, but first and foremost a huge shout out, and thank you to the largemouth lexus here in murray for providing us with both The cars check out their inventory in the link below let’s just get straight into the video now let’s go into the hoods of both of the cars starting over here with the is 350, so we have a naturally aspirated 3.6 liter v6. That goes through a six speed. Automatic transmission fuel economy is 19 around town and then 26 on the highway, with power, outputs being 311 horsepower and then 280 pound feet of torque and guess what the rc 350 has the exact same setup. So same power, outputs same transmission, same driveline. Everything is all the same between both of the cars, so yeah everything under the hood. All the same let’s go over the front end of both of the vehicles starting over here with the is 350 you can see, first and foremost, just completely different design. Everything looks just a little bit sharper on the is 350. I love these new upgraded lights. I love how the little led light there. Mimics the lexus logo you’ve got the projector bulbs as well parking sensors all along the front, and then yes, that lexus logo is actually a sensor as well. Yeah overall looks really aggressive, really modern and then coming over to the rc everything’s, just a little bit bigger a little bit more rounded off in terms of the lights, i think i, like the rc lights a little bit more.
This is kind of cool. What they’ve done with the little lexus logo led accent, light right there. I love how they have the three lights in a line as well just really unique in general yeah. Overall, this is kind of like just larger a little bit more rounded off smaller, but then it’s also sharper, not exactly sure which one’s my favorite, but i like the look of both of them now let’s go over the tire and wheel setup of both of the Cars so we’ve got two 35 millimeter tires over in the rc 235 over on the is 19 inch wheels on both of them for the front. Now the rear is a little bit different if we pop over to the rear 265 millimeter, but we’ve got 235 millimeter over there, so the is wins to an extent and in terms of the design i love the coloration on the is wheels. It almost looks like chrome in terms of the finish it’s really clean in general, the rc still looks good it’s, just not the same um but yeah. I think both of them look good. I just think the is looks a little bit nicer. As for the rest of the or the side of it, you can see the look of the mirrors here on the is versus the rc, pretty similar setup right there and then obviously the rc is a two door, whereas the is is a four door. So you have the two door: look versus the four door.
Look now let’s go into the trunks of both of the vehicles so starting over here with the is 350 you can see. Storage space back here is actually really solid. The opening it’s just really easy to get things back here in general, just because of how the opening is formatted and then going over to the rc. You can see that it’s pretty much the exact same setup back here. You’Ve got about the same amount of storage space, the openings about the same so overall from like a storage perspective with the trunk it’s about the same let’s, go over the rest of the design here in the rear of both of the cars so starting over here With the is 350 just looks really sharp and aggressive again i love the new led lights. They just have a really cool look to them and i love how they continue it all the way across the car kind of like a little light bar right there. You have dual eyelet exhaust here on the is350 and the diffuser down there. Just all looks really aggressive it’s called little f sport badge. You do get parking sensors here on the back as well, but you got that like really aggressive sedan, look coming to the rc! It actually looks somewhat like a sedan from the back, even though this is a coupe just with kind of how it’s angled and everything, but again still really nice led lights here in the back.
You’Ve got all the badging here, it’s actually finished in chrome. I love the venting there on the side of the rc and then the exhaust tips. I think they look cool. I like the ones on the is more, but i think these ones still look really cool, but i want you guys, let me know which rear end. You prefer, i kind of like the is 350 a little bit more, but again they both look really good popping in the back of the is 350 and so you’ve got soft touch all along the door panel right here and then coming around to the seat. They actually have these really nice seats here on the is 350, so soft touch leather, all the way down the seat. You’Ve got really nice wide stitching all throughout and you have the perforated leather with like the little rivets in it, but we’re actually gon na pop. In and sorry my hair’s a mess but it’s windy. Today, oh a little bit difficult to get back here you can see headroom’s actually pretty decent and then you can see my legroom is also well it’s. Okay, but honestly, my head touches the roof. When i like fully extend just you guys, know there’s the vents here in the is 350 and then you actually have some cup holders, you press this little button and then those will pop out with the is 350 so overall, really nice interior on the back end.
Just not necessarily the largest as for the back seats with the rc 350. Well, yes, guys! I will do this for you, so we’re gon na step back here got ta, be careful not to uh touch anything, because this car is really nice, but you guys can see um a little bit more cramped than the s350. You still get vents back here, which is pretty neat no uh cup holder thing. The seats are just as nice, like the seats really nice back here, like everything, is really nice back here. Material wise, like a soft touch, all over everything, just like everything’s, nice it’s. Just it’s cramped and um yeah let’s, head back to the, is now here’s a door panel with the is so you’ve got this nice soft touch all along the door panel and then you’ve got all the controls for the windows. You’Ve got your door lock and unlock your mirror controls as well and then coming over to the seats here at the front. So you’ve got really nice. Leather you’ve got perforations all throughout the center on the seat, so these really cool rivets and then all along the side. The bolsters are really soft to the touch here with the is 350 and then you have your power adjustment there on the side of the seat and then there’s a quick look at what the pedals look like and then you’ve got a little release for the front And then you have the trunk as well and then you got the paddles there on the back, but there’s one more look before we quickly go over the interior.
