But on the inside, it’s got a couple of things that are different kind of like the chronos version two has as well. So let me go ahead and let me get this open and uh we’ll see what we got inside and guys you know i got to do it smell of that new rc car. You guys know you love it. So give me just a minute. I am going to get this all unpackaged. That looks actually pretty good too i’m going to get this all unpackaged and wrap and laid this out. Let’S see what we got. Let’S see what we’re working with here. Okay, i’m pulling this out the box, and this truck is actually looking pretty good it’s sitting lower than what i thought it was gon na sit, which i have no problem with that at all, and the back of this truck actually looks pretty good too. So they’ve done a couple of different things with this one that you won’t find, of course, on the version. One, the body style is still the same. They did give it a different paint scheme with it, but they did change out the willy bar instead of having two wheels and willy bars just got one back there. So we’ll be testing that willy bar to see how stable the truck is. When you do wheelies and stuff with it uh, so other things is that these kits these team karate kits, do not come with tools.
I i did my rad x6 didn’t, the um chronos did and then this one is no exception to the roy didn’t. Come with tools either. So if you get one of these make sure you have some tools or maybe purchase a tool kit, so maybe in the future, um they’ll do some maybe running updates to start including tools, at least some allen keys and something to get these uh tires and wheels Off with in the future uh so uh, looking at the radio uh, the radio is gon na, be their s2r radio. It is a 2.4 gigahertz radio um. It does have kind of your basic throttle, trims and stuff on there as well. Several reversing and i haven’t had any issues or problems with these radios at all. It’S been good range and good response and stuff, and they include this in all their 8 skills and their 10 scale cars as well. So all right. Looking back at the truck uh they’ve done, like i said, some modifications to make these trucks better, and this is going to have the same modifications that the chronos had, except for this chassis is going to be kind of a shorter wheelbase, for it tires are going To be the same as well, i haven’t had any problems or issues with the chronos tires. I don’t think i’ll have any with this. They never came unglued popped off the tire or anything like that, even running 6s and even though the front tires kind of ballooned more, they did start putting uh some um diff oil in i think it’s got maybe a 100k in the center div 10.
In the front and 10 in the rear for my chronos, i actually put 50 in the front recently and left the rear alone, because it was fine with that. So we’ll see how this fans out when i run this, but i like the way they did this. I really do like the way this body looks on this new color scheme and stuff for it suspension, setup, um doesn’t seem to be too bad uh. No, it doesn’t seem to be too bad at all. So we’ll put this to the test. Once we get a battery and stuff in it as well and get this running um other updates, they did as far as looking at the outside of this, they did update um their wing mount and stuff. They did actually put this brace on here, that’s, going to give us more stability so that that won’t break off so getting this off. Looking at the inside of this um, this should look familiar to the chronos and then also the red x6 that i unboxed and ran as well. There’S, no differences between uh that as far as the electronics and stuff they do have a 150 amp speed controller. A 20 50 kb motor and they got a high voltage metal gear servo up in here as well and uh with the rad x6. I haven’t had any problems with it with the chronos stay tuned, for my first run thoughts on that, because i did have a minor issue with that, but i was doing a lot of back flips on the street and stuff with that.
So uh they did include um. This doesn’t have on like on the chronos. The chronos actually has uh two chassis braces that come down. This just has one. So i was kind of curious of the strength of this here. So we’ll see we’ll do some some mild. I guess some mild big jumps, but not super big jumps just to see and make sure that this chassis holds up and it doesn’t fold. It is a three millimeter chassis, so i don’t expect that to bend or break uh the chassis but we’ll see as we get this out and running and stuff and there’s several other updates, as you guys saw as i was talking, it did kind of pop up And show those uh with it, so you guys can go over to the team karate site and check it out or you can go over to tiny adventures, rc, where you guys can purchase these from um and they probably have about one more in stock. They have several other team karate cars as well. This also comes with big board threaded body aluminum shocks, having any problems with the shocks or anything like that. So this is going to be my first run of and my first i guess dementor from that. I never got the version one because i had problems with my version, one chronos, but that has all been addressed with the version two so guys that’s going to be a quick unboxing of this um and looking around this, the body.
Actually, i know some people probably say: oh the body feels sheep. No, it doesn’t actually feels pretty thick and stuff i’m gon na probably align this body um. I don’t know i may do drywall tape this time or something like that – just to get a little bit more strength. But i don’t really plan on um trying to bash this as hard as i did the chronos, because they kind of prove that um that they have done the updates and updates are making the cards a lot more stronger than they were before. But i am curious about one two things, so i will be taking this on some pretty big jumps. I want to make sure that these chassis braces are stable enough to keep this car together and keep the chassis stuff from folding up so stay tuned for those um real, quick. Looking at the underside of the chassis, you know they’ve done, updates to this as well same as they did kind of for the chronos and stuff, and i haven’t had any problems like i said, with uh any bends or breaks.
