Ever since i did the aluminum kit, which is very disappointed with in the 3s upgrade or not 3s, the brushless upgrade and 3s battery, as you can see from driveshafts hanging out of it bottom driveshaft back, there is disconnected we’re going to get the motor put back In it we’re putting the ghoul rc uh, what is it? ’00 kv motor we’re, putting that back in it and putting the google rc 60 amp esc back in it that’s going to go back in there we’re on our 3s we’re going to change all these junk. Aluminum parts at least most of them, the ones with moving moving parts on them back to the plastic ones, the stock ones, where the links aren’t all sloppy and junk we’re gon na put them in it, and then we’re gon na rerun this car and see how It does all right. I got my axle put back in uh that little spot slipped out of this joint. This is an allen key that holds it in it’s, been so long since i have it apart. I couldn’t remember why or what was missing but that’s all together the drive trains all together front drive. Shaft is back in not sure if there’s a screw inside the diff that holds this piece in but it’s in there it’s kind of snug. If it comes out, it might just turn into two wheel drive because you got ta pull everything up here apart to make it to get the front diff apart, but i got the motor bolted back onto the mounting plate.
This mounting plate’s a little bit from when i had it in my other car and i hit the wall and destroyed it, but it sits straight. Just fine, now we’re gon na put the little spur gear on here and when you put the spur gear on. Oh, you got to get this mounted in here and when you put the spur on you just want to make sure you get the your clearances correct on this, or else you shred, this plastic gear that’s one of the major things you got ta look out for When you’re installing the motor you get that right, it’s hard to screw it up, but it’s, pretty simple got the motor all bolted in. I got my gears all correct correctly, lined up and squared away. Now i can throw this cover back on, which will keep the stuff from protected from dirt and sand, and all that and also it holds this this gear in right now, it’s just kind of floating there, but that’ll keep that all intact. So we’ll get that on and then we’ll begin switching these parts out. So we got some of the parts switched over to the plastic ones that i was putting back in and i’m leaving the ones these ones that are here in it. I still got ta fix. My shock mounts and i got uh some of these old ones. Here you can see what was happening like where the little ball and socket is the little ring that goes around here.
They’Re popping out on these, which find one with one in it yeah that outside aluminum ring those keep popping out on me that’s. Why i don’t like this kit, but the steering tools, another thing anytime: it moves freely that bracket, but anytime there’s any pressure like pushing where my arm goes. This sticks and it will not turn so we got to pull this out and i’m guessing the cameras. Don’T want to focus i’m guessing it’s the sharp edges up on here. I need to file them down. I think they’re catching on it and causing uh, causing it to jam up when i’m trying to turn it’s constantly too it’s, not just once in a while. So i’ll clean those up get the tie. Rod ends back on and get this linkage hooked back up to this and get my efc in and uh a battery mount. I got ta change that a little bit i’ll get that done and it’ll be ready to rip all right. So i went through and changed out all the bad parts. These linkages uh the steering linkage back here and i ended up putting a spacer here to make it line up better with the servo it’s, not the servo, that comes in the car, but this is a bigger one that i had in my uh rc gt10 and I just bolted that right through the bottom, that factory bolt hole worked and then i had the drill one right here.
You can see the one i put in it’s a little bit wider and when i put that in you just got ta like trim part of the frame just a little bit the plastic frame for the body to go back on it and you got ta trim. Trim the corner of this body just a little bit to make it fit, but we got the brushless motor in there the efc i just used a little bit of hot glue and stuck it down my receiver it’s, the only one i have it still works. Obviously, the antenna is a little short is in the car i crashed and this busted, but it still works. So i just kind of cobbled it up with hot glue to kind of seal this up from any kind of moisture, because this tire is going to be thrown right at it. I should have put it back here, but it’ll work for now. So if the linkages on there tires are a little bit bowed, quite a bit bowed actually but it’s, no adjustment so i’m just going to try it like that and in the rear we put these old linkages back on and these ones we kept the aluminum shock Tower and like the little mounts for it on the bottom side of the frame and on on the top of the the rear on the axle, but i can put my battery in here my 3s battery get that put in there.
I put a little hot glue there to keep it from rubbing. I need to do some trimming to make it fit better. Put that on there we’ll get the body back on. I think i’m going to take these lights off just might make it look a little bit better. I already cut the back where the spare tire carrier was it kind of hung down and it looks a little bit sharper, but it might be doing a little trimming up here to change these shocks out, but that’ll be in another video but uh. If you’re watching this thanks for watching stay tuned for when i get it all back together and we take it out and test it out, see if it breaks after five seconds like it has been just because it’s too much power in a little car.
