, as well as a few other accessories that i was going to be installing, like the chassis, brace and all that kind of stuff, but those parts have not come in yet so this video is just Going to be installing the light kit on the wrestler, so if you’re, if you’ve got a wrestler or you’re thinking about getting a wrestler and you’re thinking about getting the light kit, this is the video for you. So i got everything out of the box and the install does look very, very simple. You know being that this is a traxxas accessory kit. They always do a very good job of making it as simple as possible to upgrade whatever you’re upgrading and i think, it’s really neat, because in the instructions, the first thing you do is you remove the roof. Skid and you end up using this template and this template, is they show you where you need to cut and what i think is really really cool. Is that these little holes right here, these little kind of notches line up with the holes on the roof and then there’s these little notches in the template? So you, this is going to be very, very simple to line up because they actually have it here and then you just know that you’re just able to do this tiny little cut.

You can kind of go in with a reamer and then finish off with scissors. Like they’re showing here, but this should be pretty simple and if you guys are new to the channel, i don’t do full on step by step. Uh type instructions or time lapses, or anything like that. I don’t make people sit through that because i always kind of skip over that so i’m just going to get into it. If i notice anything that i feel like you guys should know, i’ll uh well, i’ll show you all right guys. So this is what i was getting at. Como você pode ver, the tape just goes on. I mean because this is all this is it’s kind of like a masking tape, um and you just line it up with the two holes. So these are where the screws were for the the roof skid. So you just got to put this on and then, like, i said, we’re going to ream this out. Get this this whole opening out, and i mean it doesn’t even have to be exactly perfect uh, because all you’re doing is feeding the wires through here. So it’s not like you know, there’s a mount or something like that: that’s actually going to go there or anything. É., just so that this is a nice open area you can put the wires through. You don’t have to worry about the wires rubbing on the body or anything like that.

Eu., you could probably even throw like let’s say a little bit of loom or something uh close to where the wires are just so that it doesn’t rub on the body and kind of cut them or anything like that. But anyways let’s keep going all right guys. The next part of the install is the front bumper. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to pull these two screws out right here, there’s three underneath, hopefully you guys can see that these three right here, we’re gon na pull those off this will drop out and then we’ll put the new bumper on and That’Ll, be it for that all right, so i’ve got the front bumper installed, so the led’s installed. I went ahead and mounted this little module, Isto é, the one that controls the connectors for the lights and all that kind of stuff. I’Ve got that in these holes. Right here, Espero, you guys can see well kind of can see it right there they’re just not tapped into the chassis. So just when you’re doing it just you know, take your time make sure you do a good job. So you don’t end up going in on an angle or anything like that and ruining them, but what we’re going to do now guys is this now i know some of you are probably like no big deal blah blah blah, but i have when i was first Looking at this, i was like what the heck is this.

Do i got to pull the connector apart? What do i got to do and you don’t have to, according to the instructions which are obviously right, because it’s fractious traxxas? What you’ve got to do? Is this thing here? Hopefully you guys can see, i know it’s kind of far away slides into the connector and then there’s this piece here that will then screw over top. So you just kind of end up with like a giant connector it’ll be like well again. It’Ll, be that big, so it’ll be a lot. You know just bigger it’s, one of the reasons that i didn’t actually switch. My connectors over to ic5s, which is usually what i run in ic5s or ec5s, is because i knew i was going to run in the light kit. Now yeah you can always just it. You could literally just unsolder these tabs i’m. Sorry guys it looks kind of a little blurry there we go, you could unsolder these tabs and just if you were doing a new connector solder them right onto the connector, it would work but again, knowing that my kids were going to be running these. So i wasn’t you know looking to have you know hardcore performance. I knew i wasn’t going to be. You know changing out the electronics or anything like that. I want to make sure i can keep the warranty on all the electronics and keep all that stuff good. Então isso é, why i just stuck with the traxxas connectors but anyways? What i’m going to do is i’m going to move the camera into a different position so that you guys can see me putting this together and again.

I have not done this. I don’t know what i’m doing so if it takes longer, it takes longer Music, Música, Música, todos os caras bem. So i got everything connected and you know what i probably made a bigger deal out of what this actually was. You know when i was looking at the instructions in the beginning of how to install this. I didn’t know if i was removing part of the connector or what was going on and then again when you read the instructions and you look at them. It clearly shows what you’re doing, but you know what this was really simple guys. It literally just the bottom part here it slides on it goes in it makes contacts with the you know, the the stock plug and then there’s. Just this piece just goes on. You put in your two screws and you’re good to go, and what i’m thinking what’s kind of nice about this is: is that for testing purposes we should just be able to plug the battery in, and everything should turn on, because this isn’t going through the esc, It’S connecting right at the battery, you know if i haven’t already mentioned um and i think i did but i’ll mention it again. You know if you did, if you had remove these connectors and let’s, say you’re running an xt90 or an ic5, ou algo assim. You know you could just literally cut these wires strip them and solder them again into the battery connector you’re using so it’s, not that you have to use this traxxas connector, but again this just you know.

Obviamente, if you are, it makes it a little bit easier. Keeps everything stock looking, but what i want to do now is i’m going to get the uh reposition. The camera and i’ll get the body on and i’ll show you guys exactly how this is going to all right guys there you have it it’s all done and it looks wicked. You know i feel like i should say this because i’m, assuming this video is probably longer than five minutes. This whole kit probably took about five minutes to install uh. Obviamente, with you know, doing a video you’re stopping starting all that kind of fun stuff, but it really took nothing. Everything goes together. Super easy um. I love the way everything looks you know even on the top of the skid what’s kind of nice is. If you look at the stock, one it’s kind of open up here, so what they’ve done here is you’ve got the light bar, but then they still have this kind of plastic piece on top, which obviously just adds, like you know, protection for the light bar and Stuff like that, so i think that’s really really cool, and then you get obviously the red lights on the rear. Nwo, unlike some of the other kits so, por exemplo,, the traxxas max light kit that you know is a little bit more um there’s a little bit more going on for the install on that you can use the bluetooth module and you can actually program.

I think the rear light bar to do different things and stuff like that. That is not the case with this one you’ve got red lights back here, white in the front and then the front bumper and the roof skid. But again it goes together. Guys really really well it’s super easy and it definitely adds a little bit of character to the rustler um. You know right from the beginning, i knew i was gon na have the light bar. I actually ordered them together. They came at the same time. So really really happy guys with how this looks. What i’m going to do now, Embora, is i’m going to take it outside get a couple of picks. Like i mentioned, it is super gloomy outside, so the body itself won’t kind of stand out that much, but hopefully the lights will look cool but guys there you have it.