So if you want a more in depth, look at the interior on the is just go check out. My is 350 review, but you can see. You’Ve got soft touch leather at the top and at the bottom of the steering wheel and you’ve got perforated leather there on the side of the steering wheel, so it’s a little bit, grippier you’re actually going to grab it. You’Ve got the paddle shifters there on the back of the steering wheel, and you can see this is the controls there for the little center secure pages button that’s the lane departure assistance, your collision assistance cruise control is just hiding there on the back and then you’ve Got this for the volume your phone controls, voice, command controls all that a little stock for the lights, windshield wiper stock. On the other side, that is the steering wheel, the is, and then you can see here in the center screen, you’ve got a little center stack right there and the pages button that actually moves that back and forth, which i think is pretty cool. And then, yes, you have the information you can scroll through pretty standard setup. Nothing too crazy. Just vehicle information messages, all that kind of stuff that you’d want to see on a car with the drive modes. It does change it with the is so you got the eco mode, you push in for the normal mode, and then you go back over for the sport mode makes it look all like white and red and aggressive.
I think it just looks really cool in general and then coming over to the center infotainment system. First off. If we pop into reverse, you can see the backup camera’s got these little trajectory lines that will turn with the steering wheel and as for the rest of the uh infotainment system itself, you can see that, as i press a button response times really good, but it’s Also, a touch screen and response time with the touchscreen is actually pretty solid. You can see that i can press a couple of these controls and it happens pretty much instantaneous with me pressing the control. You can also control it via keypad i’ll show you guys a keypad in just a moment, but you can do touch screen or keypad, whichever you prefer got a couple vents down in this area, with the little is350 clock and the climate controls are actually pretty cool. As well, so if i pop the climate on, you can see here with the temperature raising and lowering, it really really easy to do, and i just love like the feedback on it and just like how it looks in general, with the climate controls and i’m actually Going to turn that off because yeah anyways we’ve got a couple controls for the radio right here and then you can see. You’Ve got your controls for the heated, ventilated seats and the heated steering wheel as well, and then here is the shifter for that six speed automatic transmission.
Again, you can manually shift the gears yourself if you’d like with the shifter or with the paddles again. This is the drive mode select just right next to the shifter, and then you have your snow mode, your stability control, and then this is your auto hold and then just down here we’ve got a little keypad right here to control the touchscreen and then the shortcut Buttons as well a couple of cupholders and then we can see, we’ve got the center console, which is really nice. Decent amount of storage space within the center console there’s a couple of usbs and a 12 volts in there as well and then finally, coming over to the glove box. Well, not finally we’re almost finally, but you can see you got a little storage shelf right there in the glove box. I really like the stitching just up above and here at the top. There is a traditional little sunroof, nothing too crazy, full black headliner up here, and that is everything for the is let’s over to the rc now here’s the door panel with the rc. So you can see you’ve got a bunch of soft touch with stitching here on the side of the door panel and then you’ve got all the window. Controls mirror controls. Remember this is a coupe, so it’s a bigger door and then you do have memory seats with the rc as well. I love the little f sport plaque right there and then coming to the seats themselves really nice.
I love all of the padding right here. The stitching that goes throughout the perforations in the center are really nice and then the bolsters here on the side really nice as well, and then you see the bolster just down below again just really nice material you’ve got your adjustments on the side of the seat And then you can see the pedal layout just at the bottom and then you’ve got the latch for the hood and then the trunk and then see over here. You’Ve got the stuff for the blind spot, monitoring the parking sensors, the lights as well. Your little trip computer steering wheel adjustment there’s the look of the back of the paddles, but there’s one more look before we pop in now. Here is the steering wheel with the rc350. You can see that you’ve got the soft touch light at the top and at the bottom, with little f sport, logo and then you’ve got the perforated leather on either side. That is going to help. You get a little bit more grip with the steering wheel, notice that all the controls are the same as what you get on the is 350, so you can see steering wheel setup that is all the same and then here in the gauge cluster. Everything is the same down to the drive modes. You can see that all functions the same so like if you went from either car everything would be the same except you get a sport plus mode in this where the is350 didn’t have that.
So you can see the difference, you got the sport and then the sport plus, which just looks really aggressive now the other difference is actually with the infotainment system itself, so you can see that just uh lightly pressing. This is not a touch screen. You still get a really good camera on it with the parking sensors, but you have to control everything on this touchscreen via the keypad and the buttons. So the is has a little bit nicer infotainment system compared to this rc from a touch screen perspective. Now, just down below you see, you’ve got a little lexus clock with the vents and then the climb control section. This is all the same compared to the is 350 and they can see down here. You’Ve got their heated seats and air conditioned seats, heated steering wheel as well with a little shifter again for that six speed, automatic transmission, little drive mode sucks. You can see how this whole area is the same. The keypad is the same as well and then coming over here we can see that we’ve got a couple cup holders the center console. Even this whole setup is the same and then coming down to the glove box. That is all the same as well, and this is just a little bit different because there’s like that stitching in the is 350 and then finally, coming up to the top. Here we get a sunroof but it’s like a double sunroof it’s weird.
It has like this double thing and by the way the headliner here is really soft. The is 350 had like the scratchy cloth. This has the much softer cloth, so you get a little bit nicer, headliner in the rc Applause, Music, Applause, Music, Applause, Music, Applause, Music, let’s, go get over pricing on both the is350 and the rc 350.. So the is350 stickers are about 48 000. The rc stickers for about 59 dollars, so there’s been an eleven thousand dollar price difference between both of the vehicles last year. If you’re looking at both of these cars, then it would have made a little bit more sense to get the rc because it was like the newly redesigned car looked really good, but now that they’ve redesigned the is 350 the fact that it has the four doors. So it’s a little bit more practical and it has a little bit better tech compared to the rc and it’s significantly less expensive than the rc makes it a better value, in my opinion, so i’m picking the is350 as today’s winner. I want you guys.
