Why am i hiding behind all these boxes? I am not i’m in the process of announcing a new challenge for props and wheels. You may remember if you have been following our channel, that we did at 10. Minute runs in 10 day challenge recently, so today i would like to announce a new challenge, this time involving rc helicopters, so we are going to review 14 beginner friendly helicopters, rc helicopters in 14 days. Yes, this is our biggest challenge to date. If you are counting right, you may say: well: there are only 11 helicopters, 11 boxes and you’re right. There are three more coming on the way i didn’t receive them on time, but i didn’t want to delay the start date. So those those are going to be surprises. So what are we planning to? Do? We have three channel four channel, even one six channel helicopters. These have cost me significantly less than hundred dollars. Each many of them are less than twenty dollars and there are the higher end ones that are around. You know. 50. 60. 70. 000 range. So the purpose of this challenge is to show newcomers to the hobby that rc helicopters are attainable and you can buy one inexpensively and start a hobby. If you would like to try out without spending too much money, hey, there will be 14 helicopters in the next 14 days, and hopefully you will gain some knowledge from my experience and be able to decide what you would like to buy.
Alright, with that said, as i mentioned, we have some 3 channel helicopters. There are 4 channel helicopters of different type, some stabilized some are not so stabilized. Some are really small and some are quite larger, as you can see over here. So hopefully you will watch them all and they will give you an idea about what is out there these days for learning how to fly rc helicopters. My background has been mostly airplanes. Helicopters always scare me because they can move in any direction. They can move towards. Your face, if you do the wrong move so years ago i purchased a couple rc helicopters that turned out to be really difficult to fly. I almost crashed one. My air time on those were only couple seconds, probably total. So when these easy to fly, helicopters came out still starting with the coaxial four channel ones from e flight. You know i started my adventure, but i didn’t move really fast. So now is my also chance to learn to fly helicopters better, as you can tell, there are no brands from horizon hobby here, that’s by choice, because i don’t want to pay a lot of money and also i want to give newcomers low cost options. Of course, i’ll be testing out other brands from horizon hobby as well, like the blade series but i’m planning to do it in the budget rc series that i just started and in these 14 day challenge, my younger son will be helping me as well by trying Out some of these helicopters and give you his perspective, he is young, he is even less experienced than i am, and i think his perspective is going to be very important for younger fledgling rc helicopter pilots as well as people just not knowing what to expect.
He may share some insights that i may not have from a really different younger perspective. So with that said, i hope you will join us in the upcoming 14 days and we are planning to post one video per day in the next two weeks. You should be seeing the link to the first video over here, as well as down in the description section.
