First and foremost, though, a huge shout out and thank you to the larry miller lexus here in murray, for providing us with this rc check out them between the link below let’s get straight into the video. Now under the hood of the rc 350. We have a naturally aspirated 3.5 liter v6. It goes through a six speed. Automatic transmission fuel economy is 19 around town and then 26 on the highway, with power, outputs being 311 horsepower and then 280 pound feet of torque let’s go over the front end of the rc 350.. So, first and foremost, i love those two body lines that come directly down to the front. Fascia just makes it look a whole lot more aggressive, and i love how big the hood looks on the rc 350. It almost looks like a mini lc 500 it’s. Pretty neat and then coming up to the headlights themselves: they’re really distinctive. I love how they have the three lights in a row with a little lexus check. Mark right check mark right next to them, and then you see you’ve got parking sensors along the front that lexus logo actually doubles. As a sensor and yeah. We got the little uh venting action happening on the side, but at least it looks cool but yeah. Overall, the front end looks absolutely fantastic, looks really aggressive and sporty come here on the side here, i’ve got two 35 millimeter tires on 19 inch wheels in the front and over in the rear, as well as for the design on the wheels they kind of do This, like brushed aluminum type, look for the coloration on the wheels which i think looks pretty good, it’s kind of like a typical luxury car look and then coming up.
You got a little f sport badge there on the side, but this side view is absolutely beautiful. I just love the sleek line, since this is a two door. It just comes together so beautifully how they have that line straight across the car. Just overall looks fantastic Music coming to the back of the rc 350. You can see that storage space back here is actually pretty decent. You can see it goes back pretty far as well. You’Ve got all the floor. Mats back here and we’ve got the lexus first aid kit. Of course you can’t go without that, but the thing i love is how this kind of comes down here, so it makes the opening really easy to get into, and so it makes you can just like basically throw stuff right in, especially with how low the car Is so in general storage space in the back is really good, here’s, the back end of the rc 350, so, first and foremost, again just the beautiful body lines, it looks absolutely fantastic, especially from this three quarters angle. Now, coming up, i love the new led lights that they released in the 2020 model year. Just looks so much cleaner compared to the previous rc. This looks a whole lot more modern as well. I love the venting just down here on the side again makes it a little bit more aggressive. Now the exhaust tips, i think it looks pretty cool the overall design, not my favorite necessarily, but i think it goes the design very well on the rc and then yeah.
You got your f sport, badging and your all wheel drive and your rc350 badge. Nothing too crazy. There yeah overall, really good. Looking from the rear, as you can see, the rc 350 does in fact have back seats, and i am in fact gon na pop in here. So let’s actually step in got ta, be careful don’t want it scratch against anything it’s a brand new car we’re, all good, so i’m 511 and i don’t really fit back here. But i decided to come back here for comedic relief for the video you can see. You get a couple vents back here and it’s, actually really nice, like especially the speaker and like the leather and everything like they did a really good job with the material used back here, it’s just um. Well, as you can see, you can’t have legs and you want to be really short as well so like. If you have a friend that has no legs and they’re short, the back of your rc is going to be the best place possible for them. But again, it’s cool, it’s cool back here now take a look at the door panel here with the rc350, so you can see you’ve got this really nice stitching. That goes all throughout the door panel and then you’ve got all the soft touch and we’ve got all our window. Controls that that stitching kind of leads to we’ve got your mirror adjustments as well. Overall, the trim of the door is pretty neat.
I love the little f sport badge right there and then coming to the seats. These seats are absolutely fantastic, so they look beautiful, but not only that they’ve got nice perforations there on the center they’re extremely soft, with the bolsters, especially these bottom bolsters right here. They’Re just really comfortable to sit in in general, and then you can see you’ve got the pedal layout there at the bottom got our light controls right here. This is for the parking sensors. The blind spot monitoring got your adjustment on the side of the steering wheel. Little paddle shifter on the back and other than that there’s, your full frontal view let’s pop in now here’s the steering wheel for the rc350. You can see you’ve got smooth leather at the top and at the bottom, yet little f, sport logo as well, and then you’ve got the perforated leather on the side. So it’s a little bit, grippy you’re actually going to grab the steering wheel and then see here. You’Ve got the controls to the center stack your pages button. This is your back button, your lane departure assistance and then this for your collision assistance paddles on the back, so you can shift the gears yourself and then this is your volume control right here: phone control and voice command control just down below, and then you got A little stock for the lights and then the other side. You got the stock for the windshield wipers and that’s the steering wheel here in the center stack.
You can see that you’ve got kind of like an analog gauge, but you also have that screen on the side. The screen just gives you different bits of information on the vehicle. Your message is info on the safety tech. Nothing too crazy with that screen. Now, with the other screen, it’s pretty cool, because you press pages button yeah, you can move it backwards and forwards. I think that’s a pretty neat feature now with the drive modes. It’S pretty neat, so you pop it over to eco. It kind of changes it up. You press it in for the normal changes up a little bit. Sport looks cool. Sport plus looks cooler just like what the lc 500 has. I absolutely love the look of that and that’s the gauge cluster here’s, the center infotainment system. Just so you know it is not a touch screen, but first off we’ll go over the camera aspect. Again, you have those parking sensors and the trajectory lines do turn with the steering wheel on this camera system. Now, as for the rest of this infotainment system, it’s controlled via a keypad it’s actually really easy to use now. The interesting thing is, i just reviewed an is350 before this and that had a touchscreen as well as the keypad, which was pretty neat it’s, interesting, that the rc, the more expensive variant doesn’t have a touchscreen, but anyways it’s easy enough to use – and i mean you Basically, just go with a little keypad, you press the controls and i’ll show you guys the keypad in just a moment, but other than that.
