We are going to do a speed test comparison of both of these 116 scale budget rc’s, the besgard 6 on your right and on the left, the drc16889. Both trucks share a lot of similarities with just a few subtle differences, so without further ado, let’s get to the speed test and i’ll give you my comparative thoughts. Applause, one of the differences in in these two vehicles. Guys Applause, is the battery. The besgard 6 comes with a Music 7.4 volt 1000 milliamp hour 2s lipo battery. These things are squirrely Applause and on either one of these, the dual rates for steering. You cannot uh. You cannot adjust the steering dual rate so i’m, trying to record and uh keep this thing in a straight line at the same time, but we’ve definitely maxed it out here and let’s have a look all right, peak speed. You can see they’re 17 miles an hour on the bezgar 6, with a 2 cell lipo battery. So if you hang on a second i’ll zero out, the speed meter slap it on the other truck and we’ll see if there’s any difference. Okay, now it’s time with the uh drc16889. Like i said, one of the differences between these rigs is a battery. This one does not come with a light bulb. Is a 7.4 volt lithium ion 800 milliamp hour battery Applause, all right there. We have it guys both trucks, both hitting a peak speed of 17 miles an hour as you can see there so uh.
You know sharing so many similarities. Uh. There are a few differences with both of these trucks, a small price difference as of right now and if you hang tight, we’ll head back upstairs and i’ll get to the differences in these trucks in just a second okay guys. So i thought i’d wrap up this video with a quick comparison of these two trucks, realizing that uh two weeks from today is christmas eve, so there’s still plenty of time to go out there and uh. You know if you want pick one of these up for your kids uh still definitely time to do that before christmas and i’ll try and keep this brief. I was gon na throw some running videos in with this and uh. You know i’ve already got running videos out there, so, in addition to the speed test, i’ll go over both of these real quick because they are so similar, uh number one. The bodies on these trucks are exactly the same, just different pain schemes, but totally uh totally. The same body style, same dimensions and everything uh with that being said, you know the chassis. Everything is the same same esc, receiver, combo. The only difference on the bezgar truck is that the on off switch is located on the side of the chassis here, whereas on the drc it’s, you have to lift your finger up under the little the lid a little bit to turn it on not a big Deal tires on these trucks are exactly the same.
The drc has a decal going around, but the tires are exactly the same size. The same tread everything with the tires and wheels are the same on the drc. I don’t know if you’ll be able to see it from here. You’Ll just have to trust me. Uh the wheels are held on with screws that screw into the axle and on the bezgar you’ve got your more traditional, locking, wheel, nuts and uh same motor same heat sinks, same light kits. Everything is the same, all the same components on the chassis as far as uh. As far as the arms and everything all very similar, the differences there’s a few and there’s uh, you know kind of uh. For me, the biggest the biggest one on the uh besgar 6 is oil filled, shucks, it’s, uh, it’s, really nice on an rc, especially at this price point that you get oil filled, shocks versus the uh pogo. Stick shocks friction shocks that you get on the drc and uh see other few differences that we’ve got here: metal, dog bones and drive cups on the bezgar. As we see here on the drc, plastic drive, shafts, uh plastic drive cups, uh, pretty much. Almost everything on on the drc is uh is plastic. So if you’re watching this and you’re wondering which one to get um, you know it comes down to preference comes down to how much you want to spend on these right now. Looking today on amazon, the drc ravage right now, i think, is right: around 74 plus tax, the best car six right now, i think, is around 94.
95, so about a 20 uh, a 20 difference between these trucks. Both trucks also use the exact same transmitter as well. So you got some nice metal upgrades on the bezel. You’Ve got the oil shocks the uh. I thought i set it off to the side here with the bezgar. You get two two cell lipos, you get the nice little carrying case, uh, lightbulb storage bag that you can safely charge and store your batteries in. Do i feel that the components on this truck were worth a 20 upgrade? Absolutely, although i will say that i’ve had zero issues with the drc, this thing has been a tough little bugger it’s held up to a lot of abuse, and i haven’t broken anything same can be said to this one, like i said, just about a 20 price Difference um with the upgrades on this one here i really don’t think you can go wrong with either truck, and i just i thought, i’d put this video out there because we are drawing closer uh to the holidays and i thought i would try and throw some Together, if, if somebody out there was watching this and looking to get one, you know for their kid on christmas, i really don’t think you can go wrong, especially for a first timer. I like the fact that they give you the the lipo charging bag and storage bag, helps, keep things just a little bit safer. So what i’ll do is i’ll throw links down below this video for both of these trucks and uh non affiliate links.
So don’t worry about any of that. I just thought i’d, throw some on there to help you guys out.