I think it’s, a pretty good infotainment system other than the fact that it’s, not a touchscreen like in the new is350. Just down below we’ve got a little clock there with the vents, and then we have the climate controls, which i love the climate controls here in the rc. So you can control the temperature of that little dial right there. If you just want a little bit, you just kind of tap it just a little bit, but then, if you want to go up really fast, then you just slide backwards and forwards. Pretty neat functionality on it. I just really like it in general, now, just below we’ve got the little analog radio controls and then just in this area, we’ve got the heated seats, the ventilated seats and then the heated steering wheel right next to it got really nice stitching and soft touch right In that little area and then here’s the shifter for the six speed automatic again, you can shift the gears yourself with that little button right there or you can use the paddles and then coming over here we’ve got the little drive mode. Select you’ve got the eco, the normal and then the sport, and then the sport plus your snow mode. Your stability control to turn that, on or off your auto hold as well, and i said button by button – i meant you pull it over and you guys get what i mean and then this is the keypad to control the infotainment system.
Again, you just use this little thing right here and then you have a little menu button, pretty straightforward on that nothing too crazy, some cup holders in the center console and then really nice soft touch leather on the top of the center console opening it up. You’Ve got some usbs and a 12 volt inside of it, and then you actually have this really nice wood trim here at the top of the glove box and then opening up the glove box, pretty normal setup. You have a little shelf inside of it and finally finishing things up. We have the top here, so you actually do get a center. Now center is weird: you have these two parts to it, so you click it back and then you click it back. A little bit different definitely not used to that with a sunroof, but i mean i can at least appreciate it. And then you have all the controls for the center to open and close it just right there in that little area, and then, by the way, the headliner is very, very soft. Now that we’re done going over the interior on this rc 350 let’s quickly get into pricing. So in terms of pricing, this rc 350 stickers for about 59 000 before any type of market adjustment. That all being said, let’s take this rc 350 out and see how it drives. I totally just gave myself a lisp there, i’m, keeping that in the video, because it’s funny, but let’s go Music Applause, Music Applause, Music, let’s, talk about visibility here in the rc 350.
Before we set off so you can see visibility over the hoods really good, and i love the soft touch leather here at the top there’s, your visibility through both the mirrors and they do have blind spot monitoring and then here’s your visibility all throughout the rear. So visibility in general is actually pretty decent here with the rc 350 and that all being said, let’s set off let’s initially set off here in this 2021 lexus rc, 350 and first off with the ride quality it’s really smooth. I am so impressed. I just drove the is350 before this, and i was really impressed with the ride quality on that really impressed with the ride quality on this rc 350 as well. So nice in terms of the installation of the cabin from a noise perspective really good as well. So like overall just it’s super good from both perspectives and the brakes stopping here brakes are actually pretty good. Don’T worry got the turn signal on again, not going to be a stereotypical, bmw driver but yeah so far. First, impressions on the rc, it’s, actually really really nice um, and the other thing i wanted to mention is the seat. The seat’s very, very comfortable to sit in it holds you in place it’s a little bit stiffer than the seat that was in the is 350 that i just drove um that’s. One difference that i am noticing right off. The bat between the two cars we’ll see how the steering feels here, steering’s really light, but i mean it’s actually direct enough yeah.
It feels a little bit better than the is almost a little bit heavier compared to that car. I know i’m comparing them a lot, but i just drove them back to back and they’re super similar cars. They have the same transmission same engine and they’re, both all wheel drive. Just one has two doors and one has four doors. Don’T worry. I filmed a comparison but yeah that’s, why i’m making so many comparisons between the two cars um, but yeah so far, the rc it’s really nice as like a luxury car. Now we are gon na get an acceleration here with the rc350. She sounds pretty good yeah. This actually accelerates really well. The transmission shifts really quick and again comparing this back to the is they feel about the same. This almost sounds louder though yeah i don’t know. If they’re pumping sound like it sounds natural like it, doesn’t sound like speakers or anything um like my raptor has but yeah. It sounds like it’s louder than the is i don’t i don’t know if they did the exhaust ladder or what they did, but this this sounds a little bit louder. I actually really like the feeling of the acceleration it’s more than enough power. No 300 horsepower doesn’t sound like a lot but it’s more than enough in this car. This isn’t a crazy, crazy, big car it’s a little bit on the heavier side, but it’s, not crazy by any means. Um yeah from a performance aspect, it’s actually pretty good, and obviously, if you want more performance well there’s this thing called the rc f and that thing’s crazy.
If you want crazy acceleration, but let’s actually get into summing things up with this rc350. So i love the fact that they make an all wheel, drive rc, because, yes, if you want crazy performance, you can get the rear wheel, drive rcf, but if you want a winter daily driver car that would work right here in utah, then you’ve got the rc 350, all wheel drive the v6, like i said, it’s a decent amount of power and then let’s get to the interior and exterior so from an interior perspective, the materials top notch. Everything feels very well built, like it’s gon na last, a long time and although the seats aren’t as comfortable as the is350 that i just drove, i still like them because they hold you in place really well now, from the exterior perspective, this rc 350 is absolutely Gorgeous it is such a good. Looking car definitely turns heads and it’s just yeah. They just nailed it with the design on this car and with that new is 350 as well. The design on both them is just really solid and so yeah from an exterior perspective looks absolutely fantastic and so as an overall package. If you’re looking for a really good, looking reliable luxury car coupe, i should say not car, because it doesn’t have four doors.
